Rather than the Video Assist, I use the same setup to record through the Streaming Bridge to a BMD Hyperdeck Studio Mini. I can rename the files on the Hyperdeck using FileZilla so they are reorganized in the order I want them. Then I can play them back directly from the ATEM Software Control which has the Hyperdeck show up as a Media source. Or, I can use a Stream Deck running Companion to just click through the clips to play them back. We use this to record portions of a church service and inject them into the livestream during a live service that occurs a few days after the recording.
Yes if you are using the USB-C to go from Mini Pro to laptop then zoom. This allowed you to use the network plug to send signal via the streaming bridge to an external record device.
@@redbearddoes1720 If you connect the Laptop/Zoom device to the Stream Bridge (via USB) will the laptop recognize it as a "Webcam"? The reason for this configuration would be the Pro ISO where the ATEM records all inputs and the program view vs, only recording the program view from the Stream Bridge.
Hi and thank you for this video! You can also simply connect an ethernet cable directly from the Atem Mini pro to the Streaming Bridge without going in to a network switcher or a router. And if you'll press "On air" with this seput it will show you the PGM in the external monitor connected via hdmi or sdi. Can you try and confirm that? Thank you!!
Yes, you don’t need to go through a network. You can just 1 cable it, you still need to use the software and import the settings into your Mini. But yes you can just use 1 cable
@@redbearddoes1720 If the Streaming Bridge is connected to the same network as the ATEM, you don’t need to import any settings. The Streaming Brigde will show up in the output list automatically 😀 In order to stream to it from outside, you might need to configure your router, to open the port. It works like a charm, less than half a second delay 😀
Can you use the Streaming Bridge to do this while still streaming directly from the Atem Mini Pro to RUclips or whatever platform you are streaming to? Or does it somehow block the stream?
I don’t think you can. When you set up the Mini and select the drop down menu to the streaming bridge your selecting the bridge and not RUclips. You do still have the USB-C to the computer which would allow you to send it to ReStream or vmix or something similar
Short enough that if you are sending it to a overflow room or a record deck and all of the audio is imbedded first. Yea sending it to a zoom call would be very annoying
Just to clarify, Nginx is open source, so 0. Also, you can do whatever the bridge does for much less, saying that, I'm lazy and bought the bridge. Lol...

Just to be clear -- would this setup help running a zoom session + recording with the ATEM mini pro?

I think the stream bridge usb connection to the computer is ONLY for configuration and setting purposes
nReach you right. The HDMI out on the streaming bridge needs to run to either a capture card then to computer OR to another Atem mini to computer.

How much latency does the path through the Streaming Bridge add?
From what I saw about a full second
@@redbearddoes1720 So long enough that you wouldn't want to use this setup for a Zoom call, but short enough if you're broadcasting.

@@redbearddoes1720 Could you use a Ethernet to USB C to get a video feed.
@@PortlandEventFilmsI don't think that will decode the signal properly
SO the connections you have working are multiview out, USB-C, and the Streaming Bridge? You are using USB-C to actually send the stream right?
I’m using the USB-C to send program to Vmix or OBS and have that stream it after I add other Graphics and videos as needed
... Did one of your comics on the wall get you demonetized or something?
No I just made a choice to blur it out and after I filmed I switched it with a different one.
I’m not eligible for monitization yet.
@@redbearddoes1720 Ahh cool love the Spawn Cover, That was one of my favorite covers from Spawn growing up!
