I have always loved watches...mostly divers when I was younger, but I now gravitate toward the dress watches a bit more. I also own a Tag Heuer (Aquaracer), a Tissot powermatic 80 gentlemen, a bulova Wilton, Seiko prospex, and numerouse citizen eco-drives. All are fine watches, but I was 57 before I got my first luxury watch...I am so glad you worked hard to achieve your goal of getting that Sea Master!
Congratulations, I admire your passion and it is entertaining to watch. If it is not keeping time accurately it likely just needs a service. It is a master chronometer certified movement and should be running extremely accurately.

That’s my problem too! My wife hates it but I’m addicted to buying watches. I started with invictas then graduated to citizen watches then to tissot and then longines. My dream is breitling and omega then ultimately Rolex.
My first luxury watch was the Harrods Tudor (I never wear it). I bought a grand seiko Sbga407 recently only wear it on special occasions. I have a cheap Hamilton jazz master which I wear everyday

I recently got my first end of 2022. It too was an omega seamaster 300m but I got the black on black on the omega bracelet. I swapped the bracelet for a zealande strap for daily wear. Did you swap the spring bars when you go between bracelets and straps? I was told 19mm bars for bracelet and 20mm bars for rubber and nato straps. Might not make a difference but Omega spring bars werent much for peace of mind. Congrats on the Seamaster.
Hey brother, congratulations on that fine timepiece ⏰ however, That watch is a master chronometer, no way in heck that Hamilton will beat it in timekeeping. I have a datejust and a yachtMaster, both officially certified chronometers. One is 20 years old, one is 23 years old. Both keep incredible accuracy to +2 seconds per day. I strongly suggest you get the watch serviced or at least inspected by Omega. Not sure where you purchased from but I would inform them as well as they should have offered you at least some type of warranty. Either way it’s a beautiful watch 👍

How much does it loose or gain everyday? A watch like that should be around 0/+6 seconds per day. If its sensibly more, take it to a watchmaker who treats Omegas and ask him to regulate it. So you can have the full precision of it back again.
Real possibility here. I own a seamaster bought to an AD and the watch is reforming exactly like the metas test says on the online app, to the decimal point. And in 6 positions, several of those were at 0 spd. I highly encourage KDun to check authenticity

I was torn between the Black & White or the full Blue, ultimately I went with blue on the bracelet and an extra NATO Every time I look at my watch I smile.
I find it hard to imagine your Hamilton keeps better time than the METAS certified Seamaster, you might want to get that checked out. A Speedmaster is ultimately a tool watch. Is it luxury? Absolutely. But it's also a workhorse that should last you a lifetime of daily wear.

It’s relatively new and just a 3 hander with a date.. It should not need servicing anytime soon lol it’s a tool watch
