i’ve been struggling quite a bit with hair you’re stylized skin tutorial helped a lot so after i’m able to watch this i might just be able to finish sketching
Ooh! I'm so glad the skin tutorial helped! I hope this helps you finish sketching!
@@ChrissaBug youre a genius. I was already implementing some of these techniques but your break down help me to figure out what I've been missing and where I've been going wrong with how I approach not just hair, but also shading.
@@ChrissaBug it did help the thing that i liked the most was when you added that fade to the hair at the end i really like that effect but never knew how to do it properly i know that wasn’t the point of this video BUT IM GONNA USE THAT FOR SUREE
THIS IS PERFECT IM JUST ABOUT TO RENDER/ still work on my hair in my illustration that I’m working on !
Yayy! I hope this helps!
This was super helpful! I’ve been struggling a bit with shading recently and this gave me a lot of good ideas 💜
I'm super new to digital art (I've been doing traditional all my life, and only just got a drawing tablet last month), and even though I don't use clip studio paint, this helped a ton!
Thank you so much!! (Your skin tutorial was also a life saviour, I had/have no idea when to make other layers and what to put on them and you're helping a lot!!)
I really appreciate you making these types of videos of going through your painting process. There's always something to be learned from other artists and I love using these to apply new techniques to my art. Thank you.
I've been mostly sketching but now I feel ready to venture into digital art. Thanks for this tutorial Chrissa!
You're the sweetest for sharing this for free and I LOVE your little giggle you do 🤣
Gosh I'm obsessed
Your lineart brush is so beautiful also!
I just discovered your channel, and it's been so helpful and inspiring! You're not only a great artist, but also a great teacher explaining your thoughts behind everything you do, thank you for making these videos! 💖
I've struggled so much with trying to draw hair and making it look appealing, this tutorial helped so much. Thank you!!
I had to come back and say thank you so much. I always had issues with shading and I watched all your videos on that and it really really helped. Now it takes me a way shorter amount of time to render my artwork than it used to. The hard light mode layer seems so simple but is such a game changer.
super helpful tutorial! and those 3D models in CSP are seriously amazing-- such a cool feature
This was a very helpful tutorial; I struggle so much with drawing hair, but mostly with the coloring process. I'm going to practice this...thanks for sharing 🙂
I've been struggling since yesterday.... in coloring hair.. Glad to see an easy to follow tutorial like this
This is so beautiful! How have i not heard of this channel
Been struggling with this for some time, but finally I understood the highlights, thanks.
'Swooshy Line' i like it.
my teacher called it "S Line" which is boring.
Also thanks for the tutorial, it help me even more :D
your explaining it pretty well more than other youtubers .i realy love your channel
Awesome tutorial!
this was a great tutorial, i always struggle making shine effects ect on my hair but theres some awsome tips here!
This is the most beautiful tutorial I've seen in my life😭❤️
Great tutorial. Took note in things that sometimes I struggle. Thanks a lot!
i personally like to color pick the skin, then add a gradient near the bangs (becase bangs in real life are semi-transparent if you understand what im trying to say?) then new layer and add strands on top of that gradient.
This was very helpful, thank you 🎉
Thank you so much for this!! You're a huge inspiration for my art and your tutorials help me a tooon, I was hoping you would make one for hair one day
Thank you for this tutorial. I had been trying desperately to find how to do the effects that this tutorial teaches.

You are legit life saver❤ Danke🙏
thank you so much for this tutorial! im still in the very beginnings of learning everything basically from scratch. Im trying to get the basics down and im not entirely sure if im "ready" for coloring just yet. but this tutorial has also kind of helped with grasping concepts of hair as well. i gave a like and subbed, im about to watch some more of your tutorials now ^^
Also, I would absolutely love to see more of these tutorials by you! :D
Thank you for this video!❤
ohh yess omg 😍 your stylized skin tutorial helped me a lot and i was wondering if you are going to make a stylized hair tutorial and now here it is 😱 thank you so much for this 😭
My pleasure! I'm so glad the stylized skin tutorial was helpful!!
We have been lacking in tutorials for clip studio paint for a while at least good ones thanks for it :D
so helpful
I would like to say, I RARELY ever like a video on RUclips. I know its probably wrong and it does help the creators but for some reason I'm just too lazy to hit it I guess? Anyhow. I am currently doing my first ever commission for digital art. Not only did this video allow my to do a professional looking piece, but it let me come out of my shell of sketching. I rarely ever finished my art (actual linework and coloring), and out of all the drawings I've done for around 11 years, the amount that I have actually colored in is probably under 10. This is my FIRST time ever coloring in hair, and your video has helped me make a piece I am proud to put my name on. Thank you so much.
