We will miss you Steve. You were a huge part of my childhood. This movie. Hot Wheels world race and Shrek and all-star. Your voice brought me so much joy.... Rest easy king.
Rest in peace Steve. I had no idea he lived right down the road from me in Boise. I've been listening to SM most of my life ❤ He passed away this morning. He will be missed
It's weird, I totally get the feeling of a "brighter" feeling from the early 2000s even though we had just been attacked by terrorists in a dramatic and awful way. I remember the same feeling, but I also remember the growing dread war and recession at the same time. Such a strange contrast. Must have been kinda like how kids in the 60s felt pre-draft.
Rest in peace Steve!!! Thank you for being apart of my childhood. Listening to all of smash mouth with the windows down definitely gets the neighborhood buzzin =)
guess what friend you are in luck smash mouth never broke up i dont live in america so i miss out but guess what some lucky ducks actually get to see them do a tour with those other grand bastions of rocken roll you might of heard of them just a little band called SUGAR RAY who changed my life dont know about yours i am saving my money to get to america to see it because they do it every year i think i would just about die i remember once my dad said to turn that sugar ray noise off or he would leave forever i thought it was an empty thret but here we are 13 years on and still no dad i still listen to sugar ray a lot tho i cant help it so catchy sometimes i put on a sugar ray cd and close my eyes and prete nd i am at the big concert event and then i do it again with smash mouth because they are the headline act
Thank you Smash Mouth, for being our musical transition from the 90s to the 00s. Not the one we needed, and not necessarily the one we wanted. But the one we got.
@@lmatt88 Not really. We are still in 80s nostalgia. There even hasn't been a true 90s nostalgia crave in mainstream movies and songs yet compared to Stranger's Things (1980s).
And to think that the concept of that Snow Day film was originally going to be a full-length movie of an existing Nickelodeon show known as The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Meaning, the winter setting revolving around that show in movie form. Would’ve been a good one too.
Esta canción se dio a conocer en el 2002. Es increíble que, a pesar de la muerte de su hijo, lo haya sabido superar, dándonos este temazo. ¡Grande Steven Harwell!
it's never ages a day is it omg i feel the same way its classic rock but contemporary somehow its because smashmouth use real intruments not like these fake auto tune singers and rappers who a lot of the time are just talki ng and not even singing like steve do they even care lol probably not they just care about smash mouth they are in it for the love of music and to push the art further and even though they won a million and they drive a brand new benz they use that to encourage the listener it's like you can do it too i really am an all star i listen to that every morning to get inspirational for the day ahead because those sales targets won't meet themselves i get sad thinking about my dad sometimes tho because he announsed he was leaving halfway through astro lounge but it's their best album so i still put it on most day
Ah, I remember the days when I was in 6th grade when the music video for this song and trailers for the movie Clockstoppers were advertised all the time on Nickelodeon.
i kno right how does steve still look so good he never ages a day and his voice is that same dulcet toned clarion call of harmony and destiny that it was in 1998 u could say that he is really an "all-star" but that would be demening to the rest of the group who are all vary talented musicians in there own right love em rock out everyday classic!!!1
If only we could use that watch to freeze time. That way, we’d still have Steve Harwell. RIP Steve Your were a key part of my adolescence through junior high.
Yes I was twelve years old when Clock stoppers was released in the cinemas. The early 2000's had some pretty cool music in many different genres, and I have lots of good memories from this period of time.
Yeah, Clockstoppers is a fun early 2000s era film that's definitely fun to look back on. I turned 11 the summer after it came out and remember that time period fondly. Insane to think it's 21 now as of March. * God rest Steve Harwell and thanks for just another iconic bop you and Smash Mouth gave us.
Just watched Clockstoppers on HBO Max. Before then, I probably hadn’t seen it in 6 years. Before then, it was in theaters. Such great times and feelings. Great song and incredible video!
I learned recently that Steve Harwell has retired after his last performance with Smash Mouth. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised that I found this out in the news by accident considering that we never hear about anything from Smash Mouth anymore (let alone any of their new songs).
God I love these guys STILL...never heard this one before....but definately me...lol...ASTROLOUNGE is my backdrop soundtrack again in life...music and lyrics and just fun and upbeat!!!
I remember being in 8th grade, coming home from school turning on MTV and this being on, then I would strap on my roller blades and hall ass to my friends for some street hockey, with this song blasting in my head the whole time hahaha good times man!
It got decent airplay when the movie came out but was quickly replace by all the Nu- Metal bands that were flooding the airways back then. Takes me back to 2002
R.I.P. Steve Harwell! ❤️🔥 "I'm just trying to realize! I'm just dying to open my eyes! I'm just looking for paradise in my living room!" I always wondered how much damage was caused to the front end from that jump... 😲
Rest in peace Steve! Thank you and the rest of Smash Mouth for making my childhood amazing with awesome songs!
Their music took a definite dive after Kevin Coleman left the band. Michael Urbano was bad news.
rip steve harwell, ty for bringing us dad bands with bangers & for this underrated track when movies were fun(clockstoppers, 2002)
Rest in peace Steve. Your music will live on forever ❤
RIP Steve, It was fun listening to your music and fun growing up with your nephew
We will miss you Steve. You were a huge part of my childhood. This movie. Hot Wheels world race and Shrek and all-star. Your voice brought me so much joy.... Rest easy king.
Rip Steve 🙏🏼 and thank you Smash Mouth for the awesome movie soundtrack songs that made my childhood
I forgot how many dope songs Smash Mouth made. They always get boxed in with All Star. Great song, no doubt. But not their only great song.
Rest in peace Steve. I had no idea he lived right down the road from me in Boise. I've been listening to SM most of my life ❤ He passed away this morning. He will be missed
Thank you very much, Steve Hartnell, for being a pinnacle part of Shrek's cinematic legacy with your music.
Ironically, despite it being associated with Shrek so much, it was originally the lead single for Mystery Men, which came out two years earlier.
👍
It’s also in Madagascar
Everything was brighter in the early 2000's. Just something about that time.
we didn't have tumblr feminists back then hehe
Undeniably there is a negative correlation between tumblr feminists and the population's happiness.
@Tong Zou wow didnt expect someone else to be around from may of 2020
I grew up with Cartoon Network and games back then.
RIP Smash Mouth
You will be missed and your music will continue to live on.
Clockstoppers is an underrated movie. It's like a time capsule of the early 2000s.
There is a movie? wtf why didn't I know? BRB in two hours, thank you.
I watched it, it was extremely underrated, it was absolutely worth it, thank you!
We used to get drunk and always run around yelling “clock stoppers” hahaha
Just like this song. Unknown

