I believe 60 foot is about 1.6? give or take. I don't have a slip in front of me they are all with my Father. We are working on a 2step to add some consistency and hopefully better 60ft. Thanks for watching!
The car is built for dropping the clutch at the line. Everything from the heavy clutch to the ladder bar suspension is set up to transfer the weight to the rear tires upon the launch. The 60 foot time would increase a great deal if i just granny'd the clutch in 1st
I love it!!! Great car great sound great video. There is nothing like a high winding small block with a heavy fly wheel and four speed! It’s almost a spiritual thing to me when I hear it I get goose bumps and I want to jump up and down ! Lol My brother and I ran small blocks me Ford him Mopar. He passed away in 96 but every time I hear and see these cars he is all I can think about, he had no Mersey on that 340 Dodge lol 😂😎 thank you so much for sharing, I so miss doing this.
Used to be a 65 falcon that raced around western North Carolina, driven by a man named Doc Douglas. Lenco 4spd, NASCAR Windsor motor in it. That thing was awesome. Doc could race too. Awesome machine in this video too. Love the winding sound and the 4 speed full of clutch action. Prob need a chiropractor after a couple of runs. Lol. 64 and 65 my favorite years of a falcon. Prob my number 1 favorite car too. Love those old beasts. Great video
Robert G thank you! Need new updated videos perhaps this summer, the boss has been stroked to a 347, leaving off a 2step it 60’ 1.3s and runs low 10s at 130mph 😈 still jamming gears of course
oh no ? house are a dime a dozen ,cars like this a hard to come by . i will be homeless before i ever sell my falcon ! owned for 43 years , nobody has enough money .
Sex on wheels. I've always wanted a '64 falcon or fairlane. My plan was a 351 clevelard but a boss 302 would be equally awesome. 4-speed is the best too! This is not only a good-looking car, but a sexy combo that obviously runs pretty good. Nothing better than power-shifts at 8 grand. Well done sir.
Always Loved the sound of a Boss 302. After watching this I believe your Car has much more potential. The sound of that motor is talking to ya 😄. Awsome car!!!
gary shanks yes, this video is very out-dated. Heavier fly wheel and we stroked the engine .250 so it makes much more torque. Need to update videos car runs 10.40s now @ 128MPH
@.050 the intake is 268deg, exhaust is 276deg. Intake lift is .673 exhaust lift is .633. RPM is 8k through the lights. Rear Gear is 5.43. I don't think more rpm is the answer we are in the middle of a rebuild due to a kicked rod last year (and a couple others over the years). My father is calculating stroke/crank combos to gain more cubic inches this winter while she's apart. THanks for watching!
Sweet jesus that's an awesome ride. Great driving in a legit stick car too. Tired of all these nerds with a turbo ls/auto. This is a man's car right here, and damn good-looking to boot.
Now ditch the Holley, put a Rons Fuel Flying Toilet and belt driven fuel pump, on alcohol and drop on down in the 10s and never have to cool it down between rounds. Sounds good, maybe a little gear bound. Come on down to a 5.14 and switch to alcohol, you'll see.
Guys this video is outdated, please check out the new video with the BOSS being stroked and new digital ignition ruclips.net/video/MAGKSZKNZOg/видео.html
Joseph Folsom we stroked it to a 347, this is older footage. the added low end torque gained us about 3tenths in the 60ft, check out the comment below yours for a link to the new footage!
@@Bzimmer21 I can’t find it. My son has a 2018 f150 super crew, 4x4 3.5 eco boost with tune and cold air intake, custom exhaust, and methanol injection 12:97 et. This is with 35” all terrain tires. You car sounds amazing but I thought you would had trouble keeping the front wheels out of the air. It seemed to lug at the start
We had a c-4 in it at one point and could not get a proper converter/stall combo to leave with enough rpm to be in the power band. 60’ times suffered significantly
@@Bzimmer21 you have a great car I hope get it figured out, I got last question I know you know what you are doing but I built a 1969 model 302 4v had the heads worked big valves ported and it in 72 grabber 4speed 456 rear gears and it done what yours is doing in first, and had more cam than I had flow put a smaller cam in and would come alive then just thought I'd share that with you good luck with everything
@@jodygriffith2948 ruclips.net/video/MAGKSZKNZOg/видео.html we have since stroked the BOSS giving it significantly more torque which resulted in a best 60’ of 1.3. She runs low 10a now check it out
@@Bzimmer21 A TCI 5000 stall trans brake converter and trans would probably bring the 60ft into the 1.40 range and add consistency. Obviously your change to around a 50 lb flywheel helped with the bog. Unless you are stuck on running in a stick class just go with the TCI and start going rounds and making money.
Does this bad ass Ford eat disobedient children? Just watching the news made parts of my body jump that haven’t done so in a long time! I’ve been a Ford fanatic 4over50 years! There’s puppy has a good combination.
Ronald Hiler thanks! You would love the car now even more. This video is pretty dated, the Boss is now stroked to a 347 eliminating some of that low end lag, we’ve also slimmed to a 9in tire and run the ignition through an msd 6al2 that has a 2step and rev limiter. Car 60fts a 1.3 and ETs 10.20s 😈 looking to do some 10.90 index heads up racing this year
Trev0r98 good comment bud. Feel better about yourself? Try building something yourself and see if your happy with the "noise and fuss" it produces even though it's "only an 11.83."
Damn that sounds bad ass! I used to have a Boss 351C, dropped into a 1968 Fairlane 500 Fastback. That thing would scream. Old school Ford's F'Yeah!
One hell of a car, a work of art.
I love 64 falcons and I love the sound of a boss 302! Great car man!!
