Yoh that part when you said "when Jesus looks at you and says you still dont have enough faith" - Oh man hit me hard, we had a MightyMen meeting in South Africa 3 months ago which I was at. And my friend who I went with who has child like faith was called upon by the Holy Spirit with 3 other gentleman to pray over a old man who was in a wheelchair. This old man literally didnt have any hips and he got up and walked after powerful prayers over him. It happened right in front of me and even the circumstances leading to us sitting where we were was a miracle in itself. Praise Jesus and just as you said here even witnessing things like this there are times when worry hits me and I look inward to sort out my issues and Jesus says "Hey, keep your eyes on me" Ah man I just love the Lord so much and I am so grateful even when my faith lacks I will keep running back to my Heavenly Father! For I thought of some of the same things you’re saying especially about the pastors /teachers teaching sermons on the scriptures, It’s like they give a parable onto a parable lol! Oh when a Pastor said about #thechosen show, she said and others that some of it’s not in the Bible (Mary Magdalene story of the demonic and abuse in the red district from the soldiers, her father passing away and her story in the Bible I heard stuff like how could they do that? I and some others will take literal the scriptures in some areas and not in another area of it so sermons or messages teaching is spin off of the Bible in their own views, experience, knowledge, research so too to me it’s not a whole lot different than Dallas & writers are able to tap into imagination and research with like what behind scenes in the scriptures it’s a story and so cool is there you’re sharing about The Word message is about The Kingdom! I pray for the naysayers & all Christians because of some character building which we would do that anyway when that he gives us divine creative license to paint, make music, arts and entertainment for the glory of God and our growth in faith as well as ministering to others! anyway I am a chosen fan so they can’t talk me out of it It’s been like a soothing balm and somewhat prophetic in my life! 8:21 you're absolutely right here... I up until not long ago used to claim that the Bible was "illegible" in English, it simply couldn't be read or understood... then I watched "The Chosen". Then I began to want to get into my Gospels and Bible. Suddenly I'm now able to look in my cherished Gideons New Testament and be blown away at not just how "legible" it is, but how it speaks EXACTLY to my situation and life. Praise God now and forever.
Thank you for explaining these parables, it all makes sense now. I've read them many times and sort of understood them, but not entirely or at a deeper level. Much of what Jesus said when he was teaching is so deep that it goes right over my head sometimes. Thankfully, there are people like you, who the Holy Spirit is using, to teach us these deeper things that Jesus was teaching us.

I'm super blessed by this message. The part when you talked about after God had answered your prayers and you've seen mighty workings of the holy spirit and God still asks you, "do you have faith", it's like you were talking to me. Last year, I passed through a lot, I lost my mum the previous years, lost a lot of money, my laptop was stolen and I didn't have any means to pay my school fees, I was almost depressed if not for people around me God used for me and funny enough, God came through in a miraculous way that I could never imagine. Similar thing happened this year, no means to pay school fees, I was owing my rent and there was a business I entered into with some people that didn't go well and I ran into debt. I was almost doubting God cause I didn't know what else I could do or where I could look to, coupled with all of these was the fact that because of my greed, I was duped and I had to sell my phone to pay the debt. Since then I just put my trust in God and he surprised my family and I in a very big way and as I speak, I'm writing this testimony with a new phone. This is is just a few of the great things God has done in my life this year and it reminds me of a passage in I think Hebrews where it said, "...if we are faithless, he's ever faithful..." I really need to repent from everytime I've not had faith and as you said, give him our all and by so doing, more would be added. Thank you Mr Brandon. I really appreciate sir. God bless you.
I know the Bible is so very important. It is His word. Then why is it that some people ,myself included,don’t understand it sometimes because it’s in parables?
It. can definitely be hard. But I have found that the more we search and pray, the easier it becomes. I hope videos like this can be helpful in that journey. I will admit, that are many scriptures I have read over the years that I have not understood. I've had to look to others for help. I believe that's why Jesus always kept his disciples in pairs/groups. We grow and understand better when we can do it alongside others.

Jesus spoke in parables so that they would NOT understand what He was saying. This was done ON PURPOSE SPECIFICALLY SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND. This is God's sovereign election in action.

