- Desillusion magazine, supported by Nike are proud to present their latest video “This is Eric Koston”, a video portrait that pays tribute to the Legendary street skateboarder, Eric Koston.
As one traces the evolution of modern street skating from its earliest foundation to the unbelievable heights to which it has risen, Eric Koston has served as a constant innovator each step of the way. Since turning pro in 1992, Eric Koston has remained unfadeable in a cut-throat contest capacity as well as on the raw street level that prides itself in taking no shorts, all while never seeming to take any of it all that seriously. The wheels are always in motion, even when off his board, as Koston has helped advance innovation in skateboarding through his dedicated approach to footwear design (his creativity has yielded several classic skate shoes already) and by co-founding The Berrics with long-time pal and former roommate, Steve Berra.

Here's hoping that Eric Koston's body keeps feeling fine for a good long while! I know his prime days are behind him, his competitive days are behind him, but it is a true joy to see him skate still. He not only does great tricks, but he does them so smooth and well with an old school flair.
The music and cinematography make the first half of the video feel like a serial killer documentary.
this such a beautiful video, rewatching it so many years later, this one plus the chet childres one; reminds me to think of when i started skated with all the homies, and where they all ended up, some i have no clue, but the skating was real for real. thanks for this.
Just like Eric koston said at first all yu think about is I wanna go skate I wanna go skate I wanna go skate that's what stays in my head constantly, even when I'm skateboarding but mostly when in dreaming.
I love the way he talks I bet if Eric koston came to my town in morristown tennessee he would help my town grow in skateboarding cause I swear we need it bad to much crazy stuff going on in my town and its drove me crazy a little bit I just hope one my town gets better cause I love morristown Tennessee it's my home sweet home.
I hope one day I meant to say

Who am I? I’m Eric KOSTONE.
Amazing video, it's inspiring. I think it is cliché to say, but this video motivates me to go outside and skate. It is just amazing.
Amazing!!
AWESOME!!!!!!
Why did they edit Koston speaking at the beginning to have like sheckler level pauses between words?
Koston can do anything at all on a board, all rail and flip tricks !
What?
he is so good :O
better than ride channel
That's Cool. Smfh
everyone hates on koston because he got threw a bone with skateboarding. i fuckin love the guy an think he will be the next gonz for the new wave of skateboarders.
does any one know the name of the song at 5:00?
theres some songs listed in the description.
Good video
That's just like me skateboarding across my home town bridge though and looking down under me at all thu vehicles fly by me while I think to myself it's just crazy seeing all these vehicles out driving all day. While they are just in thu way of me cause I'm skateboarding to my skatepark that's across my bridge all thu time. And I'm learning something when I skate unlike all these vehicles I see.
The ending sequence belongs in a movie ending.
How old is koston?
I am pretty sure 39
Do Guy Mariano one, the real deal of street skating and truly the greatest of all
almost made a grow man cry.
I grew up admiring Erik Koston. I felt the same as he explained how, living at 37, could be all that he wished for. Basically saying, if he could, he would relive it again. I would, too.
you forgot LEGEND
Chomp on That
Espanish plis
i mean the video is pretty ptless...... life is life reality is reality wut did we learn from that video? nothing but NIKE SB's alternative ads.
+Frank The Tank watch jim greco's new vid. everyone is so afraid of pointing out this total pretentiousness in skating now, the corps can make the most basic shit they want
+Frank The Tank My mom always said when I told her I was bored: "Bored people are boring people". Skateboarding, like this video is what you make of it, I conclude that you must be in fact, pointless.
Ker Plunk
Nice try kid, my Granpa trolls better than you.
life is what you make of it. skateboarding is what you make of it. no need to be a follower.
Koston alwys has been and alwys will be the man BUT this shit was boring
Most over rated skater..
