FSP does listen to critique, so I really value their efforts, hope to see some cool new cases this year! This is the full article here: techsetupgear.wordpress.com/2018/01/15/fsp-cmt120/
How do you only have 22k? Your videos are of great quality and so enjoyable to see. You bring us what we want to see and present it perfectly. Keep it up! Happy that I’ve found you
I believe it's because of the RGB light trend. Lights simply look better behind acrylic/glass instead of mesh. This of course kills airflow...but it looks great! :/
I guess case manufactures are pushing aesthetics over functionality. I can remember back in the day, when PC cable management wasn't even given a second thought. "The Times They Are A-Changin".
Geo Sam one of my friend just takes off the front panel because his ryzen got super hot. He got tired of taking it all off so he just cuts a hole in the front panel so there’s more airflow.
Wow....not so good, eh? I've got the glass paneled RGB version of the Cooler Master 5...and it's an oven. But the build went easy, and it does look good when done, without the stock RGB fans which were very loud and simply were garbage. I replaced them with China RGB fan kits that came from a company called called Aisahorse from Amazon. Hydro bearings make them quiet, and the included controller is stellar. And of course I added a liquid cooler for my R3 build, necessary for this case with any processor. Pity on this one, I was hoping for a different option in that price range.
This is my second set, 4 RGB fans in total, plus a few of their really cheap($8.00 for 2...!) RGB LED strips. The controller works with all of them and can handle another 2 fans to boot...amazing for the money :)
I love the aesthetic on some of those Asiahorse/aigo fans, specifically the ones with the cylindrical mounting holes and ring-leds on both sides instead of just one side.
I tried out the Aigo's first....sent them back due to having no proper controller. Switching the light color with your reset switch is not such a great idea. Aisahorse uses a card controller, like the ones you see sold with RGB lights, it works great despite it's really short working range(you need to be all but on top of the case for it to work). The double ring look matches the look of the much more expensive Riing's from Thermaltake, and these are no worse output wise. Really a great buy if you wan't some cheap bling in your case :)
Good catch, I hadn't realized they were different. The TT riings look fine too, at least their lights are symmetrical front-back like the asiahorse ones, but the riings don't have the cylindrical screw-mounting holes which gives them a more square shape around the corners. 1. take the asiahorse fans (or the Coolermaster Mach Turbine), 2. use aluminium instead of black plastic, (maybe use scaffolding between the frame and mounting pillars) 3. use a two-layered clear/milky LED shroud instead of just the milky ones. Tadaa! I would give that a perfect score for aesthetics. And probably a lot more money than for simple plastic ones lol. Anyway, everyone has different tastes.
With cases like these, the choice for the front panel to be solid, and not a simple mesh option, just pisses me off. This cases biggest flaw would instantly be gone with that simple change. Or even just having it removable, there's still a plastic hexagonal pattern beneath it for basic finger safety. So close, but so far. All close alternatives only have the one bay, and two is already a bit less than a case going for the sort of budget, modular, older/classic appeal should have.
wow hot box looks nice but hmmm great video man 50 bucks for this case so gave you thumbs up man yea the front looks good but the mic headphone out put throw the colors off I can see it lol
I bought this case before seeing this review and I hated it. I definitely advise anyone looking into buying this case to just spend a little extra money to buy a nicer case.
Great video, horrible case. The HDD issue alone is a NoGo for me. Acrylic, bad ssd mounting, front fan mounting, bad airflow, bad front IO, no rubber grommets, etc etc etc make this a really bad case. I agree with you JD... For $50 I can name several MUCH better cases... Deepcool Dukase V2, CoolerMaster Masterbox lite 5 (that you mentioned), Phanteks P300, Corsair Carbide(s), etc etc etc...
Seems to be a very generic chassis. I've built a few PCs from different case makers, and the panels are all interchangeable. That aside, this case would benefit from the ASUS B350 Prime. It's slimmer so it may not block those routing holes as much, it's the same thing with the Thermaltake Versa N21 that I put together yesterday.
The case I got was the Vivo V01, it gets the job done, but I wouldn't recommend it and it only had the 6 standoffs already in the case. It's advertised as an ATX mid tower, so you'd think it would have all 9.
This seems to be a very poorly designed attempt at a case. I would not even pay $5 for it with all the issues is has. Maybe FSP will provide real cases this year. We shall see. Also, dust filters on top are quite useless since the top is normally used as an exhaust not an intake.

