Dude they could have had a blaster fight for the customers like old lazer tag
lightsaber battle tactics class with saber training
sabbacc would have been a option
virtual tours of the sarlacc pit and jaba palace
virtual trips to some of the famous places like the jedi temple on yavin4
virtual of the deathstar and a chance to pull the trigger and blow up alderan.
      interactive starfighter battles
train with a jedi or sith
the trip could be a lightside or darkside themed.
they have all the tech already and commonly use. Dude there is so much that they could do with this and they fuck it up. Dude just the suggestions I have made would be worth the $6000 tag.

They did a whole show for media day when Galaxy's Edge opened in Florida. Attractions Magazine RUclips has a whole video of it. It is very similar to the types of shows they are now doing on the Start Cruiser but obviously the storyline is a little different. look for their video called 'Star Wars Lightsaber Battle and Stunt Show in Galaxy's Edge during media event'

Regarding the droids, could you imagine if you were walking around the park and then all of a sudden a transport vehicle rolls up, then a few Jawas step out with a bunch of droids and start approaching guests as if they are trying to sell their wares. Have part of the truck open up and reveal shelves of souvenir droids that you could actually buy. Now THAT would be a real Star Wars experience.

He talked to us for a min before the ghost busters showed up with the car and everything. Beetlejuice ran into one of the buildings and there was a big show of him getting 'busted'. I remember my stepmom took me to Universal Halloween Horror Nights. First time I've been there. I was finally a teen so it was a big deal for me at the time. I didn't know what to expect.
I was blown away by the mazes. It was so cool to see the dancers at the entrance with fire blowing behind them. Speakers in the bushes made it sound like monsters. The costumes were so cool. They even had Terminators T-600s because it was around the time of Salvation.
We got on the tram and it was such an experience to get dropped off and see all the sets firsthand. They were doing a zombie outbreak and had people dressed as Natty Guard. Actors were moving us along. One guy was leaning over, looking dazed at the destruction of War of the Worlds. They had helicopters flying over and shining lights down below.
It was an experience I will cherish forever. I will never forget the fun I had and how my expectations were blown away.
I later went to Knott's Scary Farm. That was dreadful. Hour long lines for short mazes, terrible decorations, and no monsters or theming. Never again.

    • @BungieStudios

Relating to my comment above, I think Universal has dipped in quality. Some of their attractions need maintenance. They've gotten rid of a handful of my favorite attractions and replaced them with arguably lesser. The Horror Nights have become more simplified too.
Still, it beats everything else in SoCal. Universal does recognizably try to put out quality, even when they get lazy or follow a stricter budget, you can still see it.
Sheesh, I still have dreams of going there with family and seeing T2-3D again, as if they brought it back with new form. So it's definitely a sentimental place for me.

I really don't understand why disney doesn't have a droid zoo. It should probably be named something like a droid showroom for newest models in the galaxy but the idea would be a zoo. Small "habitats" where droids do their jobs and the visitors can have small interactions with some of them (like responding to waving hands with peep-poop noices). It wouldn't be that complicated, disneyhave way more complicated animatronics and interactive elements elsewhere, and could even advertise droid building.

And they bought off the media once the fans started calling them out and now it's crumbled too much and the damn is about to break in their face. And I hope it does. Diagon alley is hands down done better than Galaxy's edge. It's not like Disney can't do it. Pandora is done pretty good. Disney needs to stop being cheap if they keep charging these crazy prices. I'm going to hate to see what happens to Disney when Universal opens Epic Universe. If Universal can keep the new park up to the quality as the Harry Potter areas, Disney could easily become #2.

Yes and in all honesty they should be number two with how they treat their customers and the items and quality of their experiences.
You don’t pay extra to experience any of the rides or lands at Universal. It is your choice to buy interactive wands (prices are not even that bad) or express pass. We stopped going to Disney a few years ago and stay at Portofino Bay in Universal, there are less expensive resorts but we really like this one which is why we go back time after time. We get express pass included, a ride from the airport, water taxis so we never need a car, several restaurants at the resort and if we want to use any of the other resorts pools (like the lazy River) we are provided transportation there. We purchase 4 day park to park tickets, stay 7 nights at the resort, eat in the parks also eat or drink somewhere each day in Citywalk, buy items and still never spend anywhere near $6000., we stay in one of the more expensive rooms overlooking the bay, we do this because it is so pretty. We have even also done a 7 day cruise on Royal Caribbean the week before or after our park stay, we stay in a balcony room on the ship do excursions at every port and eat in some of the specialty restaurants on board and that’s two weeks worth of vacation and it still was not $6000. Why would even a die hard fan part with this kind of money for a day and half poor excuse for a dinner show? I can’t imagine this is going to be a hit for Disney. They might as well tell their customers bend over.