"Because in Matthew's version of this parable, Jesus says that the word (the seed) '...is the message about the Kingdom' (Matt. Ch. 13, v. 18)" (10:17). Absolutely so! Well done! It's NOT the later "Gospel," much less the religion and "church," that the "apostles" and Saul/Paul later concocted out of their time with and/or understanding of Jesus. Instead... with Jesus it was ALL about the coming "Kingdom of God" He taught constantly... that the "apostles" (much less Saul) never understood. And sadly, neither does any in what we call "Christianity," today. NOBODY understood Jesus' message... except His inner circle... His REAL inner circle... the same ones who suddenly ALSO disappear with Jesus from the historical record after His "resurrection"...having become part of that "Kingdom" not of this Earth. The fact is... the "apostles" never understood Jesus... and Saul, even less so. Thus why they ALL awaited a "Kingdom" that never came, a "Jesus" who never returned. All their lives they waited in vain for what they had understood to be a "Kingdom" that would arrive in their lifetimes... and never understood that it and Jesus had both already come and gone without them. They never did have "ears to hear" ... for they never understood Jesus' parables... and because of that, they were never taught the "secret" (mystery) of the "Kingdom of God."

I'm sorry @Brandon... I would just like to Thank you for bring up this Subject, as I find it yo be, one of Jesus' Main Message to the ,'entire Ctowd. When Jesus had the attention of 'Everyone', He was also willing other's who understood, into looking atound them....at their neighbors, who were those who were lacking the ability to understand what their 'Savior' was 'Truly' saying. He said it, a few times. Once when He spoke about Children...of whim we 'All Are'. He spoke of a will to give up your life, in ways that you are able, in order to help them, by either: Fertilizing (feeding), ("Feed My Sherp",) (No greater Love)... Bringing the fresh water (The Water He gave excess to, whom could easily share of their excess) (The Word of GOD, and that even the drops that are needed, for growth, and fullfilling their potential lives) Cultivating (removing the obstacles...the "stumbling blocks'). (The dried clay from their eyes) Realignment (Giving a hand, bring them off of the beaten path, back onto the path of righteousness) (Back to the narrow way( ,( back into the fold)... Jesus spike these Parable', so as to remind those that gave much, can easily heko those who have little they can spare, and are heading for total destruction of self worth, let alone on the verge of running out, if what little they have, even their live's. He did this in Parables, to give them time to see around them, and to hear what He was Truly saying, without taking away the pride ot the people who, "had not". "Let not the left hand, know what the right hand is doing." Helping without needing to think about it...without fanfare...without counting your good works, because they aren't to be work...they should be family. Brother's and Sister's, Mother's. The family Jesus asked them, who are My Brother's....... They had not the understanding, not because of unwillingness, but for having much toil, in having to just survive. The helping hand, from reaching out, and showing compassion, as Christ had done unto them...could multiply, by whatever excess neighbors had, to help one another...would give the 'children of God', examples of kindness, that might come forth from them, to other's. A sort of 'cross pollination'. If they could do that while Jesus was still teaching in the flesh. .they could "multiply" what Jesus left them with...until He could return for His 'well tended Harvest'. The people who were able to hear Jesus clearly, because they heard it from His own mouth, should have been able to remember what He taught them. If not then ...when The Holy Spirit, was sent to guide them, comfort them, heal them (Spiritually, and even physically, if able, and if they were guided to lay hands upon them) They were to welcome the one's whom The Good Shepherd brought back into The Fold, while His Holy Spirit guided, and continues to "make way, for The Kingdom of GOD'.... And while doing so. While being renewed through, and by The Spirit....helping to bring expansion to The Garden of Eden...The Holy of Holies.... Where Christ sits ...on the right hand of God, Our Father. Where we can rest in Peace with The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Amen 💜 (I have had so much Scripture popping into my head, I Pray that other's will, as well)
I’ll give you a secret message that is revealed by the Mundane Numerology of the Holy Spirit in the triangulation of Revelation 13, Mark 13 and Matthew 13 that is ratified by Mark 4 First of all, in the numerology of the Bible, 13 represents the Finger of God, generally, but, more specifically, the Terrible Swift Sword of Yaewh, Queen of battle. The 3 is the Triune Crown of Yaweh, queen of Battle and the 1 is both Her Terrible Swift Sword and a lightening bolt. He is an instrument of the apocalypse described in the Olivet Discourse in Mark 13 and the verse structure of the first 18 lines of Revelation 13 is identical to the verse structure of Matthew 13, which is a survey of the response of 3 different demographics in Judea to Jesus, the Jewish response being 30 fold, the gentile response being 60 fold and the response of the Roman soldiers after Resurrection being 100 fold, i.e. 100%, And, oof course, the numerology of the trinity of 13 reduces to 4 and Mark 4 anticipates Matt 4 anticipates the Parable of the Sower in the first 18 lines of Matthew 13. The Gospels aren’t all basebal camp theology. Your critical historic method of the Total Depravity Gospel of Pro-Life Fascism leaves a lot out. Hegel’s critical literary analysis puts iof the Liberation Gospel of George Washington and Pope Francis pust it back in.
"So when Jesus says, 'whoever has ears let him hear', what He's really saying is: 'whoever has ears ... will obey." (6:43) Wow... I'm sorry, but that's not at all what this means. Instead, this means (as implied also in Mark 4 vs. 12) Jesus is about to reveal something especially profound that only those with true understanding will comprehend and "get." And we know this because... every time Jesus says this, it is as prequel NOT to a commandment but instead to a principle... a "mystery"... that is difficult to understand UNLESS you have real understanding; unless you have "ears" to "hear" and understand.