I can install a CD reader in the front right?
JDTechGear can it support an x470 motherboards and 120 fans
I agree, I purchased the CMT 230 and it's a very nice replacement for this!
This is the reason why to sub small channels they always bring the best things good work jd
I need you to make an audio tutorial cause daim every time watching a video is a mind blowing experience.
I took some of the elements from your tutorial man ;)

Thanks a ton man, I really appreciate the kind words :)
Thank you I’m Looking to build a pc and I want a new pc case and used parts. This is very helpful
I don't understand case manufactures trend, of blocking off the air flow from the front panel.
Why is this even a thing?
I believe it's because of the RGB light trend. Lights simply look better behind acrylic/glass instead of mesh. This of course kills airflow...but it looks great! :/

"The Times They Are A-Changin".
This makes sense. It's a proven design that works. It's like trying to reinvent the shoelace.
Hopefully aesthetics and functionality can be the norm for this year!
Geo Sam one of my friend just takes off the front panel because his ryzen got super hot. He got tired of taking it all off so he just cuts a hole in the front panel so there’s more airflow.
Thanks. You had mention all the things that makes me let off this case. Great video edition and camera views.
Best overall case is the Cougar Panzer...at $90 it's hard to beat.
idk man you are the first that make me subscribe with no reason i really like your content keep up the good work
What are those fans you used? They’re beautiful
sharkoon tg5 looks great and glass on the side and front and 4 fans pre installed but it is also cheap
Well it came with one fan the fans inside are my own haha

I like Asiahorse fans, they're cheap, but provide great value!

Just watching you build in it seems hard xD But for a first line I feel that it still has a long way to go.
What rgb fans where you useing?
What is the brand of fans in the cash register ?
I have a question what fan did you use for the front panel and top?
Can you once review the Cooltek NC-01. Tempered glass for only 49.90 Euros and mesh front intake.
wow hot box looks nice but hmmm great video man 50 bucks for this case so gave you thumbs up man yea the front looks good but the mic headphone out put throw the colors off I can see it lol
Yeah the colors threw me off haha
Teşekkürler,güzel video ve işime yaradı :))
Does it come with only one fan? If so, where do you get more?
what fans were you using on this case?
What kind of fans are in this case
Can you access angled SATA ports on ATX MBS?
How come the fsp cmt 120 case on the OFFICIAL website looks different
I bought this case before seeing this review and I hated it. I definitely advise anyone looking into buying this case to just spend a little extra money to buy a nicer case.
Me too right now

3:50 в комплекте есть болты как колёсики. их вкрутить в жёсткий диск и вставить в корпус. NOOB :)
I got a $30 case that was missing 3 standoffs, should I be worried?
There aren't any extra standoffs in the packet of screws that came with your case?
The case I got was the Vivo V01, it gets the job done, but I wouldn't recommend it and it only had the 6 standoffs already in the case. It's advertised as an ATX mid tower, so you'd think it would have all 9.
Pity, it's a clean look. And that perforated mesh behind the front fans seems completely unnecessary :(
Yeah man clean, but that's about it
Hmmm seems like a bit of a tricky case to build in.
Verrrrry tricky!
Would you say it's trickier to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time? ^^
...... I am oddly proud of that joke ^^'
Could I get a shout out? Nice review, smooth transitions and nice quality
Can i get this in the UK?
Never mind, i dont want it 😅
I feel like if you were on a budget you would wanna go for a bad case but good components
But the thing is there are better case for $50, same budget but better options
Nobody cares that im first
Gaming
