You probably don’t realise this, but you have managed to actually allow me to produce art work that I both enjoy painting but that genuinely makes me proud! Sadly, I have zero artistic talent, but you made me realise that ANYONE can draw and paint if they have the right teacher, faith in themselves, and are willing to practice….
Thank you so much, Paul, for giving me the opportunity to understand that art is for all, not just the talented few x
Those of us with creative talent have to practice practice practice too. All the innate talent in the world doesn't get you bupkis if you don't practice. You're a winner! 👍🙂 I personally think we're all born with creative talent. You just have to tap in to it.
You're so good at adding those mid values that really support the rest. Lights and darks...easy. Good supporting values...not so easy.
I did it and I LOVE it! That doesn't happen all the time you know! Thank you for stretching me!
Thank you so much Paul! I actually had tears in my eyes when I opened my app and saw your video. You have no idea the impact your tutorials have on people, especially this time of the year. 🎄
Totally agree 👍 💯
@@getsomecolourinyourlifedav2478 thank you! I work at the post office so it’s our busiest time! 😵💫🥺😜

Paul, I'm a watercolor artist in north Idaho for years. That said, your demo of cabin in the snow is an absolute inspiration. I couldn't wait to try some of your techniques and put them on display in the gallery for all to see. Swish, swish... and, thank you!

Thanks a lot, in the Alps, also we have cabins and snow, and it's delightful to have your lesson just now,
Love the Alps - spent many skiing holidays there 👍
Wow…such a great tutorial. I will definitely paint it. Thanks for this wonderful tutorial.
You’re welcome 😊
I’ve purchased all the paint and paper to do this with my 8th Grade watercolor students as our final painting of the semester. It will be gift for their parents. Yes, they can do this, as we’ve painting 2.5 hours a week. I’m praying it will go well. The kids love splattering paint, doing wet into wet, and, accomplishing something that looks real. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thank you Paul, this is lovely.
A lovely spell of colours in the snow. . Awesome Paul
Thanks Seema!
Wonderful. I'm ready now for winter. Making a hot cider toddy. Cheers.
Wow, it's another fantastic painting, Paul! It's your attention to those small details that adds up to make a great composition and by allowing the watercolor to do it's magic with a little help from your brush. Things as simple as the cement work under your cabin and around your stone bridge to the soft appearance of the trees in the background that really pull this painting together. You should consider making a living painting with watercolors, Paul. (lol) Giving myself a pat on the back for having the good sense to subscribe to your channel when you first showed up on YT. We're so very lucky to have you here!
Beautiful. I so want to live in that cabin 👍🏻😘
I loved the purples and blues alternated with Payne's grey to provide a neutral color. It turned out beautifully.
Juste sublime j'adore toutes vos aquarelles quel technique parfaite 👍
Best painting ever!!!
So beautiful! Learning so much! Thank you for sharing your talents.
You are so welcome!
Just lovely. I hope to be in a cute cabin such as this in the near future! Thank you again for your expertise, and excellent teachings.

Greetings from warm Fuerteventura 🏖🥂😎🍒
Thank you! I am going to paint our cabin in Nova Scotia. I have never seen it in snow, but will give it snow in my painting.

My hubby's face, he's not an artist but lets me use his equipment. Haven't painted many landscapes or buildings but you make it look so easy going for it. Thanks Paul,

So pretty - would make a lovely Christmas card.
Excellent explanations 😊Thank you 🖼🎨🕊
Paul, I love the silliness of your videos that balance out the tutorial and instructions and make them more fun and enjoyable to watch. :)
Fantastic ! I just finished trying the lavender field painting of yours. Thank you so much. These videos means a lot to me . God bless you for sharing your knowledge.
My pleasure!
Absolutely beautiful!!
You are such a great painter and a very generous person sharing you talent and technique with us. I just started a new job which doesn't allow for much creativity. Your videos provide a desperately needed fix to feed my creative side which I so miss being able to execute as often as I have been able to before. You bring me joy. Thank you Mr. Paul. Looking forward to you hitting 100K soon!!
Happy to help Betty 👍
Awesome. You are the best teacher on RUclips. Thank you so very much for your sharing your talent and knowledge. Have a Merry Christmas ! God Bless.
Thank you! You too Cathy!!

You are so welcome!
Thanks, a great picture, absolutely well explained. Joanne
You are very welcome
Gorgeous pic Paul! Especially the background trees. That fireplace behind you would also make a great painting! 😉
Great idea Micky!
@@ArtbyPaulClark yeah, would be good to see flames painted. And lighting effects on surrounding bricks etc..
I am always amazed by your paintings. Loose, but not sloppy at all, just the right amount... I can't seem to get the hold of your techniques! Maybe someday? Thank you so much to take the time to teach us, and to share the drawings... Wonderful painting! Cheers!
Thank you so much 😀 - just keep practicing Lise!
Classic. Thanks a lot for the wonderful demo, once again And off course for some useful tips also .
Thanks again!
So therapeutic even to watch it
Two things were the highlights for me... The sun making an appearance, felt so warm...And the white gouache splats in the end, took the painting to a whole new level👏
Thanks for sharing!!
I echo what others have already said in that I so enjoy your style of teaching. Your keeping us up to speed on color/brush choice as you go along makes it less nebulous as to how you derived the whats and whys of the things you are doing. For me, that is important. Your slightly sideways humor is not lost either and will undoubtedly get a grin out of me. I'll even say that your choice of background music is very pleasant as well and always seems to fit so nicely with the subject matter you a painting/displaying. I watch many "instruction" You Tubers and have learned a great deal from them as well, but your style is top notch in my book. Thank you so much! Best wishes for the New Year!
Thanks so much Michael and a happy new year to you too 😁
This is a great lesson🌲 Thank you so much🎁
Beautiful artwork. Such a pleasure to watch

Thank you! 😃
Thank you, Paul! All your winter snowy scenes are the BEST!
Just wonderful!!
Bravo Paul, I'm finally inspired to paint again after months in the doldrums. A beautiful scene fit for a Christmas card (mine!) Many thanks.
Just beautiful ❤
I was so inspired by this video that I have asked for these materials for Christmas! I usually work in pastels but want to try watercolour after watching this. Merry Christmas. Xx
Go for it Shirley - hope you enjoy it!!
I love W&N paper. It takes a beating, lifts beautifully (which is a huge requirement for me), and my paintings just plain look better. One trick I learned to make more realistic random branches...use your non-dominant hand to paint them. It works great.
What a great idea! My branches are never randomly wiggly enough. I’m going to try my left hand! Thanks!💁🏼♀️
Great tip JM - thanks for sharing!
Lovely tip! It does work better looking branches!
well, this is just gorgeous... Love all your work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Fabulous! So enjoy your tutorials Paul...beautiful scenes and inspirational videos...what more can I say? 😊👍
you are awesome and I do love your paintings, Enjoy this very much
Thanks Blaire!
Love this painting so much ❄️