John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” 7. “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” 8. “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” ... Matthew 10: 7. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. . A show of the flesh is meaningless.

Excellent video. The irony is the “church” thinks it understands the parables. Mark Twain once said, “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.” The best way o understand parables is to let the Bible itself define the terms. Consider the Lost Silver Coin Parable. The lost coin of the ten is the 4th, that is the Sabbath, but this doesn’t fit with the “church’s” theology. Unlearn what you think is Truth. Psalm 119:142 Learn what sin is - Torahlessness. 1 John 3:4
Those who have, will have more.. and those who have nothing will lose more… (paraphrasing obviously).. to me also sounds like a scarcity mindset. If you think you have “nothing”, then you have more of nothing. But Even if you literally have nothing, but still feel and believe you’re not lacking… you are richer
I'm really looking at the end of this chapter (verses 36-41) with fresh eyes. It's such a badass moment! In 36 it says there are other little ships, but not who is on them. Then after He gets woken up he rebukes the wind and commands the sea. 2 of the 3 top tier gods of the Greco-Roman world are represented here: zeus/Jupiter and poseidon/neptune. Jesus just told them to sit down and shut up....and they obeyed Him. In the last verse it says 'they' feared and said to one another...'they' could be just the disciples marvelling over what this means (they, too would have been familiar with the roman gods) but 'they' could be the people on the other boats. I looked at it both ways, how would jews see this/how would gentiles see this? Wind and sea could easily be interpreted/replaced as zeus and poseidon. Who is this man that even the gods obey? Who is this man who has authority over the heavens and earth? I don't think Jesus was just performing a miracle, i think he's making a bold statement of His divinity. They're asking the question He just answered. Other kings have to brag about their power to have any, the King of kings just gets it done and His actions do the bragging for Him
Please help me understand. Born again in water. I have accepted Christ in my life. My church states that I must be born again in physical water, be immersed. Matthew 13:13 using the same terminology but clearer...Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. Jesus again is quoting Psalm 82: They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. Jesus spoke in parables so that those that the Father calls to Jesus...may hear Him. In the beginning of Psalm 82 it says that Elohiym is in the congregation of elohiym judging among elohiym. It also says Elohiym is unjust. So...that's not Jesus. And all the foundations of the earth are out of course...that would be the foundations of Genesis 1...where Elohiym did a whole lot of evil and called it good. Genesis 1 was where the younger sons of the Most High fell into the lies of Lucifer. Parables address the angels of the Most High that are in flesh. And that parable about the sower was the types of seed that are sown...aka who will hear the parable and understand, and who won't...because the children of the light will hear His voice and He will lead them into all truth. We are the angels that kept not our first estate. Chains are ligaments of the body. Everlasting means forward and backwards...evil and good facing away from each other, unaware. Each of us is the kingdom divided that will not stand...unless we trust in Jesus and let Him convert us and heal us. And if we don't accept the free gift of eternal life, that same life we bartered away in order to come into the flesh, we go into the pit as prey. We are born DOWN as Ben Elohiym, child of the gods/angels, and when we are converted we are adopted back into the Father's family and become Ben El. Also, Jesus was Emmanuel, not Emmanuelohiym. Genesis 1 was the evil called good, the vanity of vanities, and there is no way that Jesus would create phantoms and idols (tselem) because He hates them. Arise son of Adam. When Jesus comes and raises the converted out of this snakeskin, the very act of raising us judges the earth...because the angels left behind did not turn back to the Father.
parables r just verbal puzzles, just like other puzzles not everyone can solve it. christianity is just another sect of the occult but supposedly denounce all that the occult practice WHILE practicing it & calling it something different.

