Yeah box flares were a thing in the 80s-90s. Almost every car manufacturer who competed in the wrc had box flares or over fenders on their rallye cars. Audi, toyota, and opel were just a few who used this type of over fenders or fender flares.
The ability to reinstall some factory plastics (albeit cut) after such a drastic reimagination of the vehicle is highly commendable... I've enjoyed this build very much so far and you've not disappointed on either content or skill. 👌🏼
"And now, you're watching the passing by an old guy flooring it in his brand new corvette and getting passed by a shitbox v8 at 8000 rpm with enough valve float to unsink the titanic, channel..welp - to BodeVision"
Adam it looks very impressive now I think the Dynamat made it look 3/4 done on it's own. I know you have loads to do still but on the visuals it looks as though you are in touching distance. Keep them coming now
Also make sure that your pedal has a little play at the top and is letting the master cylinder piston return all the way back or it will not allow the fluid to return to the reservoir when it expands with the heat. If it cant get back into the resevoir , it will apply the brakes or clutch.
bro you are jumping through so many hoops rite now its crazy great progress with the car , love watching a guy reach his dreams and have fun doing so pretty soon we will be on to paint so lets start picking a shade of orange maybe on the next video
So what I take from this video is ......take a chevy truck, suv or car and swap my civic hatch since my k24 turbo setup will be going into a CRX. I love the video and I love the car. I had one of these accords along with the preludes. Honda does not make them like this any more. I say take it to the track. I love the fact that you brought a OLD school Honda back to life. I would never tear apart a newer Honda like this but seeing old school ones with something different is amazing. The biggest Honda engine I have laying around is the V6 J35 from the Honda mini van.
I commented awhile back about my v8 astro van build and how hot the floor got. I'm not sure how well that stick on sound mat is gonna stick on a drive. You'll find out quick when your running down the road at speed how hot that area where the headers is and trans tunnel. It'll burn you almost like a motorcycle pipe. I would've done some kind of heat insulation if I wasn't 20 and felt invincible. You couldn't touch the floor after 15-20 minutes all around the back of the motor and just the radiant heat you could feel on your leg within a couple inches. That glue on the dynamat stuff is good but we'll see if it holds up to a couple hundred degrees. I heat wrapped my headers and that helped a lot but it still got hot enough to burn you. Should think about wrapping your headers. Projects looking good dude! Glad you switched out that master cylinder. It scared me
Bro out of this entire build what has gave you the biggest head ache? This is such a unique build.excited to see the outcome good luck bode even tho you don’t need it.
Hmm the hardest part by far is figuring out what need to happen before the next thing that I want to happen. For example I was waiting on finishing the flor because I needed to make sure the drive shaft would clear. I had all the supplies to finish flor but was waiting on drive shaft. So it’s thing like that. Also making everything fit in this small package. Drive shaft needs room but if you give it to much room the seats won’t fit. Stuff like that. Lots of thinking.
The car is really coming together and I seriously cant wait to see it done, do you think you'll take it to The Turkey Rod Run? Well..... If we have the Rod Run....
When it comes time for body work you should look into some custom wide body fenders like the ones button built on his 355 Ferrari... maybe lol can't wait to see what you come up with!
Bode, is that your dad, and if so, its really cool that hes by your side throughout this whole process. Im sure you both have taught each other tremendously, and i hope you hold onto that forever. Also, would it be advantageous to have IDatalink, or is it pointless with the Holley?
Looking good Bode, hope your heatshield mod works ok as it's s bit tight around that area, will you be having Brian from Paint Society come over and do the body paint work with you? I like seeing you both working together, you make a good team, John UK.
I want to see this car when it complete.. Do you go to any of the local car cruises north of Orlando? I am in Deland and would come to see it when it is done. Keep us informed if and when you are ready to display your fine work. Bob
Aww I thought you were going to keep all the cool metal work exposed!....Can't wait to see how different or creativeness on the Fender Flare design!...Unless its just gonna be traditional style?
Yes you can, I would change that to a hardline for additional safety (vapours can sometimes seep through soft lines) but that's not as dangerous as one would think, most racecars have the lines ran that way
Are you still running a single outlet on the brake master? If so, picture what happened with your clutch, but with your brakes. If one goes, they all go.
I think this accord would look awesome with a box flare similar to that seen on the e30 m3, and audi quatro 5000s.
That’s what I’ve been thinking too! E30 would be perfect.
Love me some box flares

I am pretty sure that Adam can pull it off, I have seen his fabrication skills in action on his videos.
How does this channel not have more subs, this guy is literally the cleanest builder on the planet
I agree
I’m so glad you put the sound deadening on it.
It makes difference in making your car feel
More quiet and less vibrations
The ability to reinstall some factory plastics (albeit cut) after such a drastic reimagination of the vehicle is highly commendable... I've enjoyed this build very much so far and you've not disappointed on either content or skill. 👌🏼
This is looking so clean, love how you were able to maintain the plastic trim in the back. Super excited to see it painted and back together!
"And now, you're watching the passing by an old guy flooring it in his brand new corvette and getting passed by a shitbox v8 at 8000 rpm with enough valve float to unsink the titanic, channel..welp - to BodeVision"
Lol, perfect
I love it!
Lol whys it have to be a shitbox tho? This thing is gonna be the shit when its done... U know bode is about to go ham on the paint job! 💯
Definitely he will
Another buh buh bangar. The only channel where the fans are appreciated and loved. Wuhwuhwelcome to bodevision
Love the clean look. I second box fenders. Always wondered about adding strips around the edges to widen a stock fender.
This was a great vid. A lot of progress in 14 mins. I don't mind wait longer to get vids like this.
The amount of reassurance that you are just moving forward is perfect😂 imagine having that as a dad, the kid could never say he got confused
Good job on your progress Bode! You are a real engineer.
I love the way the heater control worked out, looks much better.
Im so excited to see the final car
You know what I think another great video and getting so close to the finish line and I can't wait to see more in next video
Bro this car is moving right along it's looking awsom and it's functional that's sick
Adam it looks very impressive now I think the Dynamat made it look 3/4 done on it's own. I know you have loads to do still but on the visuals it looks as though you are in touching distance.
Keep them coming now
your work looks so calming. my bucket list build includes you.
I have the same Kilmat on my doors rear deck and trunk for my stereo system and it works pretty good.
Willbe coming together!

