How to Draw Hair in Clip Studio Paint | Digital Drawing Hair Tutorial

- Hello! In today's video I talk about how to draw hair in Clip Studio Paint. It is beginner friendly and has helped me in drawing hair. Drawing hair is one of the most challenging part in digital illustration and through trials and errors, I come up with some easy tips to draw hair digitally. I'm drawing this in Clip Studio Paint, but feel free to use other drawing softwares like Photoshop, Medibang Paint, SAI and IbisPaint.
However, there are some tools that is only included in Clip Studio Paint, such as the brushes in the Asset Store.
This tutorial may not work on every art styles, but it works for my style which is semi realistic/semi realism mixed with anime. So, if there are other art tips you can think of, please let me know in the comments!

This must be very hypocritical of me considering I just commented on another video saying I couldn't find a good brush but... remember that brushes, specially the hair ones, at least in my experience, can't do magic. You can't just grab a brush and slap some lines on there hoping it'll look good. Take my advice.
Other than that, this human right here has a bright future with art. I love the videos, please keep it up!! ♥♥♥
You're right! A custom brush doesn't guarantee the quality of the art. But I find it easier to use custom brush instead of default round brushes, especially for hair. Thank you so much for your input! 🥰

What brush in ibis paint x is good for hair ?
I always use Pencil Graphite to paint hair, skin, etc. in ibispaint 😊
How do you find the root and shape in fluffy hair though?
That's something u have to figure out urself actually. The root of the hair is basically where the hair starts coming from. Think of it like a fountain. The water comes from a certain point. The hair is just like that. Use references for finding the root of the hair and break them down into shapes. But at the end of the day u have to practice more and more to master this skill. Hope it helps :)))
