pls go really in depth on true bankai in the final video. the whole sheathe vs shell topic, why only the sheathe fractured, why it revealed what used to be his shikai, what his bankai power really is (many think its the ability to change fate, being a direct almighty counter and explaining why yhwach feared it so much)

Ichigo truly came of age here between the revelations of his origins and his struggles to reforge his Zanpakuto while coming to terms with his inner soul. Now he is ready to be the savior of the worlds and stand against Yhwach, his legacy was truly forged here. Liked the talk he and Isshin shared as father and son and the quick acceptance, while him sheltering with his boss means he hasn't lost touch with his human side. Ichigo is ready now.
I love Ikumi so goddamned much. Like- KAZUI NEEDS HER TO BE HIS GODMOTHER. HE NEEDS TO HANG OUT WITH HER SON. I NEED THISSSS!!!

@elpop man Totally agreed. What’s the point of all that character growth and power build up/hype if Ichigo is just going to get crushed after his true Bankai gets broken (none of which should happen in the first place).
The part with the asauichi is so deep, by far my favorite part of the everything but the rain arc
When people say Bleach doesn't have that much story telling and is all just slashes with a lot a of blood.
Bleach's story telling is more deep & most relatable in the big 3, and definetly up there in all of Anime.

When I was younger I believed to have a hollow self of me in me in where it made me realize I couldn't fail him after lending me powers to keep moving forward and if I failed it would take over me.
It has help me move forward and its a constant reminder that I have to keep moving and keep those promises I told my 17 yr self almost 13 yrs ago.
That I would make him proud .
Dude... same! I finished watching Ichigo at 15yo... I still remember feeling odd and sad about this show. Kind of like I knew there was something more that met the eye, but I just could get what that was. These videos truly stirred up misunderstood feelings and unsolved questions that I kept in for 7 years about this show. Thanks to this, it help me process them and somehow find closure. I can't thank Flame of Rebirth enough for this!

Perhaps at this point of the story, Ikumi already knew that Ichigo lost his mother at a very young age, almost the same age as her own son. That explains her sense of attachment towards Ichigo. I think it's a nice touch that she also has a son, making her empathize with Ichigo's urge to mature early after his mom's death, and take care of his siblings. Hence the scene of Ikumi reminding him that it's ok to rely on adults.

Yes! Someone finally brings up just how gorgeously expressive Kubo's facial expressions are. A single picture tells entire stories.
I honestly never realised how differently Ichigo handled being depressed as time went on. Kudos to my boy! I love that he finally has someone in Ikumi to rely on as well.
And finally, the Zangetsu revelation and Blade Is Me moments. Easily my favourite non-combat scenes in the manga and it's not even close. I could talk about these for hours and how they impact the rest of the characters and series, but I think you did a wonderful job here. Another great Kubology lesson! (That word is so ingenious)

It is interesting to look back and see that white was there to kick Ichigo into gear whenever he felt he needed to learn a lesson or was becoming vulnerable

Such a great video man, nice job! Ichigo is a great character and you have shown it perfectly. What's also interesting is that when old man zangetsu first summoned white in ichigo's inner world in the soul society arc , he told ichigo that "this time you are fighting yourself"
One of the best anime analysis’s I’ve seen in a really long time, for knowledge and guidance. Ichigo’s journey is the perfect example of how in order for us to reach our full potential, we need to hear what we need to hear, and do what we need to do. It’s not all about wants because that can be misguiding, feed our ego and take us to a darker path. If you do want something in life, you NEED to accept what you can’t control and work towards what you can gain because eventually, it’ll all fall into place, you’ll know what your purpose in life is.
This is a breath of fresh air from the manny shallow content. Yours doesn't rely on cheap humor or flashy presentation, but pure quality.

The way you described bleach and ichigo as a whole was amazing I was with you with every word and sentence just wow
The blade is me. That such a perfect revelation. At the beginning the show pretty much makes you think that white is just a mutation that merged with Ichigo's soul but as time went on it didn't seem to be the case as there was something more to it. The revelation that white was Zangutsu brings us back to that battle when Ichigo was fighting white to gain control of his hollow powers, and his speech about the king and instinct, This shows us what that truly was. It was Ichigo's true Bankai Training. Black Zangutsu explanation of suppressing Ichigo's soul reaper powers Shows us that during that training in soul society he wasn't helping Ichigo Learn Bankai, he was trying to suppress as much of it as he could so the training was incomplete. It's even possible that the Vasta Lorde from was Ichigo's true Bankai from.