Thank you ^^
Thank you need this like I actually need this
Tnx for tut. Trying with friends from Voicely to repeat. Hope it goes well :3
Se un poco de inglés básico pero aun así logré entender tu explicación muy bien! Me sirvió más que varios videos que ya había visto en el idioma español, eso se me hace un poco gracioso ¡¡ I really liked your video!!^^💖
Love your art, amazing video explanation this was super helpful as a beginner artist who struggles with basically everything! just a an idea maybe you could try doing art using your fingers for those who don't have a graphic tablet yet.
I just started using Clip Studio Paint, and it is such an adjustment for me! I'm not used to digital art, I can sketch digitally no problem, but when it comes to full blown artwork I'm struggling!! Lol. Any tips for using Clip Studio on a Samsung tablet?
THANK YOU!!! YOU MADE EVERYTHING SO EASY.. THANK U SO MUCH I LOVE IT... I WAS STRUGGLING SO MUCH with drawing hair :ccc
Thank you 😊
Aw yiss just the perfect timing.
Your brush is sooo smooth! May I ask what it is/ what the asset ID is if possible ?
thank you so much for this tutorial! (i love your art style so much :D) it's helped me a lot! (also you have a new subscriber >:D)
I love your style! What brush do you use for lineart?
I like your video but I’m specifically interested in the coloring part. I’d love to see a video on how to create a color palette after we pick a base color. For example, if the base color for the hair is a blue, how should we color-pick the rest of the colors in the palette that will represent the shadows & highlights?
I don’t want to just guess what might look good. I want to create color swatches beforehand that will make sense with the base color that I’ve chosen.
Saw this video on tiktok and ran to RUclips to subscribe yo your channel. Your videos are seriously helpful
I don't draw very well digitally but this video helps me a lot thank you
thank u :))
Your drawing is so good! This tutorial is so helpful! But i think i will test this out using clip studio paint, i'm not used to use clip studio paint and i'm looking for more apps with good quality to draw with! I'm new to your channel and i would like to see more drawing tutorials! You might even get a new sub! I hope my drawing ends up as good as yours! :)
good video thank you for the tips :)
apologies if you answered this, but what brushes do you like to use in clip studio? i love your art! :)
What pen/brush did you use for sketch?thanks
Edited: @5:33 i've followed the instructions you show in the video, but when i want to add a "very soft gradient" with lighter colors with a transparent lock layer (in base layer), i get a darker color than i want, so what should i do? If i want to keep the color lighter, i have to edit on a different layer above the base layer with clip layer below, thanks ❤️
Nice video!
One question
What brush pack do you use?
Teaching me how to draw AND how to use the program.. my body.. my sole!
I see you are a man of culture as well
OHHHH!!! I LOVE THIS!!! Damn, you draw very well! Keep it up! ❤ By the way, a question, could you do a tutorial on how to draw eyes of women and men?? 🥺
Ily
Good
do you have links to the brushes that you used in this video?
Hi! What pen/brush did you use for the sketch?? Thank you
A problem is not in understanding an application problem that evaporates all information 😂😂
yo so your art is amazing i love it ^^ but sins where talking about hear?
your hear is amazing as well ^^ what color is that btw ?
ps my englich is bad sry :/
❤️❤️❤️❤️
woooooow
Any way we can get this brush 😍😍
Good tutorial, I like it. Can you make tutorial for ibisPaint X?
Cool
Your art is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Is that okay for you to recommend us the brushes you used to draw the outline of the characters? The texture looks so great!
She uses the Frenden brush pack, I just bought it today haha! Here's the link for them frenden.gumroad.com/l/clipstudio
@@jayleekayt8222 Thank you so much!!
@@michellwang770 of course!!! 💕
❤❤❤❤
Is this type of style semi realism pertaining to the hair
Also I don't do digital art and wanted to know if this can be applied for traditional art
Could you please do a tutorial on how to know where to put your shapes so it looks natural? I’ve really struggled with this. I understand not to draw individual strands but when I start to place my hair chunks it looks unnatural.
It won't let me use the 3d models, what version of clipart do you have?
What brushes do you use?
Can you please do this for short hair too? Like very short for example for men
There is something about you that reminds me of an elf or pixie 🧚♀ 🧚♀
Hii! Actually one of the most helpfull tutorial about hair in clipstudio hehe, which is the pencil or brush that are u using in this tuturial for the linart?? I was looking for one like that
Glad it was helpful! I tend to go back and forth between a brush called teague's folly rng, which is available in the Frenden Brush pack. And my own custom brush, which is available on my patreon.
@@ChrissaBug Okayy! Thankss