If you have answered this before please point me to your answer. God has definitely given you a gift to minister and I thank him for bringing you into my life.
So many of them rejected what he was teaching. He confused them even more using parables. Those whose hearts & minds were open & desiring to know & follow God's way (his way), they would think hard on those parables, they would week him for understanding, whereas the others would hear it & just move on. A lot of Christians today are close minded, hard hearted, not actually seeking or listening to God.
I fear that you have become one of the "birds of the air" nesting in the branches of the Word. Making a living trying to explain that which you do not truly understand yourself. Jesus spoke in parables because he was seeking people with spiritual wisdom, and inviting them to come to a spiritual feast. To sit down and share what they knew with him as he shared with them. (Feeding the 5000) He got back more knowledge than he gave out. He was reconstituting the corrupted word.
You better listen to Neville Goddard who left in 1972 and left experience all man who drink the cup good and evil by one power, your Christ not a flesh and blood asleep greats, Baptist John was a pattern for being great flesh but least to least in knowing christ in them, when stopping milk then they are Christ. I think the people of Jesus’s times on Earth were much smarter than me. They understood the parables. The problem with the Bible is just what you often say, “that’s not what Jesus is saying here”, as you explain the phrase. It is impossible for a person to know what Jesus is saying in the Bible without someone else who studied the Bible in seminary explaining it to them. Maybe the Bible needs to be written in modern words. The idea that some words in the Bible were interpreted incorrectly, such that we can’t really understand what Jesus is saying to us, is not the way to have people understand the Bible. This is not your fault obviously, but I am just frustrated, being a Senior Citizen who still doesn’t completely understand the Bible., but I want to. My belief in Jesus I’d more in faith then in understanding.
Because the mystery of God is hidden from some people, some people have spirit of stupor. Theirs four kinds of ground. The sowers expectations is what falls on good ground. It's not the character of the seed, but the condition of the ground. Different reasons, the cares of this world, or, pursuit of wealth and chasing dreams and pleasures of this life. Their void of the holy spirit. Its needed for guidance and understanding. Other factors, selfishness and pride. Romans chapter 11 declares that Israel didn't obtain what it sought, but the election hath obtained it, and rest were blinded. Some people have spirit of slumber. God's election have holy spirit. The election earned it from the first earth age. Revelation chapter 12, satan deceived one third of God's children in first earth age. Jeremiah chapter 4, satan led a rebellion against God, one third of God's children followed satan. Everyone must be born one time in the flesh, to be tested. They can follow satan or Jesus. God will not force anyone to love Him. It's a personal choice. If you lack faith, try praying for it, and repentance. Only God can open and close eyes, speaking spirtualty.

Yoh that part when you said "when Jesus looks at you and says you still dont have enough faith" - Oh man hit me hard, we had a MightyMen meeting in South Africa 3 months ago which I was at. And my friend who I went with who has child like faith was called upon by the Holy Spirit with 3 other gentleman to pray over a old man who was in a wheelchair. This old man literally didnt have any hips and he got up and walked after powerful prayers over him. It happened right in front of me and even the circumstances leading to us sitting where we were was a miracle in itself. Praise Jesus and just as you said here even witnessing things like this there are times when worry hits me and I look inward to sort out my issues and Jesus says "Hey, keep your eyes on me"

