He raised his ex-baby mama's kids, when she got back on drugs. He raised the child of someone else who was gonna lose their child to foster care. This man is legendary. Look up the story about Em taking Hallie's class to Disneyland, and how much the parents were terrified. By the end of it, they said he was the most respectable, nice man on the face of the Earth. Congrats Em, and Congrats to you, Shaq, always being a real one. Just like Em, you always pay tribute to what built you. Good things had to come for you!

Eminem and Dre both so real and both so humble, that's why they are so successful, because they can stay true to themselves which means they can stay true to others, great team, awesome speech, all about Love and Family...
Em, for me, has been such a profound story because of what Dre said at the very beginning,,,,bias in music based on race and breaking down another useless wall....he just vibed to the music and that was all that was important....Em has always been true to himself....sometimes bad, sometimes incredible, but it has always been him. This is so rare to see in our day to day lives let alone from a celeb of his caliber...especially when he was new in the TRL days, before social media, showing all parts of himself in a way many will never be comfortable enough to do. Over 20 years later and he is still breaking down walls with Dre (look no further than the Superbowl halftime) and I believe will one day be in history books for their impact on changing hip hop (and all music) stereotypes. Much deserved to say the least, and I appreciate you for recognizing greatness non matter what walk of life. You the man, Shaq!

I remember hearing it for the first time and was like “he sounds and raps like no one I have ever heard before”. Little did I know that was just the beginning of a long journey. The first song I heard by Eminem was "We made you" because my old sister was watching his video on MTV. I remember I had that song stuck in my head for a while. I was a kid and I was shocked by the hilarious video but in a good way then I watched "8 miles" and by the end of the movie I knew he'll be someone to admire. I grew up listening to his music and now, I can say he was not just rapping, he told us about his life and all the things he went through. Not all people can handle the difficult times, life is tough and music was/still is the way he found an escape. And that's to admire: The encouragement, don't give up even when life is hell itself -you know- there's a lot of things you can learn by a person. He deserved it. Eminem The GOAT!!

I’m 30 years old and have grown up with this man. He has been MY biggest inspiration since I was 9, and I’m not kidding. I made an account after seeing this video PURELY to come here and say this. Thank you so damn much for highlighting the BRILLIANCE of this man. He is a damn genius and we’re all better for knowing him. If anyone ever says anything to me about Shady now that’s (pun intended) shady, I will simply just say “rock and roll half of fame”, because that’s all I have to say. And he gets up, and tells everyone to make sure they induct more of his icons in the future? Pure class, character and humility. When I heard Eminem say Cypress Hill, I was ecstatic like crazy.
I grew up in the same block as Sen Dog in South Gate.
Granted this was in the 90s, so this was after Sen Dog had hit it big and moved out but his family was still there and everyone in the street including the homeboys would tell his family how much they loved Cypress Hill.
I know a lot of rappers respected Cypress Hill but hardly any rapper ever said they were an influence on them despite how long they've been in the game so Eminem saying it made me so happy.

I’ve been a fan of Eminem since high school and attended his show in Abu Dhabi in 2019. He proved that he’s the 🐐. I’m glad being a fan of him and so happy for him and the people around him and it’s always amazing how Eminem respects / pays tributes to the great rappers who came before him. I was 14 when I first listened to my name is and it changed my view on hip hop all together. I’m 37 now and am proud and blessed to be around to have seen this. You did it Marshall.
