Leroy Body Update | Final Design Reveal???

- In this video we went over to Cleetus McFarland's place to have a meeting and also scan the undercarriage of Leroy for aerodynamic purposes. With a great meeting in VR we dialed in everything needed to move forward. Jesse has the design pretty close and was able to go to the next step and get a visual design concept sketched that screams Hell Yeah Brother! The feather version looks absolutely sick. Love it!!!
I think fading from the eagle up front to full stars and stripes from the windshield on back would look pretty good

This is gonna be a big step up for Leroy. I love the exo-cage because it looks mean but The Eagle is on another level.

@@eriklarson9137 I am a huge sand rail and open cage guy so I felt the same at first. At the end of the day tho, it's coming out amazing and will undoubtedly speed it up on track as well as improve chute launches. I'm stoked to see it.

Adding the 'paint job' sold it for me. I was on the fence with the whole thing prior, but now there's no question that I love it.

The Feathers really sold the livery for me good job man, and seeing the simulated airflow was wild in comparison to when leroy had the smoke test in the wind tunnel.

Same. My thoughts when i saw the first video showing the design were that it was too cheesy and too monster truck like for a drag car. After seeing it revised a bit as well as with a livery I am so so so on board with this. Cant wait to see how it turns out.
Even with best intentions a design can go from aggressive and strong to campy cartoon in a hurry

That eagle is badass. I can’t believe he said to remove the feathers off the mid / rear of car. That was one of a kind and amazing.
It'd a bit to much in my opinion
He needs space for sponsors and the like... front design is perfect though.
@@boostn32you can slap sponsor stickers on even if he left the feathers, i think the feathers over the roof were just a bit much, going with black or mullet gray on the roof and deck lid would be more his style i think, or like he said taking the stars and stripes over those areas might look decent too, eagle on the front fading back to full stars and stripes would definitely be on brand for leroy.
The brown isn't flashy enough for cleet

That body is next level. I wasn't sure about the Eagle theme, but after that livery was applied... whoa baby.
I think it’s perfect the way it is. The way body is shaped like an eagle with its wings back along the sides and the beak sticking out past the front end makes it look like it’s going fast af when it’s just sitting there! It reminds me of a hot wheels car that’s half car half eagle! Freakin nailed it. Amazing.

The design you sent was spot on. I can’t imagine changing a single piece of that livery but cleets ideas always seem to work out.

I definitely would have kept the feathers. Looks so sick as an eagle. American flag is a so 🥱 but this was so tastefully done. Leroy is going to fly! Cletus, keep it like this!

The shape of the body is amazing, but when you add the livery/wrap it becomes one of the sickest designs I have ever seen! Just mind blowing stuff guys, great job!

This has been a work in progress for awhile now. He made an attempt on already built body and it wasn’t big enough. This is beautiful

Jackstand is on three RUclips channels now cleets, dr. Tuenemall and jackstand has his own personal channel
James has been kinda doing his own thing lately, he still drives for cleet but he is driving the gray Chevy Camaro for another racer.
Hell yeah! You guys are awesome! I was blown away by your 3d viewing software, just wow. The software we had when I was doing my degree was nowhere near this good. Loving your work. Without you giving away your secrets and getting in the way of your job, I would love to see some videos of the process you go through when designing and building. I understand a lot of your customers will want their designs to remain secret until they are unveiled but I'd love to see more vids like this on your channel.

Awesome! My first thought was a little heavy on the Eagle back & brown roof, before his reaction. But that's 7yrs of watching Cleetus.. Draw inspiration from Mullet and the Carbon Cub and you'll have it nailed!

That hole in the 'hood' area should be made of clear plexi with holes for the turbskis.
