    Frank, well thought out workspace. I have built a workshop almost identical in size (long and narrow) due to space constraints. I have similar challenge with sliding mitre saw rear clearance and have mounted it on a 3/4 inch ply sheet (the depth of my workbench) which I slide out when in use and secure with a couple of star knobs into the workbench so the cantilever doesn’t topple it over.

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  3 года назад

      Hi Steve 😃. Sorry for the delay with my reply (it didn't notify me on my phone ☹). That sounds like a good solution to my miter saw problem. I am still balancing it on the edge of my workbench at the moment.... a health and safety disaster waiting to happen I'm sure). I'm hoping to get a new table saw soon, so I imagine the whole bench will need a redesign so I may include your idea in to my build👍. thanks again for watching Steve. stay safe mate 😁👍

    Jumped over and found your tour video since you commented on mine. 😎 You have an extremely efficient setup with so many smart ideas and solutions in your relatively small shop! Hands-down the hidden bookshelf door was amazing! I literally said "no way!!" when you pushed and walked through it. LOVE IT!!! I look forward to seeing your other videos on your channel! Thanks for commenting and allowing me to find you Frank!

      Thanks Sandy 😁. I have to keep it organized, it's so small that if I don't put things away I end up falling over them... which is never a good idea when there are power tools involved 🤣😂. Thanks for watching Sandy 😁👍🇬🇧

    There's some pretty clever stuff in there Frank, very well thought out. I'm forever chopping and changing, trying things and was looking for some inspiration. I like the idea of just using a cheap router table and sinking it into the saw bench. When I built my table saw I'd always planned on adding a router part to it, but hasn't eventuated. I'm still clamping it to a vice with a table on top.
    I'm not too sure about the sliding doors, I think that would annoy me. I'd put two smaller opening doors instead. But, whatever works for you!
    Thanks for sharing.

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  4 года назад

      Thanks Peter 😁. The cheap router table as an insert has worked well so far 👍. But I now have a new router (a Triton), when that is mounted in a table it has an adjuster that you can access from above. This means I will need to start drilling holes.... or I may just get a posh insert 😁. Thanks for watching Peter 😁👍

    G’day Frank, you’ve set your workshop up really well mate & it reminds me of a Dutch fella I used to watch Rob Appelman channel but he unfortunately doesn’t have a channel anymore, the table saw has a cast iron top, wow not that common on one that size.
    Great tour 🍻🍻👍👍👍

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  4 года назад

      Thanks Dirk 😁. It's such a shame when chanells disappear 🙁. But we all know how committed you need to be to maintain a youtube channel. The tablesaw is an Axminster (yes with a cast top) 😁. But it's getting a bit under powered for some of my projects... so I want to get a 254mm Trade version.... but it's so expensive 🙁. I'll have to wait. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍🇬🇧

      Hi Jigsey😁. It's a fun trip and so much you can do. I've just successfully carved in to some slate to make a house number... but it did result in a blown fuse in my cheap China power supply 🙁. But I soon fixed that 😁. Sláinte mhaith mate and thanks for watching 😁👍
