I do 11 on 13 off myside with viraspectra 350 it has 4 ir LEDs. I have done 2 crops same strains and side on with viraspectra 350 does finish 10 to 14 faster than 400hps side. I added some flood lights to room and bud size increased.i am just curious how red flood lights would do.they aren't ir leds tho,just the color red.300 marshydro doesn't have any ir leds and it does ok.i think I will take out the 1400 lumens daylight blue color and put red flood lights lumens I couldn't find.i can only use hps in winter so iam gonna get a viparspectra r300 it has 4 ir leds in it and redish color .
Heey! Is there any other effect as the strech of the length, if i use red light and far red light together? The effect of faster sleepmode just comes up, when there is an excess of far red light. As far as i understood that. So i dont want streched plants, cause of height limitations, i want faster growth and better quality. Does far red light just strech or does it speed up the vegetal period at all (leaf production)? And does it has a positiv impact on the plants when i use it at daytime together with red light? If there is no positive impact over daytime, i would just use it to help the plants getting faster sleep.

My LED's have veg and bloom switches. I've heard different things from different people. Seeing as you're way more knowledgeable than most when it comes to color spectrums I figured I'd ask you. Should I A-start off with the veg switch then move to bloom during flowering /B-start off with veg, move to bloom during transition, then turn on both for flowering /C-have both switched on the whole time or/ D-use the veg switch during veg and both during flowering. What are your opinions on this matter?
I believe he means that flowering time will be decreased by 2 weeks once you flip and add the far red lights to your grow. I added far red lights to both time schedules. The middle 6 hours I have UV lights on an the last 2 hours I have far red lights on. Everything is controlled by my home assistant wall plugs.
Hey Farmer Tyler, great work - Have you ever taken a reading of the spectrum emitted by an hps lamp when switched off? You know the glowing energy still being emitted when shutting down. Curious how much Far Red vs Infrared is being emitted?
It's the same spectrum the bulb has when it's on, just dimmer. What you're seeing is the emission spectra of sodium, mercury and xenon inside the arc tube.
His Explination is Completely opposite of Red Blue Growth Response. Refer to Dr. Bruce Bugbee for a real explanation.
