The big guy is Ray Stevenson. He was in the first three “Thor” films, he was in “Rome,” he was in Lexi Alexander’s truly gnarly “Punisher: War Zone,” he was in “Ahsoka” and “Vikings” and “Black Sails.” He was a true badass. RIP.

There are some real life allegories. The Ukraine invasion reminded me of this movie. Putin was at the peak of his powers. Had infiltrated all of Europe (secretly) and was about to get them hooked on oil and gas long term. Got away with the invasion of Georgia, Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.
But, the guy wasn't satisfied. Needed more power. And, even if it is a victory for Putin, it's a pyrrhic one one. I'm hopefully, it will lead to his downfall like the Gary Oldham character.

The idea is a mix of him always responding after shots, so he hears where they shoot then shoots after, and that essentially he’s being guided and protected by god, like when the first shot misses and the guy is confused how he missed.

I wish this scene wasn't in the movie because does push the suspension of belief a little too far. I liked it when he was a zaitochi or daredevil character, relying on senses to get him through, but to be able to fire a gun and hit someone with accuracy based on sound is something that wouldn't pass the first 30 seconds of mythbusters. And if he was literally relying on god to pull him through a gunfight i like the movie even less, because if god is helping you get to the end of the movie, why am i watching?
