This is the type of kit I used. This fellow actually has more items and steps in his process. The business men back then all wore black shoes where I shined. Two shine cloths were used. Similar to those seen here, they had muslin backing and a soft flannel front. The one more worn was used first, following the brushing. The newer one was used to final buff. As here, the ends were rolled and trapped by four fingers. A pressure squeak was not done, but the cloth was snapped, as here, and a loud pop was made. It was expected that there would be a rhythm to the final buff and pop sounds.
He did a good job, had some machine man like moves. So many ways to shine shoes in Mexico, look forward to more narrative videos, see what products they’re using.
Another great video... I dont what it is but I like the sound when they buff the shoe..... keep the videos coming and stay safe and folks dont forget to order the socks portion of the money is to help the shoe shiner. Thanks...
Time after time these street shiners do NOT remove shoe laces and clean shoe tongues. Are they lazy and do not want to do a complete job. Also no saddle soap? Bad job.
I probably should just shut up but your comment struck me as incredibly silly. These are mobile shiners, they are doing the best they can during a pandemic and providing a service. I’ve paid $15 at an airport for a application of shoe polish and a brush job. No saddle soap, no laces off. Cut the guy some slack. He gets $1.25 usd for this.
Muy bueno que ahora hay explicaciones de los productos usados. Excelente

Some take out the laces, some don't. Some use the sock protectors some don't. It's interesting.