8:21 you're absolutely right here... I up until not long ago used to claim that the Bible was "illegible" in English, it simply couldn't be read or understood... then I watched "The Chosen". Then I began to want to get into my Gospels and Bible. Thank you for explaining these parables, it all makes sense now. I've read them many times and sort of understood them, but not entirely or at a deeper level. Much of what Jesus said when he was teaching is so deep that it goes right over my head sometimes. I'm super blessed by this message. The part when you talked about after God had answered your prayers and you've seen mighty workings of the holy spirit and God still asks you, "do you have faith", it's like you were talking to me.
Last year, I passed through a lot, I lost my mum the previous years, lost a lot of money, my laptop was stolen and I didn't have any means to pay my school fees, I was almost depressed if not for people around me God used for me and funny enough, God came through in a miraculous way that I could never imagine. Similar thing happened this year, no means to pay school fees, I was owing my rent and there was a business I entered into with some people that didn't go well and I ran into debt. I was almost doubting God cause I didn't know what else I could do or where I could look to, coupled with all of these was the fact that because of my greed, I was duped and I had to sell my phone to pay the debt.
Since then I just put my trust in God and he surprised my family and I in a very big way and as I speak, I'm writing this testimony with a new phone. This is is just a few of the great things God has done in my life this year and it reminds me of a passage in I think Hebrews where it said, "...if we are faithless, he's ever faithful..." I really need to repent from everytime I've not had faith and as you said, give him our all and by so doing, more would be added.

It. can definitely be hard. But I have found that the more we search and pray, the easier it becomes. I hope videos like this can be helpful in that journey. I will admit, that are many scriptures I have read over the years that I have not understood. I've had to look to others for help. I believe that's why Jesus always kept his disciples in pairs/groups. We grow and understand better when we can do it alongside others.

"The water provided a natural amplification." WOW!!!. I never thought about that.
"Because in Matthew's version of this parable, Jesus says that the word (the seed) '...is the message about the Kingdom' (Matt. Ch. 13, v. 18)" (10:17). Absolutely so! Well done!
It's NOT the later "Gospel," much less the religion and "church," that the "apostles" and Saul/Paul later concocted out of their time with and/or understanding of Jesus. Instead... with Jesus it was ALL about the coming "Kingdom of God" He taught constantly... that the "apostles" (much less Saul) never understood. And sadly, neither does any in what we call "Christianity," today. NOBODY understood Jesus' message... except His inner circle... His REAL inner circle... the same ones who suddenly ALSO disappear with Jesus from the historical record after His "resurrection"...having become part of that "Kingdom" not of this Earth.
The fact is... the "apostles" never understood Jesus... and Saul, even less so. Thus why they ALL awaited a "Kingdom" that never came, a "Jesus" who never returned. All their lives they waited in vain for what they had understood to be a "Kingdom" that would arrive in their lifetimes... and never understood that it and Jesus had both already come and gone without them. They never did have "ears to hear" ... for they never understood Jesus' parables... and because of that, they were never taught the "secret" (mystery) of the "Kingdom of God."

I would just like to Thank you for bring up this Subject, as I find it yo be, one of Jesus' Main Message to the ,'entire Ctowd.
When Jesus had the attention of 'Everyone', He was also willing other's who understood, into looking atound them....at their neighbors, who were those who were lacking the ability to understand what their 'Savior' was 'Truly' saying.
He said it, a few times.
Once when He spoke about Children...of whim we 'All Are'.
He spoke of a will to give up your life, in ways that you are able, in order to help them, by either:
Fertilizing (feeding), ("Feed My Sherp",) (No greater Love)...
Bringing the fresh water (The Water He gave excess to, whom could easily share of their excess) (The Word of GOD, and that even the drops that are needed, for growth, and fullfilling their potential lives)
Cultivating (removing the obstacles...the "stumbling blocks'). (The dried clay from their eyes)
Realignment (Giving a hand, bring them off of the beaten path, back onto the path of righteousness) (Back to the narrow way( ,( back into the fold)...
Jesus spike these Parable', so as to remind those that gave much, can easily heko those who have little they can spare, and are heading for total destruction of self worth, let alone on the verge of running out, if what little they have, even their live's.
He did this in Parables, to give them time to see around them, and to hear what He was Truly saying, without taking away the pride ot the people who, "had not".
"Let not the left hand, know what the right hand is doing."
Helping without needing to think about it...without fanfare...without counting your good works, because they aren't to be work...they should be family. Brother's and Sister's, Mother's.
The family Jesus asked them, who are My Brother's.......
They had not the understanding, not because of unwillingness, but for having much toil, in having to just survive.
The helping hand, from reaching out, and showing compassion, as Christ had done unto them...could multiply, by whatever excess neighbors had, to help one another...would give the 'children of God', examples of kindness, that might come forth from them, to other's.
A sort of 'cross pollination'.
If they could do that while Jesus was still teaching in the flesh. .they could "multiply" what Jesus left them with...until He could return for His 'well tended Harvest'.
The people who were able to hear Jesus clearly, because they heard it from His own mouth, should have been able to remember what He taught them.
If not then ...when The Holy Spirit, was sent to guide them, comfort them, heal them (Spiritually, and even physically, if able, and if they were guided to lay hands upon them)
They were to welcome the one's whom The Good Shepherd brought back into The Fold, while His Holy Spirit guided, and continues to "make way, for The Kingdom of GOD'....
And while doing so.
While being renewed through, and by The Spirit....helping to bring expansion to The Garden of Eden...The Holy of Holies....
Where Christ sits ...on the right hand of God, Our Father.
Where we can rest in Peace with The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

