No thanks at all needed. I believe the people who lied to the Police should have been charged with wasting police time.
As for the police and press I truly believe they have blood on their hands.
I never met Freddie starr in life but caring for him in death is something I will always be proud of. Although I was trolled and some vermin slated me for what I did.

When Des O`Connor passed away in 2020 they showed an obituary on TV that included all the best clips from his career. Not once did they show the laughs and frolics he shared with Freddie , and there were loads...Those two bounced off each other with their comedy and was a joy to watch when I was growing up.

I was lucky to see Freddie live. He came out after the show and sat on the edge of the stage as we were going home and asked if anyone had any questions? A guy said what is the silliest thing you have done Fred?
Fred replied, I was sitting at home bored looking out the window at the pouring rain.
I suddenly jumped up, ran outside and flagged down a passing car. The guy opened the window and said hello Freddie how are you is there a problem?
Freddie said, I am in trouble and I need a bit of a push to get me going will you help? The guy said sure and parked his car and followed him round the back of his house.
Fred then came out with the punchline.
He said I went and sat on the garden swing, and this guy stood there giving me a push..both of us getting soaking wet!
Still funny all these years later and I believe it really did happen, that was the guy.

I think most knew Freddie was shy and fragile. He like many used his comedy to function. It's terrible how it ended for him . Great comedian and daft as a brush who had you in stitches throughout his .But it could have happened to Cliff, Jim, Matthew Kelly and I believe Jim Tarbuck . No action is great but the stigma of being accused and investigated must be gut wrenchingly devistating

When genuine accusations are made about powerful people, their tactic is to find people willing to make false (and usually scandalous) accusations - then they will highlight the false allegations as proof all the accusations were false. They don't care who the false accusations target - their goal is to protect the powerful!

    • @tomhaskett5161

Always been a fan of Jim's. His sense of humour and strength of character got him through that dark period, and I respect his honesty. There was a time he couldn't take a small step forward with his left foot out the door when all this happened.

It’s a real shame about Freddie and I think his family should hang their heads in shame for abandoning him and leaving it upto a fan so I believe to give him a decent send off. Those who bring these actions against people should think long and hard about their actions too. A lot of things went off in the 70 80 90 it was a different in so many ways to what we’ve been lumbered with now
