Such a sad way to end such a talented life, I remember seeing him on the doorstep of his house with his lawyer as the “gentlemen” of the press surrounded him. It was an awful side to see this man who was physically destroyed. RIP Freddy and thank you Paul for giving him the respect and dignity so many failed to do at the end.
I was so upset with his "entertainment friends" His bestie's didn't even see to it that his body was brought home. All that money they have, didn't even club in together. It was a funeral director who stepped up and brought his body home. Funeral man paid for his funeral So generous caring and showed much consideration. So much for true friends. R.I.P. Freddie x
In reference to the funeral director that gave freddie hi dignity reminds me what someone once said to me quote a stranger is just a friend you do not know
My mum and dad met him a few times during his early days touring the clubs. They said he was a very funny and kind man, they shared many laughs with him. I will always remember him for his appearances on the Des O’Connor show.May he rest in peace.
R I P Freddie brilliant entertainer 🙏 lived life to the full sadly missed never be forgotten thanks for all the joy you give ❤️ respect 🙏 big thanks poul top man 👨 👍
Hi Paul Freddie Starr✨ such a legend in comedy I loved him he was so hilarious and always had me in tears of laughter 😂😂 so sad he's gone his legacy will always live on ❤️ he is so sadly missed and he will always be remembered of my generation RIP Freddie ✨ 🙏🌹🕊️🦋 Thank you Paul for sharing with us his final resting place ✝️
I saw Freddie in Bristol at the local theater there that night immensely funny and so unique amazing singing🎤 voice he worked hard. To perfect his craft RIP Freddie you'll never be forgotten ever...
@@MrDaiseymay hippodrome yeah that's the one he had so much energy ⚡ like a coiled spring he was pouring with sweat 💧 he puts absolutely everything into a show in the later days before his death he owned a bar in Spain and was very overweight and was singing karaoke at his bar sad to see he went right down hill after false allegations by the press nearly destroyed him shame to see the sad demise of such a truly gifted and great human being
One of, if not THE BEST comedian to ever come from the UK! Freddie Starr entertained us all for years and years, a man not only great at telling jokes, not only great at singing, but an "all-round" entertainer! He was just amazing! The media and press ruined him unfortunately, but what they couldn't do was ruin the love for him from the people who really appreciated him and knew him for him! I will never forget Freddie Starr, he brought so many laughs to me and my family's life, and continues to do so through DVD's and RUclips videos! RIP Freddie xo
I went to see him years ago at Caesars Palace in Luton Bedfordshire I was crying with laughter most of the time , he could make people laugh just standing still a great guy and a fantastic Comedian sadly missed RIP Freddie.
About 55 ish years ago, Freddie was performing during the summer season at Gt Yarmouth and he came each week to the Karate class I was in; he was great fun. Some 15 years later, I was in show biz and was fortunate to be his support act at a couple of his cabaret shows, which were always fun and full of practical jokes. One of our best entertainers.
It was really sad what happened to Freddy being accused of harm. I met Freddy back in the 80's i was 12 at Manchester Airport with my Dad and Mum. He chatted with everyone and made them laugh. He was unique. Thanks for another great video Paul
Comedian impressionist singer what a talent nothing like this anymore what a wonderful person he was bringing laughter to millions of people RIP Freddie what a Starr.
Loved the Freddie Starr show growing up. I especially enjoyed the episode with the football match!😹 Think he was the best Elvis impersonator too. Was fab singing with the Jordanaires! So good! Thanks Paul get a good rest! 🤗 Xxx
A legendary comic and singer of whom I watched as a young kid and growing up. His sketches had myself as a young boy alongside family in hysterics. 50 years on I still remember him well and will never forget the laughs he bought me throughout my life. RIP Freddie🙌🏻
Freddie was a great all round entertainer just the best he was totally unique a one off, i grew up watching Freddie i remember how the audience got nervous when he came amongst them we probably won't see the likes again 😅 RIP Freddie we all miss you
I saw Freddie in Great Yarmouth many years ago, he had the audience in hysterics. One joke was something about a horse wearing slippers. It was a fabulous night RIP Freddie❤
I went to see Freddie in Birmingham years ago. I still remember that night. I cried laughing so much I had to go out to catch my breath. His talent as a singer was fantastic. It was a magical night and I still recollect it to my friends. Miss you Freddie
Freddie was a one off. A naturally funny guy. ‘An audience with Freddie Starr’ is on RUclips if you ever need a pick me up and a good belly laugh. His singing performance on that program with Elvis‘s backing singers, ‘The Jordanaires’, is superb and still makes the hair on the back of my neck, stand-up even to this day. It’s sad how his life ended, he deserved so much more. RIP Freddie.
