In this short video I travelled to Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia and posed for a ghostly tintype photograph with Dave from Victorian Photography Studio! I've had several tintypes taken by him and it is always an amazing experience! His studio is based in Gettysburg, VA and I can't recommend them enough for having a real-life tintype made: www.victorianphotostudio.com/...
You can also see a few youtube videos Dave made about the processing of taking a wetplate photo: • Tintype process
In this dress I'm wearing my Edwardian White Sands Dress, which you can see the making of in a multi-part series starting here: • Making an Edwardian Fl...

The picture came out so amazing! It's such a perfect "mourning ghost bride" image, I love it. And your hair looks so beautiful when its down.
That was amazing - I think the ‘atmospheric’ rain made it even better, I hope you didn’t have to get too cold!
Luckily it was a pretty warm day (we actually did this about a month ago) so all in all it wasn't too awful. And Dave said that overcasts days are the best for tintypes!
Oh my goodness...I just got chills watching this!!!!
Wow, thank you!
I love how you got out of the frame!!! hee hee hee. SPOOPY!!!
oh wow! so beautiful! I live in Richmond and I absolutely love taking photos or just picnicing in Hollywood Cemetary. its so serene and lovely.
Oh my GOODNESS! That was so cool!!! And the perfect length of exposure to make you ethereal - how clever!
Dave is a genius! I was so impressed that he could do this!
Such an amazing idea! Reminds me of when my mom took a photography class and we got to be subjects for her long exposure pictures!
This is such a cool photograph ! Theodore Frick was my 4th great grandfather and I absolutely LOVE Hollywood Cemetery!
Hauntingly beautiful has never seemed as fitting a description as it does for this photo. What a fantastic photograph! Your photographer is so cool and very skilled!
That photo is just brilliant! And you haven't done some half-indecent car changing into a costume, can one even call oneself a cos-person? 😂 lord only knows how many times I've done that because driving hours in some costumes if a firm NOPE from me.
Definitely lol! It is a requirement of the hobby!
So beautiful! I love the magic in watching a tintype develop!
It's so amazing! Even to our modern eyes. I can't imagine what an experience it must have been for folks seeing it in the proper time!
Looks stunning and so ethereal.

That’s cool! I love how the dress lends itself so beautifully to the etherealness (if that isn’t a real word, it should be! 😂) of the photo. I really dig it!!

I see figures above the fence at the finished photo at the very end.