I’ll give you a secret message that is revealed by the Mundane Numerology of the Holy Spirit in the triangulation of Revelation 13, Mark 13 and Matthew 13 that is ratified by Mark 4
First of all, in the numerology of the Bible, 13 represents the Finger of God, generally, but, more specifically, the Terrible Swift Sword of Yaewh, Queen of battle. The 3 is the Triune Crown of Yaweh, queen of Battle and the 1 is both Her Terrible Swift Sword and a lightening bolt. You can see this in the mundane numerology of Daniel 13:7, where 7 is a lightening rod.
So, Revelation 13 is a literary cubist portrait of the centurion in Mark 15:39 who exercised the death warrant number 666 of Jesus. He is an instrument of the apocalypse described in the Olivet Discourse in Mark 13 and the verse structure of the first 18 lines of Revelation 13 is identical to the verse structure of Matthew 13, which is a survey of the response of 3 different demographics in Judea to Jesus, the Jewish response being 30 fold, the gentile response being 60 fold and the response of the Roman soldiers after Resurrection being 100 fold, i.e. 100%,
And, oof course, the numerology of the trinity of 13 reduces to 4 and Mark 4 anticipates Matt 4 anticipates the Parable of the Sower in the first 18 lines of Matthew 13.

Instead, this means (as implied also in Mark 4 vs. 12) Jesus is about to reveal something especially profound that only those with true understanding will comprehend and "get." And we know this because... every time Jesus says this, it is as prequel NOT to a commandment but instead to a principle... a "mystery"... that is difficult to understand UNLESS you have real understanding; unless you have "ears" to "hear" and understand.

Excellent video. The irony is the “church” thinks it understands the parables. Mark Twain once said, “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.” The best way o understand parables is to let the Bible itself define the terms. Consider the Lost Silver Coin Parable. The lost coin of the ten is the 4th, that is the Sabbath, but this doesn’t fit with the “church’s” theology. Unlearn what you think is Truth. Psalm 119:142 Learn what sin is - Torahlessness. 1 John 3:4
Those who have, will have more.. and those who have nothing will lose more… (paraphrasing obviously).. to me also sounds like a scarcity mindset. If you think you have “nothing”, then you have more of nothing. But Even if you literally have nothing, but still feel and believe you’re not lacking… you are richer