Ichigo might have not even had an actual zanpakuto before Nimaya forged it. I mean, zanpakutos are by definition made from Asauchis, which Ichigo never had one. For all we know, what he was swinging around all throughout the Aizen arc might have been some sort of Quincy blade that Old Man created and just made it look like a Zanpakuto
Well, while Ichigo wasn't a Vasto Lorde by any means, since he wasn't pure hollow to start with, he developed a hollow transformation at the end of Bleach, not just the capacity of donning a hollow mask, or the ability to use his hollow powers without using his mask due to fullbring. So in the end, the Quincy part of his powers truly were suppressing his hollow and shinigami powers.
You are masterful at telling what is not told. I truly appreciate all your reflections in this life whether or not it’s just a character.
Man!!! I’ve been reading bleach since early 2000’s. I was in my mid 20’s. I’ve waited well over 20 years to hear such a massive explanation of bleach., and Ichigo. This ties so much of why the story was so influential to me. You are a legend!❤

As somebody who watched the show religiously every single week when it was coming out in subs, I am soooo excited to see the TYBW come to life. I haven't read the manga, though I've gone through plenty of content like this and I am SOOOO hyped to see this. I hope they change up the ending just a little, I do agree with everyone that in the manga it felt a little rushed.
Honestly through the revelations that came with the TYBW, my jaw was on the floor for quite a bit of it.

I agree, the chapters "The sword five", "The Blade and Me" and "The Blade is Me" are some of the best chapters of Bleach and the most important ones to understand the message of Bleach. And every Bleach fan deserves to read then, and now in the future they will be able to seen then in the future.
You speak volumes in your words. You speak as if you are ichigo himself. You're the being that appears when Aizen unleashes his bankai. Unknown though influential. Love the vids man, keep it up
What majority of people dont really get about Bleach is that it is a story about discovery, acknowledgement and acceptance of one true self. Even when you talk about the zanpakutoh and what they are all about, the goal of the kenjutsu or "the art of the sword" is to actually become one with your sword but to do so you must know your sword as well as you know yourself.

And so Ichigo gains the knowledge he need to complete the final lesson passed to him as he completed what was required to learn the Final Getsuga Tenshō, as he wondered why it did not hurt, White and Old man Zangetsu(young) say "of course not. This Tensa Zangetsu was originally you yourself... if you accept it then you should not feel any pain from being pierced by it..." where he had to accept the Tensa zangetsu that was both of them for him to throw them away
After all Zangetsu(old man) was part of Zangetsu(White) and vice versa they both tell Ichigo this how they were one and now Ichigo begin to fully understand them along with accepting them
after all let us look at Ichigo Fulbring and the description of Fulbring "that you draw out the soul and boost it with your own soul" and so Ichigo Fulbring starts out looking like part of Zangetsu and then replicates what Zangetsu did where he wore his power and of course the attack of his Fulbring feels exactly like Getsuga Tenshō, the power of Zangetsu
and so as Names have power the truth is revealed the name of Ichigo power is Zangetsu and so Ichigo learns and accepts the truth that Zangetsu is Ichigo Kurosaki power they are one and the same and so now Ichigo accepts and understands himself without the intend of throwing himself away

Something I realized while watching this, the idea that the zanpakuto is the same as the weilder is the reason Kenpachi is as powerful as he was naturally was for this exactly this reason. That he was always fighting similar in that he fought for himself, which is similar to understanding his blade.
This is why Bleach is my favorite piece of anything in pop culture ever he writes his characters perfectly and in one panel tells an entire story

I honestly feel satisfied after watching bleach i never knew why i picked it up ig it was just my love for Katanas and my curiosity as to why being one of the big 3 it wasnt much talked about i just started animes and my friends were naruto or one piece but that never sat right with me so i didnt watch them but ig it was fate pulling the strings i am currently in a very critical moment in my life i didnt know what to do felt like i was lost so i just binged this but it is helping me