Loving the progress keep up the great work bro
This build is coming along nicely
I'm really excited to see how the interior will come out!
Coming along great. Another few weeks and it' will be ready for sure.
Great progress, dude! Lovin' it!
Damn. This year dissapeared smh. Glad this build was part of my 2020

Car is gonna be "SWEET"
Love the clean look of it!
Looking good! Can't wait to see it done and ripping :-)
The grid embossed into the KilMat is there to you tell when it's applied properly with a roller.
I’m loving it sir!!!!
I used that same sound deadening in my C5 Corvette. Haven't been able to test it yet, but I hope it helps quite thing down and blocks a bit of heat.
OMG I LOVE that intro.
Looks great Adam!
Congradulation s o f a r ! These project aren't easy n' fast !!
Rugrats sheet!! throw back!!
I’m so happy to see that you’ve mad it thus far. Job well done 👍🏾👍🏾

Headers are wrapped and with this swap being so common amongst all platforms I’m thinking it should be fine
Looks great 👍🔥🔥💯
Coming right along
That intro tho 🤯 ... Facts 💯
Such a cool project! I wanna K swap mine.
Love it coming along great, I think it would look so much cleaner with blank interior tho, tht browns gotta go!!!!!!!
Bro out of this entire build what has gave you the biggest head ache? This is such a unique build.excited to see the outcome good luck bode even tho you don’t need it.

BodeVision well you make it look easy man glad your bringing us along with your frustrations and success I can appreciate the work.
Very nice progress Adam. To be honest, I'm losing my patience a little bit too, hahahaha. Dutch regards Nico.
Thing is coming along man it is so badass 👌
hell yeh, making moves my man
Bro you never disappoint ✌👍
Killing it homie
From the funny intros to all the updates this video rocks . Now don’t forget to like , comment & subscribe ✊🏻✊🏻
The car is really coming together and I seriously cant wait to see it done, do you think you'll take it to The Turkey Rod Run? Well..... If we have the Rod Run....
If we have one, I would love to
Sick work yo.....👀👌🏽
Yeah yeah. Question. Are you planning on doing drag week or rocky mountain race week events with ol Betty White.
Damn u almost there mang!!!!
When it comes time for body work you should look into some custom wide body fenders like the ones button built on his 355 Ferrari... maybe lol can't wait to see what you come up with!
you should use that dash light over the cluster as a shift light
I’m running a Holley pro digital dash and that has programmable shift light settings
Bode, is that your dad, and if so, its really cool that hes by your side throughout this whole process. Im sure you both have taught each other tremendously, and i hope you hold onto that forever.

Hey man! I’m sure we will get together on some of the paint work
i really really enjoy the music. what is the music?
I want to see this car when it complete.. Do you go to any of the local car cruises north of Orlando? I am in Deland and would come to see it when it is done. Keep us informed if and when you are ready to display your fine work. Bob
Yes for sure when events start happening again
It's looking good 👍👍🇨🇱
Good stuff 👍
Are you gonna upgrade the steering wheel ?
Hey Adam. Maybe I missed it but what fittings are you using for your build?
Great Fab work 💪👏👌
Aww I thought you were going to keep all the cool metal work exposed!....Can't wait to see how different or creativeness on the Fender Flare design!...Unless its just gonna be traditional style?
It’ll be a little mix of both, old styling but newer techniques. If that makes sense.
I hope you go drifting with Taylor and see what he thinks
Let's hope those high pressure fuel lines don't rupture inside the car that would be the first part of a potentially really bad day
Hell Yea!
who is that older gentleman in some of your videos?
Bro you can't have a fuel line running through the cabin!?
that and the tank, unless he has plans to enclose that in a fire wall
Yes you can, I would change that to a hardline for additional safety (vapours can sometimes seep through soft lines) but that's not as dangerous as one would think, most racecars have the lines ran that way
Duuuude i put my comment befor watching the video any way ill enjoy it 👍🏻👍🏻
How much interior are you planning on putting In the car?
Wow A rare No hat wearing time lapse
Was That Sound Proof Stuff Expensive?
fuel line ran in the car next to the driver seat? sounds dangerous to me....
Factory location for the original hard line.
As much as i love this project i do miss the paint content
It’ll be back soon!
Are you still running a single outlet on the brake master? If so, picture what happened with your clutch, but with your brakes. If one goes, they all go.
I’m running a dual master now
Can a 2005 Honda Civic lx have a ls1 but be an automatic

Dude watching this in 10 years: “Why TF does this guy hate schools in Florida so much???”
Lmfao that’s so true. Imagine that being said 8 months ago. Wouldn’t make any sense at all lol
I think you ramble on a bit much.
Show more of the work and less talk. Nonetheless awesome video keep up the good work
Paint the interior black
