That was me.. what you couldn't see through the fog was blue breaking purple and stacking on me every round. When kylted put 4's in eastern Europe to block our card trade, I knew the game was over.
I was rooting for greens downfall, but I agree with the premise behind some of his moves. You are pretty clearly in Russia and if he can clean behind himself into the orient he can establish a great two point guard. Once you were behind him because of that one territory keeping you from a +8 and just how exceptional his capital is for you to advance too attacking through West Africa first just makes no sense. He had two options. Try to play sneaky and hope he can clean you before you wreck his game, or retreat to his capital and cap stack hoping you will leave him to the end game so he can eak out a higher placement. Personally I play for the win especially with how painfully boring a cap stack game is and how unlikely it is you would have let him live or that he would be able to survive with what your troop generation was. All that being said, watching green get destrpyed and the ridiculous snowball that ensues is very satisfying.
This was a complete snowball. Those Russia Blizzards were insane. Then just leveraging that into a 1 point orient and then just steamrolling from there.
if that was my 4 v 2 against green to secure the pocket it wouldn't have been a video Kylted posted. That 4 v 2 was the pivotal moment in the game. All green had to do was put an extra 1 troop in there in his zeal to build a big stack to take you out of orient. I mean he knew you were in Russia, you popped him out of georgia.

Got a sweet honeypot with blizzards and caps that gave me a 1 point hold Spain, Italy, West Africa, all the way to where Greece connects with Egypt. Was able to use that and negotiation to snowball to victory. You taught me to ramdingle!
