- The last time you saw the XR150L, I installed every OEM accessory that Honda offers for it. Unfortunately, I wasn't a super big fan of most of the accessories though. Today, I found some new mods that should address the problems I had with the factory Honda XR150L parts, all while being around the same price or cheaper! Oh and there's also a curveball mod that might be too good to be true...

buy hawk 250 for cheaper all parts fit just lower quality everything the engine is basically the same just a little bigger its with a honda cg engine
I just recently bought the xr150 , I've had mine for little over a week now. And have been searching for a rear storage bag just like this one. Clean look and easy to strap on. Keep killing the 150 content man👌
Almost any under 2x2 bag will do. Hate the ones that have to be covered though.
Consider a generic 2L dry bag or the WalMart $40 dry bag backpack...take the padded shoulder straps off and strap it to the rack. It comes to be strapped to your rack or back.
The Amazon one here for 70 will expand to hold your helmet...not bad and it looks to be an ergonomic fit.
Great videos! But I hate those hose clamps. If it were my bike, I would drill the frame and guard, and install a RIV nut / PEM nut, them use a stainless button head fastener. Would give it a clean and professional look, and likely last longer. I will bet those hose clamps give up the first time they get dragged across a rock. That's my two cents anyway. Keep up the great content!
I have 70 miles on my 2023 xr150L im really liking it so far. Been riding a 2014 grom and a 2017 cbr1000rr so this is quite a change. Simplicity is what I really appreciate about riding this bike, basic and tons of fun!

I like your content and delivery. I have had two XR150 in Asia, about 20,000km. That bash plate with bars is ridiculous and how it mounts to the frame. So amateurish. Its main job is protect the bottom of the engine and the engine casing. The complete bottom of the engine is exposed. Check out the B&B Bash Aluminium plate for the XR150. Pricey but thats how to build an indestructible bash plate, 4mm aluminium, full seam welds and specific bolts to the XR150 frame allowing for Oil changes without removing the bash plate. Manufactured the same as full Race, Rally, Desert bash plates specifically made for each model bike. Whilst i have used B&B products over many years they are expensive but a similarly designed bash plate out of quality materials is whats needed. Love the rear bag, use a quality rear bag previously on other bikes and it works so well, convenirent and simple removal.
Completely agree that bash plate would not work for me where I live, too many rocks and too much exposure to the bottom of the engine.

Yep. You have a rack. Big generic bag on the rack and you're done on a small bike.
The Honda luggage was just to separate a teen from his/her money or offer something for his/her birthday presents. It is a perfect teen or college bike.

Just an FYI, instead of working shorter to get that Allen key inside of the guard/skidplate it's likely a situation where you can work longer, moving the tool outside of the confined space with a ratchet extension or long Allen key and then being within tolerance at a slight angle.
The XR150 is a workhorse! I have a detachable 55l top box for grocery shopping only. I'm 6'2" over 200lbs and my wife is taller than the average Filipina. We loaded the top box and ourselves on the XR on Saturday and the bike had no problem. Didn't even bottom out in a big road dip where the cars slow down. This bike is the bomb in the Philippines. When it's just me riding, I simply take a backpack. I've seen the XR with large side cases and it looks like a little bike pretending to be a big bike.. lol just my opinion...
These seem like a great first bike hope I can afford one sooner rather than later.
I love that tail bag, I bought one two years ago and used it on multiple 2000+ miles road trips on my ninja. I’ve fit everything I needed (including clothes) for those trips. Only thing is that the rain cover can come off at highway speeds, I lost mine somewhere on the highway bridge between Memphis and Little Rock 😂
Do you have any thoughts of using a rain repellent spray, if so how did it work out? How about a scooter shell for storage?
I know this bike has a plastic tank, but NEVER put your tank bag on the ground like you did. turn it over. . .keep the foam bottom as clean as possible or you’ve basically added sandpaper to your tank.

I have that same skid plate. It works ok, but rusts over time.
I also have their larger rear bike rack mod, and that's really nice.
I bet you could figure out a way to combine the 2 engine guards and get the best of both

Fitting a helmet is probably not for when parked. Its probably so you can haul a helmet with you to go pick up a passenger.

Definitely gonna grab these! Just got my 2024 xr150l a few days ago. Very fun on and off road. My only complaint is that the blinkers seem like super cheesy plastic. One dump and those things are gone.

The first video of you i saw, is the test ride video of xr. Then i binged almost all your videos mainly grom videos. ( None of the rebel videos) and I'm still here only because of grom and this and your simple, taco, nature lovin nature and beauty of your place. But i would watch you doing what you do with grom with this . Than product reviews on it. Take the bike to woods and go take spins around your neighbourhood.

On the engine guard, I'd probably get rid of the clamps and run a couple of heavy duty self tapping screws to attach it to the frame.

Just got my xr 150 second hand from someone who has it for 6 months... It's got 8 miles on it but the problem it has is it's really hard to start and dies when it supposed to idle. If I start it and ride it it's fine but as soon as I put it in neutral and let it idle it dies... What can be wrong with it ? Thank you
Burch, I called nearly every store in Ontario, Canada. Eberywhere I contacted it was variations of the same: "Sorry, out of stock".
One dealer even went so far as to maje me aware of how each dealer only got 2 here, and a large amount of them were even pre-ordered months ahead of time... I was S-O-L.
Then, just last night, i got a text message from a guy 3 hours away, he had the last one in stock! Imagine my surprise!
Long story short: I ordered it! Please help me think of a name for this lucky bike!
