  • A short history of the colonization of the Dutch Caribbean and an overview of their economies in the 17th and 18th centuries. Continuation of my attempt to bring to light some overlooked areas of history for fun.

    A Dutch Creole called the Negro Dutch now extinct was also spoken in the northern islands.

    The Dutch owned also the present days British Virgin Islands, Tobago and the Aves island.
