Happy Anniversary Tim! You’ve really been doing this quite a while now. It truly shows through in your videos and resulting ties too. Always great seeing a new creation. Thanks for sharing the years of shared passion for the craft.
Man, that tip about putting wax on the thread before doing wraps to create the head is so helpful. I have never heard of that solution and as always am thankful for the little tips you narrate while you tie your patterns! Thanks for all you do and good luck this winter out on the water!
It's so nice to see a new video after a long time. Please upload videos more often. I definitely have to try tying a Black and Blue Bugger. I noticed the hackling technique in the video reflects some recent trends. Thank you!"
"Recent trends"?? Many classic spey flies have been hackled head-to-tail like that probably since the 19th century. And deer-hair-bodied salmon dry flies have been palmered that way since the advent of the bomber/bug style in the 1960's. [Personally, I only hackle tail-to-head ...but that's purely out of superstition.]
@@timapple6586 Haha... When I mentioned recent trends, I was referring to leaving one side bare before wrapping the hackle and the new Christmas tree style of finishing the ends. Thanks for the great info... much appreciated!"
Hi Tim, I have tied some awesome looking flies because of the precision videos you produce. Your attention to detail is what makes the difference. Thank you so much. Quick question for you regarding the Black and Blue Bugger: Is there a difference between using pine squirrel zonker and rabbit zonker? Thanks again.

Great video Tim! Could you do a rio bandito next?
Nice video. I saw this fly in "Fly Tyer" magazine and this video helps with the tying techniques. Thanks, Tim.
He’s back!!🎉

That's some beautiful hackle there.
What happened to Tie-offs. Best show ever

My toxic trait is that I would tie this on a 2/0 hook with estaz instead of chenille and use it to catch largemouth.
Embrace that toxic trait. But, use a rabbit zonker strip rather than pine squirrel.

This would be filth in low, clear water for some summer steel
