I'll be getting one to use as a 3rd output for my bridge. I have the ISO model so I intend to use the USB-C connection to record to an SSD, the HDMI out for multiview and the ethernet > streaming bridge to send the program to a computer to stream.
@@hishamzireeni8932 This, Hisham, is a very good question. After the initial use and testing it seems like a 1:1 connection, i.e. one AMP to one ASB connection, not like what the manual says to multiple ASBs. Let me try to find out more. Thanks for the comment!
@@StephLeeTech I'd be interested in seeing the latency differences between the outputs being directly connected via usb-c/HDMI and through the streaming bridge. I installed an rtmp server on my windows machine that I was streaming from to try to accomplish this but ran into some issues with latency.
Please note that in this video you say one would need a streaming bridge in each conference room. You forgot to mention that the atem can only stream to 1 bridge at the time. So you CANNOT stream to two or more streaming bridges from 1 atem mini pro. The streaming bridge is meant for 1 atem as is the atem meant to sent to 1 streaming bridge.
When I connect my ATEM Streaming Bridge to my computer, it does not appear in ATEM Setup... but when I follow the first step of this video (the easy way to rt it up) it all works. Any suggestions?
Hypothetically speaking, I could send one to my sister, and then be able to stream, in high quality, the LFC matches that I can get here and she can't get there... 😁

Hi Plavalna! As long as your output as a HDMI or SDI connection and if both the Streaming Bridge and AMP are connected to the same network, I don't see why you can't do that :)
Ok my question is I have atem mini pro connected to a Imac, but I want to screen my output from OBS or the media player on the atem? I have 1 ptz cam in input 1, laptop in input 2, 3&4 don’t have anything connected. The hdmi out is connect to a external pc monitor to multiview, webcam is connected to the iMac, and the Ethernet. I have another external monitor to the iMac as an extended display. I have an atem streaming bridge to program out the source end of the hdmi to streaming bridge and the other end of the hdmi which is display end connect to 1x8 splitter which is plugged in the input slot and the 4 TVs plugged in the output part of the splitter. So I’m on my iMac working OBS so I’m try to output what have develop on the program side of OBS, I right click to full screen projected it on extended screen not show up on the TVs. Please tell me what I did wrong or how can I get the OBS input on the TVs at my church?? 😩😩😩😩
My Streaming Bridge works fine for about an hour or so, and then it fails. It won't start streaming again unless I reboot it. I have to reboot multiple times a day. I use the lowest bitrate. Other streaming boxes will retry picking streams back up, if the internet connection lags or fails temporarily. The ATEM seems to just give up. Any ideas on how to fix?

Currently, duplicating HDMI before it comes into the ATEM but after watching your video, it looks like I can duplicate it with the Streaming Bridge! @@StephLeeTech It worked great! I connected an ethernet cable from the Pro to the Streaming Bridge and it worked flawlessly. Interestingly, the speed ranged from 3Mbps to 5Mbps between the two.
So id like to know, once you have paIred the Stream Bridge to the ATEM, would you need to redo the XML file again if you switched off and started again ? Ie a remote shoot on a Monday, and another shoot with the same setup on a Tuesday .
Hey thanks for watching. I've not tried that but from what I know, the XML file does not change with your rebooting of the system. The best way is to test it yourself during the weekend, that's what I do for every livestream job.
Love your channel. But hate this product. Just got it. plugged it all in and it does not send signal. I have the ethernet set up and connected. But no signal comes out of bridge. I am not surprise as black magic products tend to be buggy. but still frustrating.
Kinda bummed you can't have 2 stream outputs at once. I understand why, but it would make my life sooooo much easier if i could stream to both RUclips and the streaming bridge at the same time with the ATEM Mini pro instead of choosing one or the other...

Totally agree! I was just asked to design a system for a church where the ATEM would have been the perfect solution if it had 2 outputs - one preview and one program - or if the bridge also allowed streaming to a CDN at the same time. Sadly neither are true and had to go with a Roland switcher and external encoder. Black magic please make an ATEM with multiple outputs - you shit yourselves in the foot with one output. Would gladly pay more for this functionality.

hey Steph thanks for the great breakdown I'm considering getting the AMP iso and a streaming bridge to do a livestream discussion show I see some people asking one version of this question, but here is another wrinkle: Could I receive a stream from a guest's AMP as an input to my AMP, and restream the show simultaneously via by AMP ethernet output? they wouldn't need a bridge, right? I would just send them that .xml file?
I understand that, but while streaming to Vimeo I want to send the stream output to another room on site without having to log into Vimeo in that other room. Today I am using a different service and different streaming device, the streaming device lets me send the output to another hdmi cable. The mini pro doesn’t give you this option as the output hdmi is the multi view which is important to have but no hdmi “show” output is available.

Hi Klinsman, it means that you are streaming at a higher quality than what your bandwidth can support. I would advise you to stream at "normal" or "low" latency.

@@judeobiefule2500 with 10mbps upload you need to make some additions to the streaming.xml file even streaming low is not sufficient. Streaming least 4000000 128000 2 2500000 128000 2 I took the back up of streaming.xml file and renamed it. Now open the file and under find RUclips and paste the above code. I did this and it works fine for me on a 10mbps upload. If you find it difficult use obs to stream on a low Bitrate (system cpu usage might go high)

Hi Charisma! Thank you for watching. Unfortunately after 2 weeks of using the ASB, I realised there are actually quite a few limitations to it, one of which you have faced. You are trying to 1. record 2. streaming bridge 3. connect to laptop 4. connecting to streaming platform but the fact is we only have 3 ports (usb on AMP, usb on ASB and ethernet on AMP). As for your question, I have not tested it but I believe the answer would be the same logic as using a USB splitter to try to record and stream using the AMP usb port. Because one is outgoing and one is incoming, it won't work. I believe it is the same for the ethernet switch. But you can test and let me know!
@@StephLeeTech I found an answer and have used it successfully for 3 events! I come out of the ethernet port on the AMP into an ethernet switch. I then go out of the ethernet switch into 1) my computer and 2) the streaming bridge. This means the ethernet port controls my AMP software AND it sends out the program output! It works GREAT! I then have my HDMI for multi-view and then my usb for recording directly to a hard drive. It's perfect. Problem solved :)
best practice I think is to always have a switch (or router) around and connect your computer, atem mini pro (iso)(extreme) and streaming bridge all to the switch. Then you can control the atem and the bridge via the software on your PC and chose to use the atem to stream to youtube(or another streaming service) OR to the bridge. You then can also use the bridge as a receiver of the signal from another (via internet) atem. However when using the bridge via internet then you need some additional knowledge about adresses and port forwarding. Without network knowledge you can use the bridge only local. I have never ever used usb to connect my pc atem software to the atem or to the bridge. I always use the UTP connection
No - the ATEM mini pro and iso can only stream to one location at a time - the bridge or to a CDN. Cannot stream to two locations at the same time sadly.

Great explanations but you can add that the Streaming Bridge also works with BM Web Presenter HD just like it works with the ATEM Mini Pro.

Hi Joe streaming from the Atem Mini does not require a streaming bridge. You can do that directly via the Software control panel.
