This really spoke to me.
I took from this that the waves were an example of a trial in life. That Jesus is there with us in the trial even though we can't physically see Him He is there. We must fix our eyes on Jesus no matter the trials as He is the author and perfecter of our faith.
I find it so interesting that only in the book of Mark does it mention that during the storm, Jesus was asleep on a cushion. He's the only one that mentions that and of course it's no coincidence. I think it fully illustrates how comfortable and relaxed Jesus was meanwhile the disciples were panicking because of the storm.

The ultimate purpose and message of the Parable of the sower isn’t to see which people fit into or TRY to fit into
One of the main purpose of this parable was that Jesus himself was establishing and setting the standard of spreading the good news which is through simply preaching and not miracles (Mark 1:38) John 5:24). Not only does this set a standard for the people receiving the gospel but for the apostles as well and Jesus equipping them to go out and do their own ministry after he dies and comes back to life.
The actual message of the parable is that there will be a Harvest for the people of God even though there are other responses no matter what there will be a harvest from the fruit of the word of God through preaching
One takeaway from this chapter:
I learned Jesus mostly speaks in parables which is hard to understand even for the disciples.
Jesus stops a storm and the disciples were shocked it is still hard for them to believe what he can do
Questions that came from reading this chapter:
How can I "shine my light" on others and show my visibility of his word?
Other thoughts or insights the Lord has shared with me in this time:
I think this chapter was telling me you can do anything if you have God with you.
God/Jesus can help you grow and spread your "light" to others

The bible is so interesting thank you and God bless you for sharing this video. I like the end chapter of Matthew 19:30 just shows how God is considerate of those who put him first and decided to live truly for him in spirit and truth. And that all our labour will not be in vain till the lord Jesus fulfils the promise for us in the kingdom of God.
Such a good remind to continue to keep on striving for righteousness, to be a better person in the sight of God.
