    Good morning! I also have a similar air fryer. I've had it for months, but I haven't tried the air fryer out for fear that I would destroy perfectly good food! Lol.But you made it seem pretty easy, and your chicken looked delicious! Thank you! I am a new sub, and I am staying! 😊

      Think of it like super convection, cooks quicker and makes things crisper. Give it a shot!

    That is a good point to use an old empty bottle for homemade spice blends. Try coating the grill with oil to keep from sticking and add aluminum foil to the under tray to save on scrubbing. You need to do the review and uses of the new Breville Air Fryer.

    • @homecookbasics
      @homecookbasics  2 года назад +1

      Yes I do need to make that video! I dont add aluminum foil to any of these ovens, I think they get to hot for aluminum foil.

    The KEY advice in video: "watch your chicken". Pull at 160ºF. Let carry over take it to 165ºF or so. Much more than this you have a shoe sole.Dark meat pieces not so fussy and can go higher.

    • @homecookbasics
      @homecookbasics  Год назад

      Absolutely, and great advice on the dark meat!

      Nice job! Here is a Tip: put olive oil in a small bowl and add your seasoning blend and stir. The olive oil will bloom your seasoning. Believe me, it will taste even better. Try it, you'll like it!

    The best way to do this is to put your chicken breast between two pieces of parchment paper and use a meat tenderizer to flatten the chicken to do however thick you want it.

  • @donhgr

    This is why you pound the chicken pieces even. They look cook and taste better when cooked the same.

      I am not a fan of pounding chicken with a mallet.

    Please forgive my critique I'm saying this to help not hurt but I cannot watch food videos where I am expected to watch a person measure each spice and watch the person cut meat etc. Get to the point. Slice the chicken - 1 tsp of this -1 tsp of that - tell me what temp and how long and GET TO THE POINT. (sorry just sayin') Example of this - If you need one chopped onion in a recipe say so. Don't take 2 mins chopping that onion on a video. If we cook, we know how to chop an onion. It is a good recipe but the instructions are redundant and boring.

    Too much nonsense. This could have been a 3 minute video.