Well, Universal is making a BIG mistake by not capitalizing on its momentum. There's still no Hogwarts theme hotel, no Ministry of Magic land by Diagon Alley. They could have done an immersive experience hotel like Disney's SCH: just make 4 wings and each can be in the colors of the 4 factions of Hogwarts. There's no need to pay a "boutique designer" $99 an hour to flap his/her gums. Just go online and find fan suggestions for hotel rooms. Hell, RUclips has plenty of source material for that. Then just charge $99 a night for kids and $109 a night for adults. The staff can dress as teachers at Hogwarts and for a slight $5 upcharge, you can make your voice-ID room lock read your voice. Why? Just wave your wand and say "Alohomora!" and your door unlocks. Then point at a sensor in the wall and say "Lumos!" and the lights come on. Come on Universal, it's not that hard... You're blowing your ONLY chance to really bury the Mouse alive.

What Harry Potter did was help Universal beat Six Flags and SeaWorld as WDW's unofficial fifth gate. Nintendo will more than likely have the same effect. It kind of just clicked with me but... Is Disney trying to make the hotel experience canon as well? How was Rey supposed to have been involved in this hotel? They are trying so hard to tie everything into the canon, but like Episode 7-8 were back to back, she then went on like a year training mission, did Episode 9 and killed Kylo. There is no time for her to fight Kylo.

All this money just for Disney to fail again. Starcruiser could have been an experience. If I were to build a Star Wars experience, it would include the Jedi/Sith temple where you stay in the Temple (hotel). Don't wanna be a Jedi or a Sith? How about a clone or stormtroopers boot camp experience? You go through a fun boot camp experience to become an honorary trooper you get a free Blaster and helmet with uniform. Hell let's put in a Racer pod experience, Bounty Hunter where you roleplay a Bounty hunter and you meet your contact in Mos Elsley to get your assignment. How about spending time with Ewoks? So much innovation for an immersive experience and Disney can't be bothered to do that right.

This has to be the biggest kick to the groin Disney received in a long time, and well deserved one. Disney as become the EA of films and theme parks, delivering mediocre experiences meanwhile paywalling the actual deal only for “whales” to consume.
Not only does this speaks out terrible against Disney (which let’s face it, the only reason why the shills are rebelling is because Chapek is charge, and they hate the guy) but it speaks volumes on how terribly the have mishandled Star Wars, and all of that still falls under Kennedy’s shoulders, and considering her track record, she more than earn it. So might be the beginning of the end, might be not. All I know is that Disney Star Wars is bleeding and they earn it.

Not salty enough if you ask me. Disney destroyed star wars as far as I am concerned. The total bs with Gina carano was bad enough and total double standards applied when others have said far worse than her but because they were poc they couldn't or wouldn't sack them. I won't say what I think about Kathleen Kennedy because my father taught me if you can't say anything good about someone then don't say anything at all. I know my not going to anything Disney even though it was a goal of mine since I was 5 to visit Disneyland isn't going to upset them but at least unless Disney change their ways I personally won't be adding anything to their coffers anytime soon.
Getting back to bore cruiser hotel I hope it sinks like a stone. Totally overpriced and only there for rich people so not for normal folk anyway.

I was young cute long tanned legs with short shorts and it kept following me and getting in my way and making noises, everyone got a big kick out of it. There wasn’t anyone right with it so whoever was controlling it was probably close by. This proves that they had the technology years ago and have even used it in the parks. I am really not sure what audience they were going for with this experience, it is certainly was not people with 6 grand they could blow on this nonsense. We are looking at $500 a night Disney rooms, with say about $150 per day for food and 1 $120 park ticket with lighting pass access. So the actual value someone is getting is around $1000 and I don't see where the extra $1000+ per person value is coming from.

Re people hurting themselves on droids: By the reasoning that being small makes them a tripping hazard, the same is even more true of kids, and Disney allows them! I know I've almost tripped in malls because of the little creeps running around. Also, they could have made the droids too tall to trip over.

Why would a company want to invite someone to a private media event if they know that person will not positively promote them? It is a business, which also explains why not everything came to life in Galaxy’s Edge. For as much as many people complain about all of this, the parks are packed full, restaurants and shops are full, rides are constantly busy. Why wouldn’t Disney, as a business wanting to make money, spend more on technology & staff when they are already making money. And as expensive as the starcruiser is, they are filling rooms at that high price. There is no reason for Disney to change anything until they are loosing money. They are a BUSINESS first and if you don’t like what they do then vote with your wallet.