I'm really looking at the end of this chapter (verses 36-41) with fresh eyes. It's such a badass moment! In 36 it says there are other little ships, but not who is on them. Then after He gets woken up he rebukes the wind and commands the sea. 2 of the 3 top tier gods of the Greco-Roman world are represented here: zeus/Jupiter and poseidon/neptune. Jesus just told them to sit down and shut up....and they obeyed Him. In the last verse it says 'they' feared and said to one another...'they' could be just the disciples marvelling over what this means (they, too would have been familiar with the roman gods) but 'they' could be the people on the other boats. I looked at it both ways, how would jews see this/how would gentiles see this? Wind and sea could easily be interpreted/replaced as zeus and poseidon. Who is this man that even the gods obey? Who is this man who has authority over the heavens and earth? I don't think Jesus was just performing a miracle, i think he's making a bold statement of His divinity. They're asking the question He just answered. Other kings have to brag about their power to have any, the King of kings just gets it done and His actions do the bragging for Him
Please help me understand. Born again in water. I have accepted Christ in my life. My church states that I must be born again in physical water, be immersed. Matthew 13:13 using the same terminology but clearer...Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. Jesus again is quoting Psalm 82: They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. Jesus spoke in parables so that those that the Father calls to Jesus...may hear Him. In the beginning of Psalm 82 it says that Elohiym is in the congregation of elohiym judging among elohiym. It also says Elohiym is unjust. So...that's not Jesus. And all the foundations of the earth are out of course...that would be the foundations of Genesis 1...where Elohiym did a whole lot of evil and called it good. Genesis 1 was where the younger sons of the Most High fell into the lies of Lucifer. Parables address the angels of the Most High that are in flesh. And that parable about the sower was the types of seed that are sown...aka who will hear the parable and understand, and who won't...because the children of the light will hear His voice and He will lead them into all truth. We are the angels that kept not our first estate. Chains are ligaments of the body. Everlasting means forward and backwards...evil and good facing away from each other, unaware. Each of us is the kingdom divided that will not stand...unless we trust in Jesus and let Him convert us and heal us. And if we don't accept the free gift of eternal life, that same life we bartered away in order to come into the flesh, we go into the pit as prey. We are born DOWN as Ben Elohiym, child of the gods/angels, and when we are converted we are adopted back into the Father's family and become Ben El. Also, Jesus was Emmanuel, not Emmanuelohiym. Genesis 1 was the evil called good, the vanity of vanities, and there is no way that Jesus would create phantoms and idols (tselem) because He hates them. Arise son of Adam. When Jesus comes and raises the converted out of this snakeskin, the very act of raising us judges the earth...because the angels left behind did not turn back to the Father.
parables r just verbal puzzles, just like other puzzles not everyone can solve it. christianity is just another sect of the occult but supposedly denounce all that the occult practice WHILE practicing it & calling it something different.

If you have answered this before please point me to your answer. God has definitely given you a gift to minister and I thank him for bringing you into my life.
So many of them rejected what he was teaching. He confused them even more using parables. Those whose hearts & minds were open & desiring to know & follow God's way (his way), they would think hard on those parables, they would week him for understanding, whereas the others would hear it & just move on. A lot of Christians today are close minded, hard hearted, not actually seeking or listening to God.
I fear that you have become one of the "birds of the air" nesting in the branches of the Word. Making a living trying to explain that which you do not truly understand yourself. Jesus spoke in parables because he was seeking people with spiritual wisdom, and inviting them to come to a spiritual feast. To sit down and share what they knew with him as he shared with them. (Feeding the 5000) He got back more knowledge than he gave out. He was reconstituting the corrupted word.

You can only stay on that path threw God. Yes it is important the surface of it but that is the danger... It causes separation because we fight about a word or this or that or your Bible is wrong. I think the people of Jesus’s times on Earth were much smarter than me. They understood the parables. The problem with the Bible is just what you often say, “that’s not what Jesus is saying here”, as you explain the phrase. It is impossible for a person to know what Jesus is saying in the Bible without someone else who studied the Bible in seminary explaining it to them. Maybe the Bible needs to be written in modern words. The idea that some words in the Bible were interpreted incorrectly, such that we can’t really understand what Jesus is saying to us, is not the way to have people understand the Bible. This is not your fault obviously, but I am just frustrated, being a Senior Citizen who still doesn’t completely understand the Bible., but I want to. My belief in Jesus I’d more in faith then in understanding.
Because the mystery of God is hidden from some people, some people have spirit of stupor. Theirs four kinds of ground. The sowers expectations is what falls on good ground. It's not the character of the seed, but the condition of the ground. Different reasons, the cares of this world, or, pursuit of wealth and chasing dreams and pleasures of this life. Their void of the holy spirit. Its needed for guidance and understanding. Other factors, selfishness and pride. Romans chapter 11 declares that Israel didn't obtain what it sought, but the election hath obtained it, and rest were blinded. Some people have spirit of slumber. God's election have holy spirit. The election earned it from the first earth age. Revelation chapter 12, satan deceived one third of God's children in first earth age. Jeremiah chapter 4, satan led a rebellion against God, one third of God's children followed satan. Everyone must be born one time in the flesh, to be tested. They can follow satan or Jesus. God will not force anyone to love Him. It's a personal choice. If you lack faith, try praying for it, and repentance. Only God can open and close eyes, speaking spirtualty.
