- The Irish Cream is commonly used for Irish coffee, but once you taste an Irish Cream or Bailey's Brownies, you will add it to your favorites list.
This delicious liquor called Irish Cream is a protected geographical indicator product and there are a few brands that rule the market such as Bailey's (probably the most popular), Kerry Gold, or Carolans.
These chocolate Bailey's brownies are easy to make, they stay fudgy for a few days and you can store them in a food storage box, in the fridge. Remember to take Bailey's brownies out of the fridge 5 minutes before serving. And, if you want to complete your dessert, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the top.
Ingredients:
Bailey's Fudgy Brownies
dark chocolate 80g.
butter 60g.
2 eggs
sugar 150g.
vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
a pinch of salt
Bailey's (or any other Irish Cream) 80ml.
flour 150g.
cocoa powder 50g.
baking powder 1 teaspoon
Ganache:
melted dark chocolate 100g.
Baking tray dimensions: 23x23cm
Instructions:
1. Melt the chocolate with butter over a bain-marie, then let to cool down. You can also melt them in the microwave.
2. Add the eggs and mix. Add then the sugar and combine.
3. Add vanilla extract and salt, then the Irish cream.
4. In the end, sift the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder and combine them with the chocolate mixture. The mixture will seem sticky and compact, but don't worry. This is how it is supposed to be.
5. Bake the fudgy chocolate brownies in the preheated oven at 170°C for 20-22 minutes.
6. Let to cool down and melt the dark chocolate then pour it on the brownies. Let then Bailey's Brownies cool down completely, in the fridge.

Do you have any substitutes for Irish cream? It's not easily available in my country.
Hi Ravi! Unfortunaly, there is no substitute for Irish cream (it is actually a mix of whiskey and cream), but you can try with a coffee liquor or orange liquor instead.

No, it is pretty subtle.

Not really! It's pretty cheap and so, so useful. Most of the people I know own a kitchen scale.
@@CasualCookery I'm a 58yr. old truck driver, I've been cooking since the age of 7yrs. old, worked as a cook in 2 of South Louisiana's top restaurants, that did not own kitchen scales, I don't know anyone who owns a kitchen scale

@@cancelchannel3394 you're so wrong about that! Using a scale doesn't mean you're a beginner, it means you want to be precise, mostly when preparing desserts. It depends on what kind of results you want to obtain, of course. You are free to use it or not, but your judgement is totally incorrect.
Not in the States, but it’s pretty standard in the UK and many other countries. They tend to do measurements by weight, whereas we go by volume. Annoying when you come across a recipe that sounds good, I know!
