AD's are supposed to tell the client that the Rolex cannot be serviced. Key word is supposed. They might take your watch, send it to an SC, and waste your time. That's why you have to look for the right AD, or else you're screwed.

I own the Rolex 2-tone Submariner with blue face and bezel. I love it. It keeps incredible time. When I set it I use the digital world time and it’s almost always within a few seconds.
Congrats mate on your first Rolex. I am a big watch enthusiast and have a small collection myself. However, I feel like you should have bought the factory piece, especially for your first Rolex. The attention to detail, the polishing, the factory dial with 18k applied white gold markers and hands, trust me it’s a work of art by Rolex. However, the after market dial/bracelet is beautiful but just not the same!

Seth is the coolest dude. I worked in luxury retail for a few years and lots of salesmen are pompous jerks, but Seth reminds me of my favorite people in the industry. If I’m ever fortunate enough to buy a Rolex it’ll be from him.
That is the only omega watch I would ever buy. However I would be afraid to smack the ceramic Case against anything since ceramic is rather prone to cracking.
@@iOSKrys yeah there is that chance but I think you'd have to be pretty aggressive with it. Like if you hit a stainless steel watch hard enough to dent it. But for general wear and tear it's unmatched.

That shits going to scratch and break like crazy.” Turns out it’s not typical ceramic like you would think of. It’s an ultra high-tech form of ceramic made from scratch by Rolex and it’s virtually indestructible unless you like take a hammer to it and purposefully try to destroy it. Otherwise it is unequivocally unmatched in its strength and robustness. I have a few myself and the ceramic bezel is the only part of the watch, along with the crystal, that doesn’t have a scratch on it.
@@michaelfleming8490 Nice to hear from your experience. I only came along the ceramics topic during my studying and thats just a typical characteristic of ceramic material in general. Definitely Rolex made sure to test their watches and choose/create a durable ceramic. I like the look of the dark side of the moon watch because it’s so understated. In Germany there is a very strong social envy so it’s nice to not attract more attention than you need to. People don’t think too well of you if you drive a fancy car or wear a flashy watch.

This way is not something Rolex watch owners do; and yes I own a couple of Rolexes and a plethora of different types of watches. Unfortunately he has learnt this style from his mate; and he has definitely learnt his magpie idea of a watch from him. Just because it’s bright and shines - doesn’t make it a good watch/choice - especially if it’s aftermarket additions.

Exactly, as far as I'm aware, Rolex considers them "Fake" Rolexes and won't warranty them or repair them. Plus PVD finishes wear off.

I’m fortunate to own a Daytona bi-colour in mother of Pearl face and absolutely love her.
Though I do think Rolex the company are snobs in some of there ways..
I appreciate they may want to keep the price overvalued..

I bet that's for security and/or insurance purposes or something like that. Could also be some cray tax loophole thing (we're talking about Beverly Hills/LA/California after all), where it's cheaper to have a very profitable shop like this inside a building without direct access to a street.

Wow Cool watch. the case and bracelet look like a dark gunmetal grey. not sure about the yellow on the bezel and second hand. i would have gone for white. black on white is my thing.
I've own many Rolex's and I still own two, my Fathers witch started it all for me and a 77 GMT Master witch I bought for $500 bucks back in the 70's. Good on ya Mate!!!
The watch is worth less customized, but if you don’t sell it, it doesn’t make a difference.
It will probably save the watch in the long term and protect it from scratches. I think if you buy a Rolex it should be for life.
@@bighands69 I don’t flip watches either. People should buy what they are going to wear. My AD offered me a Sub and I can’t buy it because my wife would kill me. I bought a Rolex 2 weeks ago and another one isn’t in the budget.