Great entertainer , a really funny guy used to love watching him perform. Thank you for showing us his final resting place, sure hes a shining star now up above
Me and my wife watched him on the north pier in blackpool .never laughed so much in my life.he was brilliant singing elvis songs, sadly missed but never forgotten
Freddie was loved by millions during his career. Very funny man, very talented. Loved is shows. From an era when people did not take comedy so personally. So sad he ended up dying in those circumstances. But how wonderful of those undertakers from Sheffield who brought him home.
Hello Paul…I loved Freddie ⭐️ growing up…he was hysterical to watch, his funny dancing, he was never disrespectful to anybody else, never ran anybody down or said a bad word against them, he was very funny, inventive+very charismatic!!! Like you said in your video, I only had to look at him+I’d start to laugh, he didn’t need to open his mouth or do anything…he was just a funny chap!!! Thanks for the memories Freddie…RIP!!! X🙃❤️🙏🏻✝️
Hello Paul. Great video as usual. I worked with Fred for a few years we were great friends and I ended up as Fred’s tour manager and also booked his tours for a number of years. He really was the ultimate entertainer I never knew what he would do. We had a rough script but many times he would get on stage and rip that up and just let his talent take over. He’s the only entertainer when he took his first step off stage the audience would all gasp in fear. I could write a book myself of my time with Fred so much fun so many laughs but tears as well. Just sad how it all ended I still miss him everyday.
Thank you Andrew, that’s such a great thing to hear. Maybe you should write a book and tell some of the amazing stories and fun times you had working with him .🙏
@@UnusualThings1 Haha it would be a thick book. So many stories including amazing times and tragic times with Diana Dors and Alan Lake. I tale I will share with you. Freddie at one time lived in Windsor. He had a gardener who was found to be stealing thousands of pounds of jewellery from Freddie. The gardener was arrested and when it went to trial, the prosecution was told that the gardener was given the jewellery by Fred in exchange for sexual favours. So the prosecution asked the gardener if Fred was circumcised or uncircumcised. He picked the wrong one. The gardener’s name was Robin Cockshead. Ironic but true lol. .
Fred didn’t eat a hamster it was a story made up by his publicist at the time Max Clifford. If I had a £1 for every person we met who asked that question I would be a very wealthy man.
Saw Freddie Starr in Blackpool in the 70s he came on and fell down the hole in the stage 😂 a lot of the greats have sadly gone now. Thanks for all the hard work & travel you put in to making these.
Such a great talent. See him live back in the 80’s. We were lucky to be at the front and he sang to my Mum, holding her hand . Sadly I lost my dear Mum last November. What a great memory of them both I have to treasure . Like myself Freddie was a massive Elvis fan, and like Elvis, they both had twin brothers that died at birth and there is only one day between their birthdays . So very sad about his childhood 😢Thank you for sharing.
He brought me so many laffs, he was naturally funny an absoulute genius. We were on holiday in a hotel just a couple of hundred yards from his house in Mijas (Mee-haaas) Costa Del Sol Spain when we heard the news that day we were stunned & couldnt take it in. Legend.
What a legend.... I was very lucky to have seen him live in Torquay Devon many years ago & he was awesome.. His obvious natural talent for comedy was brilliant but he was an exceptional singer too.. I'm so glad you visited his final resting place Paul as he was one person I really wanted to see on the channel... He had an incredibly sad childhood & I wasn't aware of that information... Thank you for all the research & effort you put into these productions.... R.I.P Freddie ❤️
