I think the ending scene for the song was a depiction of the sun, even though he was aging through the video when it all came to an end, he was still that little kid inside trying to help his dad because he never truly got to do the fatherly things he would’ve wanted to do because he was worried about his son playing pool and not trying out for the football team fishing with his dad. Also, in the video, you notice that the son is aging throughout the song but the father is staying the same age. Which I think is a reference to the boys sees his father. a man, he looked up to as a kid teaching him how to play pool and spend time with his father never grew up stayed the same man.
The story behind the song goes that his father told him about how his grandfather bet on him in pool when he was younger. The story is so relatable, even if you don’t play pool about relationships with fathers. The ending will make you tear up when he’s walking out with his little boy. Great analysis thank you.

The ending, the dad may be living out the life of what he wants for his son all in one night. You noticed he doesn’t change clothes throughout the whole song, but the son changes age but it’s always the same ending him, losing and getting his ass beat. I’m not 100% sure but that’s just my take.
