Amazing fly. By far my favourite for a number of reasons. Thanks for so many tips & techniques. You will go down as one of the world's greatest fly tyers ever. Perfect.
Good video, pros are fun to watch no matter what they’re doing. I’ve been doing tile for about 15 years and people will just stand in front of me and watch me work and actually call it art. But this is art. Badass
Love it. Great technique as always. Watching your videos and reading your fine book has made me want to get back into the hobby after a long absence. Thank you!
I absolutely love how you explain your process. By far my favorite fly tying channel. I just started learning a couple weeks ago. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Interesting pattern. In smaller size this could imitate the small black stone fly, which is very common around here at the beginning of the season. They start to hatch when there is still snow. Worth a try anyway. Nice trick with the legs by the way.
Finally an ant pattern I really really like and might be able to see!!! Bad part is out of all the materials I have I don’t have those exact three things!!!! lol. Crazy…. Nice pattern give ya sub ..

If tying this ant sizes 14-18 what feather would you recommend for these wings? What grade and type (cape, saddle, neck) should I buy for that?
Hi John, just small cock hackles from the lower part of the cape.
Wonderful!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
Thank you.
god damn that looks real good well done!
Thank you Raffael.
What you do is fantastic.
Thanks Doc.
Great stuff... as always! Could you tell me where to get the Rainy’s float foam?
Thanks Steve, sorry about the late reply. www.rainysflies.com/foam-products
Is that a saddle hackle you use on the wings?
Hi Will, no they are the tips from a couple of blue dun cock hackles that I use from an old Metz cape.
