Ironman mode is like the greatest idea for Skyrim run. I've been having so much fun with that ruleset, although I recommend an additional rule of no stealing, makes getting some key items more involved
No stealing is honestly tough to workaround. The amount of free salmon on the tables of every inn is huge. However during this run our best food supply came from cabbage and potato soup. 2 ingredients and plentiful. With that prep you can definitely do it without stealing!
@Joov Technically, farming isn't stealing as it incurs neither bounty nor comes up as red text to perform the action, I could argue that it is considered acceptable in Skyrim
@@peterheinisch2294 I mean, after farming you can sell the crops to the land owners and they'll pay you while saying "Honest pay, for honest work." I wouldn't call it stealing, and I don't think Joov is either

I think you forgot Alduin never lands on the ground unless you hit him with Dragonrend first, so even if you could survive the meteors you had no way of damaging him consistently.
So basically, in order to make this challenge even doable, you'd either need a good long-ranged offense (like a bound bow or something) or to run through the entirety of the first two acts.
So yeah, you have to speed run the main quest line.. which means getting the Elder Scroll and using it at the time rift on the throat of the world to learn dragonrend. And you've gotta fight Aldiun twice.. just like normal.
I watched the vods as they came out and the amount of time he spent jumping at butterflies and crafting bear traps (they kept getting stuck in the ground) was probably like an entire hour alone. It was great. I think the highlight for me was when after trying bear traps and rejecting them early in the run, he came back around hours later and became the greatest bear-trap assassin Tamriel has ever seen. 37:43 I'd choose either Adrianne or Belethor (only if misc items are a priority). Both are in Whiterun, which is ideal as it's the closest to a central Skyrim as you can get. Adrianne is literally 2 steps into town, and usually outside, so she minimizes loading screens. She has a great selection of tools, weapons, and crafting mats, as well as the occasional enchant. Belethor has basically the same stock but worse, except he can sell soul gems (including filled ones), lockpicks (I don't remember if you can craft them), and cure disease potions (to minimize the risk of wolf-borne diseases and unwanted vampirism (and because fighting hawks for their feathers is torture upon the mind body and soul)).

45:56 i didn't even know there was a bear trap skill tree 😂
Just starting this vid and it already sounds 10x cooler than I thought it would.
Won’t lie man I got hung up on another game almost the same age lately. Haven’t played Skyrim since December, bc I got hung up with GTA Online… thanks for reminding me which one is the better game. Loading in to Tamriel is like coming home after a long trip, no cars or traffic and most of all no griefers or modders to mess with you.
5:09 if you want this problem in any skyrim playthrough, i always start with using the setscale console command to make myself .8 times smaller than normal, it's the size of a child and you run a bit slower, plus i think your damage is reduced a bit. it can add a unique challenge to an already challenging run.
This really got off rails by the end and Alduin fight was such a mess. Glad to have have been there
I love watching these videos over and over again, cause I forget so easily
I'd love to see you do a run with only bear traps and see where this goes. It was so much fun to watch you try and use them.
I love the use of the Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant songs, easy my favourite PS2 Game, its shaped so much of what I like about music. The Wasteland theme is spectacular!
This video was the video that finally made me subscribe. You're editing quality has become IMMACULATE chefs kiss.
