What a great review! Thanks.
Awesome review of this case JD
Very nice presentation. I got all of this information that I wanted to know about this case. Thanks!
Another great case review.
Not a single feature, or lack there of, was left out.
You nailed it!
Thanks brother, tried to get all POVs for anyone who watches it!
Excellent review thank you so much
Just found your channel and watched like 20 videos. Great job!
Wow, thanks a ton Matt!
I have been doing a lot of research on RGB ready computer cases and the only other case that I would consider over this would be the new Cooler Master H500 case coming out in about a week. With that said I still ordered this one from Amazon, because 4 rgb fans, tempered glass, and rgb controller for that price is too good to pass up. It is also a very nice looking case and has some very nice features. It arrives today and let the building fun begin!
Would it be wrong to say I cried a little bit when I saw the magnetic fan controller :D I've used way too many substandard controller boxes that, literally, leave ya hangin'....
I take back what I said on twitter, I actually like the overall looks and design, if not the too high price IMHO. $80-90.00 would have been a better price range to me. Great review as always, JD!
Dude seriously, I saw that nice fan controller and it was magnetic, I had the biggest smile on my face. Awesome I'm glad you liked it! This case caught me by surprise a little bit and I agree it should be cheaper, but this is very close to being TechSetupGear certified haha :P And thanks Michael!
Any idea what cable I need to connect the this controller to my rgb header on the mb?
Sick case
Awesome review and there is a lot of things I do like about this case
Would I be able to put 3 120 fans in front, bottom, and one on the left with a 360 rad up top?
In my opinion, the 4 RGB fans make it worth the money; otherwise I would have found the price to be a bit steep.
The PSU cover is sooooo dope!
I sometimes feel like some PC case manufacturers give up airflow like some sacrifice they have to make to the PC Gods or something -_-'
I agree
I agree
I DEFINITELY AGREE
I just ordered mine. Now I have to wait a month before I will get it.
is there a software to controll the coloure or only the button in front of the case?
What CPU cooler did you use in the case and whats the name of the song at the end of the video?
The CPU cooler I used is from this video, but I slapped a RGB fan on it: ruclips.net/video/4Nyw-077FVY/видео.html
The song is ruclips.net/video/lwZ0lXWENZ0/видео.html
a pc needs 3 fans inside if i get a pc case like this with the 3 fans at the front is that all i need?
do you think this case would be good for a RTX 2070, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, 2x120mm radiators and do you think it would overheat?
Hello do you think the Thermaltake Pacific M360 Plus water cooling will fit on this case?
Does the dust build up quick?
what does the reset button do?
Where can i buy the cmt520 PLUS?
Yo. What cpu cooler is that? Ty
Yeah I agree with Michael Livote nice case, but price wise should be $80-90.00
How do you change the color of the fens
what RAM are you using?
What kind of cable do I need to connect the fan/rgb controller to my mb. So I can use software to control it?
Molex
If anyone has done it, is it possible to build a custom filter for the front fans?
Does it have rainbow led tho
the fan compatible aura sync ?
I have so many case choices and I don't know which one to buy!
5:53 i got the same PSU, Ayyy!
is that the hyper x rgb ram?
What microphone do you use when recording your narration? It's extremely crisp audio. Great video, as always.
Thanks man, I use the Audio Technica AT2020, I have the rest of my audio gear on my kit link in the description, if it helps you out!
Hey. I am new to this "RGB world and I am going to buy this case. You said that the controller contains rgb header that connects to the rgb header on the motherboard, does my motherboard necessarily need to have a rgb connector or is there another way to control the RGBs? Thanks!
There needs to be a RGB header specifically on your motherboard to control the LED's through your motherboard/PC, otherwise there is a RGB controller on the front I/O to change and cycle through the colors and modes, hope that helps!
Forgot to mention, the hard drive cage is NOT movable, so measure your PSU before you buy because there's only 9" between the rear of the chassis and the HDD cage. Unless you mod it I guess by drilling out the rivets and moving the cage forward. The HDD cage could easily be moved another 2+ inches forward without hitting the fans. As it stands, that's just wasted space. Super short sighted design flaw IMO.
How good is the airflow in thus case? Will I need to add 3 more fans on top to cool the components?
I went over thermals in the video
What's the intro Song?
PS. Your B-Rolls are on point man. :)

Thanks a ton dude :)
Did anybody buy it, how is it do u recommend it?
I removed the screws for the back but it won’t come off
Nice
When I press the link it brings me to the fans not the case
Anyone know how to "safely" take out the front panel of this case, I know from the video I would have to "apply a bit of force" but I fear that some plastic parts of the front panel may break.
Use plastic prying tools
What's thats cpu cooler.
How much is it??
Every time I see you do a case review It’s like watching a movie then I think about how long it must’ve taken, and I’m like yikes!
Haha thanks man, it sure does take a while!
Hi I’m building a pc I’m trying to get a GTX 250 I3 and a ddr 3 still on the way but is a good starter pc and watching your vids helps me to now wats wat tanx keep it up

can you control the speed of the fans?
No
Dear JDTechGear!
Could you help me please? I have the same case. If i shutdown and turn on the pc, the fans loosing the settings what i previously choose. Why is that?
Thanks for your answer!
Best regards from Hungary!
István Pintér I have this case too! But how did you connect the fan controller to the motherboard?
Sorry but its my first time building a pc.
Hi, Air Adrian! I have not connected the fan controller to the motherboard, because i dont have rgb header on it. I connected the controller to the psu's 4-pin peripherial connector. By the way i have written to the FSP support, and got this answer: "We must be sorry to inform you that our CMT520’s controller isn’t supported remember function.(next revision will increase this function)
If your motherboard support RGB sync, you can use CMT520’s RGB sync cable to connect with motherboard."
are custom water cooling loops possible
Absolutely!
Hi, what do I need to control fans speed?
Michal Barkoci you can’t control the fan’s speed
Would I be able to mount a master liquid 120mm aio on top?
Yes I have one on mine
MultiChicklets okay thanks!
This isn’t a horrible case, the retarded front panel notwithstanding. Naturally, I’d replace every fan with Corsair magnetic levitation fans. You did really well bringing this to our attention, as always. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!
I bought this case 6 months ago. It gets pretty dusty rather quickly. The RGB on the fans are pretty bad at best. It's very easy to damage the fan leds just by touching the wiring. The quality of the wiring is very flimsy and just a slight shift can easily cause some of the leds in your fan to flicker or not function at all. In fact, I have actually caused some leds to flicker just by opening the back cover and blowing compressed air to dust the case. I would have to re-shift the fan wiring to make the leds stop flickering.
Also, having a flickering color on a single LED causes the rgb control to malfunction. If you're on a breathing mode with a particular color that's flickering, the rgb would automatically keep shifting color schemes until you reach a color that doesn't flicker. You're basically stuck with that color. Also, when I try to turn the rgb off via top button, it would stay off for a few seconds, then turn back on again. It's irritating.
I would say to stay away from this case. It's pretty pricey, and the lighting breaks pretty easily.
I have this case have none of those issues.
@@MultiChicklets I also have the case, and I DID have those issues. I replaced those fans. The case isn't worth the price and people are better off getting something else.
@@SalamanderXVII obviously you have it you states it before. Just because you had issues doesn't mean everyone else has. Your literally in the minority for bad reviews in it.
Are the fans quit or noisy?
@@tmkm_ they are quiet as can be honestly.
