@@nikolepsysyndrome7538 The major difference you should know is that SMB3/SMW Cartoon Mario and Luigi are not the same as SMBSS Mario and Luigi. Not only because of the voices, but also because of their behavior. SMBSS Mario is more similar to his in-game counterpart, in which he's both a no-nonsense leader and a fun loving hero, whereas SMB3/SMW Cartoon Mario was more of the negative stereotype of Italian Brooklyn Plumbers, where they're more aggressive and more apathetic, something that both Lou Albano and Charles Martinet would agree is a bad idea for a character being the Video Game Equivalent of Popeye. Speaking of Charles Martinet, if you look at 1:11 in this video, most of the things SMBSS Mario listed, with the exception of "Muskerchelli" (and especially Garlic Ice Cream), are also part of Mario's Food Dream, not only in Super Mario 64, but also in Super Mario Odyssey. I always knew that game would please SMBSS fans, especially with the Globetrotting gimmick.
That pretty much the clique back in the 90s the main character favorite food is constantly reminded in every episode. Sonic with chili dogs, Mikey with random pizza combinations.

I think the only time they did was in The Quest for Pizza. Then again, he didn’t talk about wanting pizza, they needed the pizza to heal Mario from a poisoned weapon.
