Hi Ric. I ride with a group of mates, 3 of us on 1290 Super Adventures. We do some decent trips in the UK and abroad. Off to Portugal in a couple of months. When back-side panels are removed, some bolts of the tank and front fairings are left “in sight”, I can’t see them on your bike, have you cover them somehow?
Hello sorry for the late reply as I have not been on YT recently. Unfortunately I have the same visible bolts. I think they were missed off camera. Believe me I have done nothing special. I only have removed the pannels and installed the side racks from Perun Moto :)

Can you strap a 25-30l rollbag on the side rack with a passenger?
Hello. No the maximum size you can fit safely is a 5L pack. Like mine I use Kriega US5. Even the 10L are too big to correctly fit.

Hi rick how are u? I finally got my new ktm 1290 super adventure s. Class bike i love it. 1 of the extras i got on it is a quickshifter. Rick im just wondering can i still use the clutch if i want to? Shifting up and down?
Hiya Nigel! Congrats mate 🥳. Awesome. For sure you will still have to use the clutch at town speeds. The QS is really only ideal if used when riding spirited out of town on the twisties or at least not when the gearing is laboured if too low a speed. You’ll figure it out. But yeah you can still use the clutch. 🙏👍

Yea thats great advice rick because in the low speed if im useing the quickshifter i feel its a bit hard on the bike as in gearbox but yea i understand what your saying. Thanking u very much rick. Hi Anthony! Thank you for the comment. Appreciate it 🙏. As for tyres I mainly run between Pirelli STR Rally’s on stock Mitas Terra Force R.
In fact I am just taking off today a new set of pilot Road 5 after only 1500 miles. Hated them with a passion. No feel and felt so unsettling yet folks raved about them and the newer PR6s..
I’ve put brand new stock mitas on today. Yep not the best probably yet far far from the worst. They are super soft which I love and great sport tyre. Draw back is they wear and square quicker than some others. But I sacrifice sooner tyre replacement for smiles… than long lasting and less smiles..
For mixed trail/road deffo the STR again a soft tyre great on road given it’s big block pattern it rides dam well. And it’s 140mph rating blows other block treads clean out the water 👍

Hey I have to fix my antenna on my ktm 1290 adv 2019 but I believe it’s going bad but someone said if I move it n don’t put it back on right away it’s easier for thieves to steal my bike is that true because I have to order the piece but I don’t want the other one on there for the time being n damaged something else
What would I do without you to show me some new accessories 🙂

@@RicardoYeep Ordered the 1290 side plates, matches the carrier rack. I don't like regular side luggage, but small plates\ bags are fine, so these side plates work a treat.
