I went the old Granada Studio's, twice, back in the early to mid 90's when I was a young kid, with my grandma & one of her friends. I remember using the phonebox outside the hairdressers, as it was an actual working phonebox, & phoned my mum back at home just to tell her I was phoning her from Coronation Street 🤣
I wonder if the designers actually bother to go and do reccys of the areas that Coronation St/ Weatherfield is supposed to be based on? Because these sets look awful. Only the terrace, it seems was ever based on anything real. ITV spend all that money on Corrie and just get rubbish in return. EastEnders on the other hand, the attention to detail and realism of the sets is on point. For Corrie, though, EEs design makes it so much worse for them, because just shows Corrie’s sets for how naff they are.
Can put up with new set, but not the new writers. The street has lost its humour. It’s lost its older generation, the ones with real character. It’s all doom and gloom and dismal young people.much like eastenders
I don’t think today’s characters are interesting enough to warrant the set expansion. Only the veterans are still worth watching and they had their best storylines years ago. Is the show going to be renamed simply Weatherfield now.
Jack P shepherd as being on coronation Street for 20 years and he's still not sure who supposed to live over the road lol 😆 🇬🇧
Love it...seeing the tour..
David...a true Corrie icon...

Prescient is cringe.. modern Corrie cannot beat the old one street

When I was younger (a little boy then a teenager) I wish I could live on Coronation Street.

How inconsiderate of those older actors to die, how could they, disgusting isn't it ... 🤣 Eastenders is the epitome of doom and gloom, not Corrie.
New precinct....not Corrie at all...getting too far away from the Street...Ena would have hated it....
Love David platt
Why did Peter Barlow just walk past them? Rude much 😂
Oooh did he say...... rIgHt wInG🥺
One of the longest serving cast members? ... That'll be William Roache, not Jack P. Shepherd.
👍

Shepherd should have been sacked when he celebrated 43 dogs burning to death in an arson attack.
Wait what? Can you explain more please
@@ivyswifts I don't know why he was allowed to get away with it.
Jack P Shepherd is the only actor left on the show. It’s terrible now - like it’s fading away.
