I get so excited when you make a new jacket because I know that some phenomenal beading is coming! I can’t wait to see how you work your magic! Beautiful jacket!❤️
thank you for all your uploads. It's so inspiring and I'm learning so much. Do I understand correctly that you only cut the underlying fabric into panels and not the tweet fabric (of the torso)? So the torso part of the tweet fabric will be cut into 1 piece? What an interesting approach.
Yes. I make a shell out of the netting, then I drape the tweed over it.(1 piece on the back, left & right pieces for the front.) Then you stitch the two layers together by hand Then you do the rest of the steps the normal way. 🧥 It's the way Chanel makes the really expensive haute couture tweed jackets in Paris. It lets you pattern match across the entire jacket.
Thank you! Yes, definitely. I used to make the tweed outer jacket and sew in the lining all at once and then bead but it's soooo difficult. Now I make the outer jacket, bead, then hand-sew in the silk lining.
Awesome! Jackets are a challenge but also, you get a gorgeous jacket to wear! Some of my older jacket-making videos have me putting in the silk lining. 🧥ruclips.net/video/Xuh8innCgPI/видео.html
I love the creative process you go through to get a theme which is more than just a colour match!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. 🥰🎨🌸🧥🌊

Thanks. Really interesting to see the draping process. Will you do the beading before you add the lining?
