Great video as usual. I use the Perun Moto mini rack, and tie downs on my 790AR. All Perun items are first class in quality and design. In combination with the Gnoblin, the mini rack works really well also with the R80. 👍
Looks really nice with the new plate from Perun Tjommi 🙌🏻 As you know I got it my self on the T7 and I'm really impressed how good quality it is and how well it fits the bike. Congrats mate 🔥
I have the same bike, same rack, an R80, and a Backcountry 30. I went with the Gnoblin and it works pretty well from my test fitting. I mount my R80 on the front slots on the Perun rack and the side panels of the bike make the sides of the R80 flare out, maybe I will try a mid mount like you have. I also want to try Voile straps instead of the stock side straps since the velcro on the strap keepers on mine is starting to wear out. I mount my BC30 lengthways on the bike like you showed in the end. I use the Mosko cinch straps tied to the stock grab handles at the front, it makes a very secure connection as the bag used to flop around a lot when I tied them straight to the rack. Great setup either way!
Great input Matt! Always fun to laborate on the fittings. On the original rear rack i just had one option to fit the R80 so this is how I have it for 4 season. In this way it seems to fit similar or actually somewhat a more forward position, which is good but still give me the room i need for riding.
Thats nice to hear buddy, as i would expect! Never really thought me in to it untill now. Happy that i did! Should have had it allready on the last years trip when i combined the R80 with the BC40, had been alot better.
It looks good. From experience, I would stay away from Rok straps on a big bag and use Moskos Cinch straps or similar. They don't move around, rock solid. With a big bag on off-road I find the Rok strap allows too much wiggly and general movement. Cheers!
I agree and that is my experience as well, it works on a lightweight smaller top bag. That is why I used solid straps to the BC40 before. Just had a pair of Enduristan Rok Straps unboxed on the shelf so I tested them. Slightly different to my old pair of Rok's, which have a loop in the ends. These ones had buckles in the ends. Cheers Shayne 🍺
Thanks! Much appreciated. I pretty much did a video on that when I changed rear broke pass, I also took the chance to video the toolroll. If I wood go on a "real" long trip i would look over it though.
I have cut off the excess length of the straps after this video, I immediately saw the risk. Butvthat was a good move any way, now even faster to mount on the bike. Happy Trails! 🙌
Haha, Mr. Mustardo in the Woods 😂👌. Really love all the gear from Mosko and the details in it. Both Mosko and Perun is guys within the community. Thats a value in it's self. Thanks for joining in Bill 👍
This Mosko Moto rackless system doesnt scratch the side panels on the bike? I would recommend you to use a vibration dampener for the Quad Lock mount actually I had the same set up as you and with vibrations I broke the iphone camera stabilizer so ended up by adding the dampener also from Quad Lock (they say in off road bikes it happens a lot). Anyway congrats for the great video
Thanks for the heads up and comment. I have had the quadlock for at least 3 years with 2 different Samsungs and no broblems so far. The Reckless 80 scratch the side panels slightly, but not more than I can polish. Easy to take off the panels though.
Goodmorning! It is the Mosko Moto Basilisk pants. These are without impact protections, so I use. Separate knee protectors. Right in thus moment Mosko have released these pants with impact protection i preferred. I really like these pants, they stand any weather.
Great set up Mattias...it's nice to have plenty of room for stuff, even if you don't use it...or you can just be more relaxed about packing! Cheers Steve ps i hope you do another solo trip sometime, with a few history stops on the way. I re watched one of your trips and it was superb 👌 Cheers Steve
Thanks Steve! This years longer solo trip had to be with the van, since my dog had to go with me. It was magic though and I will do something with it. Typically only grouprides this year except from somecday trips. Happy trails Steve!

Awesome, Thomas has the Gnoblin as well. I was like thinking i don't need it before, butvhave changed my mind 👀😂.

The ADV community knows their stuff! The personal contact with the manufacturer makes it even more great 👌 💪🤠🔥

It's nice that your license plate is "sWAG" 😁
Hahaha, something like that 😂🙌

Good vid Mattias. Like top bag and rack is great. Need one for Tenere. and BMW R9t See you
Ahhh, an R9t! That must be a fun bike. Is it the scrambler model?
very nice system
Thanks, I agree and are really happy with the set up.
I really enjoy all your videos, thanks.... Question have you done or can you do a video on the tools you carry for long trips?
Thanks! Much appreciated. I pretty much did a video on that when I changed rear broke pass, I also took the chance to video the toolroll. If I wood go on a "real" long trip i would look over it though.
Nice review! Love Perón and Mosko Moto products too
Thanks! I can't say enough about how great this gear is. Top to my preferences and needs at least.
Even the velcro retainer on straps is dangerous, i was winding once those straps around rear sprocket!! Was lucky I realised soon..

Well made review Mattias…just Luv the Mosko kit & Clothing… bit expensive but last and lasts 👍🏴🏍

Hehe, something like that and rather cool. But i thought that Perun is like Thor, a God of thunder.
Nice 👍
