- In this video, I show you how I installed my windowed piston, reed valve, and the PWK carb. the carb still needs a bit of tuning, but I got it reliable for the most part. there are not many upgrades that I want to do to this bike. maybe just finish up the lights and that's about it. let me know if there is any other upgrades you would like to see!!

Such a clean looking build. But only through trial and error them jets shall see Perfection. Thanks for the ride.
24:41 you have your jets backwards. The long jets are the pilot jets, the others are main jets
Many thanks for your video. I want the same carburator (21mm) for my 75cc Racing Kit. I needed some reference about the jets to start tuning. The best is to start from rich and step by step go down to the right mix. So, you gave me some jet calibers to start with, because like i said, i don´t want to tune a carb starting from too lean. Thanks a lot dude, cheers from Barcelona.
Very nice explanation brother. Thanks for sharing.⚙️🚲⚙️💥👍💯👊
Sounds great
Your base gasket looks like it is in backwards this will really hurt your top speed because you won’t notice it on the low end but when your motor needs all the air it can get, gasket matching can make all the difference
Yeah, I noticed while editing this video🤦♂️ she’s all fixed, but has been sitting for a little bit need to get out and ride. Weather has been great now days.
It is
@@barriosbuilds7688 you should paint some of the covers on the engine red it would make your air filter look better. I have my engine painted red and black. I have a red gas tank, red cables,a red fuel line, red fuel filter and red air filter but black exhaust and a black ported cylinder. Oh I have my sprocket painted red too. It looks pretty cool and it's easy and cheap
Was gonna comment that too
nice build on your bike it cruzes nice
This is 100% the most painful 2 stroke carb video I've ever watched.
I truly hope you've actually learned a few things since you made this video. Surprisingly, the bike ran great after you butchered the build. 😂 Hey man...theres absolutely no shame in trying and learning. Much respect. It was definitely entertaining! 😂 Keep it up. One day you'll be a master tuner. 👍
Don't be so hard on him man lol we aren't all internet professionals. wink wink keyboard warrior professionals I like his videos i have a few bikes man you learn a little from everyone
@BroianTurdicles
Yeah dude. I'm just busting his balls.
He did a good job. The video was entertaining at least!! 😆
Perfect ratio
Also, you can open up the gap just a bit of your spark plug a little bit more. And it should help with it bogging out...
It bogs because of the air flow. Is a big carburetor for this motor. Best size is 21 mm carburetor with 110 main and 35 pilot
It’s different for everyone. Especially at different sea levels.
What is your elevation Barrios
Whats good pilot and main for 3k ft above sea level?
Could you link me to the right jet kit for this carb? Can’t find the right PWK 21mm carb Jets
Actually I watched further and noticed you did add a Base gasket only problem is you installed it backwards also head bolt torque specs are 12-13 ft lbs also if that's a pk80 with the long road you need the high hole window piston not the low hole piston that you have as it will hit your head. Btw I like the 21 mm pwk carb and that Red Nibbi air filter that you installed.
Yes, it was fixed literally right after i uploaded the video. Lol dumb mistake. Thanks for torque specs tho!
were did you get the carb set up at or is there a kit
what mm was the intake on the reed valve assembly?
From my understanding before you start modding an engine you need to fully break it in with the stock parts now I could be wrong
Definitely wrong
12-13 ft lb. hard to find a wrench that low. There is an inch pound conversion but IDK of the top of my head.
12 is 144 inch pounds just do the number times 12
Just seeing this. but you need to put that base gasket on right and the head bolts torque spec's are 10 to 13 foot pounds.
Almost looked like you bought a low low hole piston, for a short(38mm) stroke, and couldn't tell which one came out.
The acorn nuts that secures the cylinder head should be torqued to 20 ft. lbs.
How did you connect the carb to the reed valve if they’re different sizes?
Tightened the Jesus out of the hose clamps lol. It worked🤷♂️
@@barriosbuilds7688 does it still work?