My childhood: SNOW DAY, SHREK 1, BIG FAT LIAR, MAX KEEBLE & CLOCKSTOPPERS. So much Nostalgia.
And to think that the concept of that Snow Day film was originally going to be a full-length movie of an existing Nickelodeon show known as The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Meaning, the winter setting revolving around that show in movie form. Would’ve been a good one too.
Is smash mouth in all those movies?
Rest in Peace Steve Harwell 😢
This song is my guilty pleasure
My favorite Nickelodeon theatrical movie with my favorite Smash Mouth song.
We will remember Steve Harwell as our childhood in the 2000s!
Esta canción se dio a conocer en el 2002. Es increíble que, a pesar de la muerte de su hijo, lo haya sabido superar, dándonos este temazo. ¡Grande Steven Harwell!
It really is- because kids can open our hearts ❤️, eyes and help renew our hope in a better future

Clockstoppers was such an underrated film. But, this song was the best in the soundtrack.
R.I.P. Steve
One of my favorite songs as a kid.
Just shocked he’s gone now :(
One of my favorite songs as an adult
Only true 2000s kids would know what's going on.
In that case, please explain everything to me.
Do I not count as a true 2000s kid? I was born in 2001 and I never saw this movie until last September
@@evanthecinemaguy9902 Yes, you do count as a 2000s kid.
March 1994 right here man
True i am born in 2002 and i see when i have 4 or 5 good movie but i like maybe more movie time machine from same year :D
Yes I was twelve years old when Clock stoppers was released in the cinemas. The early 2000's had some pretty cool music in many different genres, and I have lots of good memories from this period of time.
I love this band and most of their songs. Very clever lyrics, fun catchy tunes. So fun to sing along.
Yeah, Clockstoppers is a fun early 2000s era film that's definitely fun to look back on. I turned 11 the summer after it came out and remember that time period fondly. Insane to think it's 21 now as of March.

Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell has sadly passed away at the age of 56.
I'm not crying, you're crying
Tempo bom, Brasil na área! VIVA SMASH MOUTH! 🇧🇷 🇧🇷
Definitely the BEST BAND of the nineties and Criminally Underrated!
I REMEMBER THIS MOVIE
Right! Nickelodeon played it a long ass time ago

What movie ???
Clockstoppers!

One of the first
Music videos I loved back then.
Smash Mouth are the GOAT'S of movie soundtracks
Steve Harwell embodied the 90s-early 00s a carefree time never to be replicated or replaced
Nickelodeon used to air this video so much back then for promotional reasons. It was can't miss in my house.
I remember seeing this on Mtv, good ol times!
I ❤️ the 2000s.
The 90s and early 2000s were really cool. I feel like after 2010 everything went Downhill
I remember being in 8th grade, coming home from school turning on MTV and this being on, then I would strap on my roller blades and hall ass to my friends for some street hockey, with this song blasting in my head the whole time hahaha good times man!

Wait, MTV actually played this?
+Michael Reed yup
Patrick Vasold ...How much did they play this video?
It got decent airplay when the movie came out but was quickly replace by all the Nu- Metal bands that were flooding the airways back then. Takes me back to 2002
Sweet video...a "feelgood" song for when you've had it with this world and want to tell it to take a long walk off a short pier...:)
