I could understand if you sat there thinking in silence, but you think out loud, which in turn explains your thought process and the +/- of various moves. There is some calculation between troops and territories... if he has more of both then he definitely gets 2nd

2nd is determined by territories left and troops left... at the end they both had 1 territory left but purple had more troops
