Hey Yammie, would consider the Kawasaki Z650 naked bike from 2017 with ABS a good beginner bike? It sits IMHO right in the threshold of too little and too much bike, challenging but not overwhelming.
Do you feel the flex of the trellis frame of the rc390 is a flaw or intentional? I remember reading honda did a ton of work trying to make the rc51 less stiff to compete with ducati, something about the frames being stiff vertically but being able to wallow and dig into corners

If you want cheap and best buy a leo Vince decat pipe and and Leo vince lv10 universal slip on ( choose the one that's weightless, there are different ones like titanium and stainless steel)
Leave it to yammi to compare 2 bikes in different classes. The ninja has twice as many cylinders and more displacement when its the single that should have a displacement advantage.
For 2020 ktm decided to add quickshifter to the duke 390 and the adventure 390 but sadly they skipped that on the RC 390 which I think is a pretty stupid decision. The rc 390 is getting an overhaul later this year lets just hope for the best
I had both and i’m choosing the ninja 400 as for keeps but i’ll get the rc390 if its just for some track day then sell it later or sooner. Mid and top end, the ninja 400 will smoke the rc390. It will require quite more mods than the rc if it is to be used solely on track. But overall, reliability, track, and real world, the ninja 400 is to go. If i am to get a 390 then that would be the duke 390 which surprisingly is better as a naked than the z400.
Unless you're an advanced rider, you don't need to do any mods on the Ninja 400 for track days. If ur a Novice or intermediate level rider, you'd just be wasting money modding it. Realistically, riders at those levels just aren't good enough to extract any benefits of mods at those stages. They're still just figuring out and understanding basics of trying how to ride fast. Unless you are advanced, the only mod you need to focus on is the Rider mod.
Hey Yammie how do you time your laps? What gear do you need for that? Jeeze dude how much do they charge for a trackday? That's the roughest surface I've ever seen!
Yammie, with your vids could you write a lil synopsis of the vid, for example this video would have pros/cons of each bike, and your preference of bike, for your lists videos write the actual lists, it would be useful if I can't watch the full video or with sound depending on situation.
Yammie, how's the suspension on the R3 compared to Ninja ? I'm looking for fun bike that handles well but I'm gonna use it as my daily commuter too so it just can't have stiff suspension.
I wouldn't say the Ninja is "too stiff" for the street by any means, but the R3 does handle a little better in my opinion. However the power difference between the R3 and the Ninja is very noticeable on the street.
Actually I have ridden Kawasaki bikes but never owned one. The plane coming in at 20:45 sounds like a Beechcraft T-6! My old flame!
joshXnovak1 id recognize that sound anywhere. Used love flying it
Hey Yammie any Recommendations for aftermarket exhaust for RC 390?
If you want cheap and best buy a leo Vince decat pipe and and Leo vince lv10 universal slip on ( choose the one that's weightless, there are different ones like titanium and stainless steel)
Get a powertronic on RC then it can rev a thousand or a thousand and half rpm higher than stock . And a aggressive map cam get a bit more power too
Sir is R1 a good start after riding a 150cc bike
For sure bro
Turbo 'Busa or you are wasting your time.
Go for Yamaha r6
Yes we want duke 390 vs ninja 400 on track
Correction @ the ninja already comes with a slipper clutch here in Europe ... is it different in the US ?
No, I have the Ninja 400 in the U.S. and it comes standard with a slipper clutch.
Yes is has a slipper clutch everywhere in the world. In fact, almost every Kawasaki street bike comes with a slipper clutch these days.
Panda Man yes ..in fact yammie probably got it wrong in the review here
No. Ninja does not make slippers in anything under a 600. They're just weak clutch springs
Dude, that track in insanely bumpy.
It would have been interesting to compare them on track after adjusting the suspension.
Also interesting to see them on a decent track.
Lol quickshifter is added on rc too
Sorry to break it for you but it doesn't.(I work at a ktm service centre in India,I know what's going around)
Which city do you work in India?
@@cranky1812 Mumbai
When I can expect next duke 390 update?
Am still confused that do people really get giveaway gifts? 😅😅
Hey Yammie how do you time your laps? What gear do you need for that?
Jeeze dude how much do they charge for a trackday? That's the roughest surface I've ever seen!
That's how you learn... ever seen the isle of mann? Not great conditions
Such a cute riding suit lol dressing up for church like our Lord Rossi
Yammie, with your vids could you write a lil synopsis of the vid, for example this video would have pros/cons of each bike, and your preference of bike, for your lists videos write the actual lists, it would be useful if I can't watch the full video or with sound depending on situation.
Ninja 400 is the faster bike. Chalk it up to rider bias and preference.
When people from India are going to get access for entering these giveaways?
I love the retro vibe in your intros!
Never owned a Kawasaki yet but I think that Kawi will still be running laps when that rc is in the junk yard
Ron Laduke fax
Its true then .....you've never rode a kawasaki 😂 😂
Actually I have ridden Kawasaki bikes but never owned one. I think the first one I road was the first Ninja.1983 Ninja 900 my friend bought when they were first introduced ( one of the fastest bikes available in 1983) the last one I road was A 2015 KLR 650 one of the most durable and respected adventure bikes of all time. I haven’t owned a Kawasaki but wouldn’t hesitate to buy one if it met my needs.
You are wrong
Absolutely correct kawi has a few hiccups but ktm has a bunch more issues
Super indecisive about which one to get….especially after hearing quite a number of reliability related comments from people….can anyone please advise how the 2023 RC390 has been so far regarding reliability?
the little ninja has a slipper clutch, if you forget this what chance does the human race have? Im panic buying toilet rolls tonight
I'm a short dude. 5'5". Which do I choose? I'm honestly looking at a rebel 500..
Proud KTM owner nt just one bt 2 and a grt experience till date..KTM DUKE 200,2K16 N KTM RC390,2K18..😇♥️
Fantastic video, loved it 💪
