So level 2 isn't a little better like you said.. its 100% better because it went fr 18 to 9 transmitted.. 9×2=18 so it's literally 100% better and safer to choose CE level 2
Hi! I have these two back protectors very different from one another both graded "level 2". But one is soft made out of a thick slab of memory foam (ARMURE BACK PROTECTOR, "made of Visco-Lab memory foam"); while the other one is hard plastic on the outer layer (looks like an insect exoskeleton on the outer layer) and has like a spongy padding on the inner layer it's one of those Daynese H.P.C armors for your back. I'm having trouble understanding which of these would protect best in case of an impact. The H.P.C. piece is much lighter and also much more right, while the memory foam is heavier and very soft (probably easily pierced though absorbs impact better probably? Not sure). What do you think? Thanks! EDIT: I found out that I could actually fit both armors on the jacket, so I put the hard plastic&foam on the outside and the memory foam on the inside hehehe. Thanks anyway! :D
Both will protect good because it's CE Level 2 rated but depends on preference really if you want lighter and more abrasion-resistant armor use the thermoplastic one but it's gonna be a bit uncomfortable
What are your thoughts one the "perrini white/black ce approved full body armor motorcycle jacket"? Also is there a vest out there with full torso and spine protection?
The important things you want to look for is the CE level 1 or CE level 2. The CE level 2 is going to offer you the best impact protection. With back protectors, you want to make sure the shape and size of the back protector. A CE level 2 back protector is not going to do you any good if you can’t fit it in your jacket or if the pocket is too big and it moves around on you.
OMG I found Ryan F9

This video helped me quite a bit on the research of my most recently uploaded video! Great info 👌
Thank you for the explanation. I was a bit confused about back protection ratings.
+SSchithFoo No problem - glad you found it useful! ~Ryan
