Solid loadout. One item I found helpful during section hiking here a Gerber utility tool (the pliers were invaluable in tightening up my trekking poles). Hope you are doing ok out there!

Mines already getting to be a small car payment lol,we're going to southbound April 4th , only this year I've opted for the kelty Redwing 50 and a 20° Qezer down bag ,tested this thing this morning it's like a pound but it slept nice , carrying my same kelty mesa 2.0, hey what shoes are you using on this one? Last year I used a pair of merrells but ended up shipping them home when I hit the west Virginia highlands ,those shoes sucked ,I'm thinking of trying barefoot shoes this trip and I'm carrying my nestout panels for charging everything. Hey who knows maybe we'll cross tracks man ,first trail beer is on me , nice video glad to see I'm not the only one hearing the white slashes calling me back again for some adventure. Happy Hiking

Doubling your socks actually works against you constricting your blood flow. Nothing beats a thicker wool sock. I use the smart wool they have almost the same warranty as darn tough. And they sell everything not just socks.

The woman magma 15 is actually a 15° bag the men's magma 15° is actually 30°. They used 9oz more down in the woman version. Wtf REI

Nice gear choices. Love my women’s magma 15. It did great on my AT thru hike this year. Had the new Thermarest with a 7.3 R value and actually stayed warm in 9 F.

I haven't tried the women's magma...but I know the comfortability and risk rating is better than the men's...and I loved the women's jhoule bag. Sounds like you had a great set up.

Was your pad full length? I was going to try that one out myself but I wasn't sure how long it was.

been watching a lot of your videos..i see there are a few people in these comments already who have asked but so far i dont see an answer- do you take a cook set? or just cold soak? I use a toaks set and MSR burner and it adds weight so wondering if it's worth taking..thanks:)

Nice load-out. Love how you are ditching the pack brain and using a bear can the full way through!

If you're planning on doing 2 more thru hikes then I'd definitely invest in the carbon fiber bearikade. Used they can be found for $300+ recently saw one for $250.

I'm happy with what I use...and would never pay that much for a bear can

If I could find one for $200 I might but I definitely understand. I don't have one either.

It was in the bear can...forgot to take it out lol. It's a pocket rocket...same I've used for last couple thru's...it was included in the totals.