@@Potato37184 lol I blew the motor up, it was stupid fast lol. Now I just run the stock carb. It’s plenty for cruising around.
@@barriosbuilds7688 it blew up because of a carb?
@@barriosbuilds7688 i mean, does it seal good if i just thighten these clamps up
Hey what reed valve is that? Also size of the intake adapter?
Found it on Amazon as a kit, Miaowa is the name of the seller. And I believe it’s just a universal one so it should fit all jugs. The holes on the reed and gasket are widened so it should be able to fit multiple jugs… the kit also comes with 32 and 40mm intake adapters. I used the 40mm one, and the carb came with a rubber adapter and I just used a hose clamp to connect the two.
Where did you get the carb?
Amazon special, but I believe the listing is no longer available. But you should be able to find a similar one. Pretty common carb.
The torque rating on the head bolts should be 120 inch pounds. Or between 10-12 ft-lbs
Is that 10ft-lbs?
@@Eduardo_Espinoza Yes it is, I find it easier to use a 1/4 inch Torque Wrench which is in Inch Lbs rather than FT-LBS
youre confusing the pilot and main jets. pilots are the long jets with lower numbers
10-12 foot lbs torque
Head bolts specs: 10ft lbs
port work Coat your gaskets with permatex. We all have brought that wrong piston.........
You put your base gasket on backwards
Really? First time doing it. I ordered a new head, so when I install that I’ll put a new one the right direction 🤦♂️
@@barriosbuilds7688 Yeah, I noticed that, the base gasket didn't even match the port, on backwards . Also head gasket not copper, but brass. Bikeberry says 5 foot pounds for the head. You can go up to like 12, but that is kinda too much. You seem kind of spaced, you should be more focused and pay attention to every detail. You should cover the crank case hole with some stuffing like a sock, rag, to catch anything from dropping down into the crankcase.
@@boydjensen3161 I’m just documenting my process, learning as I go. I’m not as knowledgeable as some of the other people in this hobby. Just trying to make a source of entertainment. But thanks for your feedback, these are some great points!
Ur gasket was wrong way round lol
Yep I know🤦♂️ was in a rush…
Base gasket was backwards
Torque to 10
10footpounds
8:15 the piston is not the same one the window piston is low hole and you pistin in the motor is the hole in the middle
How the hell does a square peg on the Reed valve go into a round hole on the motor.. how does that work and seal
I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT THAT IS NOT A SFE CHAIN TENSIONER BECAUSE IT CAN GET IN YOUR WHEEL.I WOULD RECOMMEND A TENSIONER THAT MOUNTS TO THE ENGINE.
Ya ya ya, I’m lazy. I have one on order, and actually a few in my junk box just need to install😅
I've been running a110&42 jets with no problems. I am at a high elevation thu.
Your base gasket is on backwards
Ya changed it right after the video was posted
Are you getting the pilots and main jets confused 🤔 the main should be the larger one
Yep I did lol
it pains me. your base gasket is backwards!!!and copper is not brass looking?
Yes, gasket has been fixed a long time ago. Got that many times. Didn’t mess anything up. Was a simple mistake, literally fixed right after the video… and thought I said copper, I knew it’s copper just don’t know why brass came out.
SEVEN HOURS LATER
And a couple of joints... and a few beers...
Paid by the hour lol
You forgot to add a Base gasket not good
Just letting you know your carburetor's not going to be good until you drill it out need to find some videos about how to drill out that carburetor cuz it can't get the sufficient amount of gas and it's only dribbling in there you need to drill it out and you'll notice a hell of a difference
On the pkw? I want to see this video...
When I drop the bowl on mine without shutting gas off first ,well its like she is trying give me a golden shower wit gas. So I gotta set flot position every time I tilt the hole setup different 😂
@@williammclain2528I think it was Smolik Performance made that video.
@@awakenotwoke2643it was zedamotorsports and they are wrong
The Reed valve looks a lot wider than the round hole on the exhaust of the motor anyways
I don't see how that rebound goes on that motor.. I just don't see how
