This is my favorite interview. As an image designer starting out many years ago, I had one particular client who was a cross dresser. I helped him put together packages of beauty supplies from the salon I worked at. He was a local real estate agent. Anyway, there is a definite difference between a cross dresser, a person who does drag, a trans individual...guys who are straight who cross dress, I just think they are very artistic and that arouses them.
My partner of 12 years is androgynous in style, but very masculine, sexually.
Never doubt the masculinity of a gentle man. :)
Lastly, in the 80s rock n roll scene, men felt the freedom to beautiful, even if they weren't gay. Artists

Thank you so much for this interview, Mark. Amy speaks for all of us crossdressers (I am one). 💖
Amy's statement "I dress for my own male gaze," hits the spot and resonates with me and I am sure for many other fellow crossdressers out there. 🤗 The simplest way to put it is that we are such big fans of feminity & women that we want to look like one & embrace our feminine side. I am not gay nor attracted to males & I am married too (but unlike Amy, I have to keep this secret).
Stay gorgeous, Amy, you have a beautiful soul ❤️

When I was a teenager I used to work in a high end department store and we had a regular who would come and buy women's shoes. He was a straight older guy, happily married to a woman and totally open that he was a cross dresser. I almost find the comment board more interesting than the subject. The fact that other people can have such an emotional reaction to a man wearing women's clothes just shows that the "weirdness" is not confined to Amy. If the topic was someone who liked to wear tuxedos to casual events or dress up in Halloween costumes every two weeks, it's hard to imagine the same level of vitriol that some commenters have here. Also interesting how many people need to insist he is gay, like it eases their cognitive dissonance to put him in this box they've set up. I would think it would be a lot easier to admit you're gay in this day and age - indeed, "A Gay Man" wouldn't begin to make the cut for this channel...

Most crossdressers are kind, take care of themselves, know how to respect women and know so much about the female world. I can't understand how this can be seen as something so negative. They are not hurting anyone by being themselves. I don't understand why looking like a woman can be offensive or a laughing matter. The patriarchy really does damage and promotes hate where there should be love and respect.

Cross dressing is something I have struggled to understand so this was interesting for me. Trans gender women makes sense to me but this for me has always been so much more mysterious. The concept that he’s not gay and not trans but enjoys dressing like this is so interesting.

I graduated from high school in the early 1970's. At the after grad party, one of my male friends and I switched outfits part way through the evening. He wore my Scarlett O'Hara, Gone With the Wind, style dress and I wore his tuxedo. We were so matter of fact about it that no one knew what to do with us. We both had a curiosity about cross dressing and I still don't see anything wrong with that. It hurts no one. I would love to see another interview with Amy ... perhaps with his wife or the dominatrix. That would be very cool.

I was pretty ok with his interview and could see his point of view UNTIL he revealed he has a polymorphous relationship with his wife. While I understand that agreements are made between husband and wife, somehow that just went too far for me on top of the cross dressing. I believe that eventually that erodes relationships and he already has an abnormality not found in most marriages.

He is not telling half of the story. People with normal childhoods dont have desires for extreme expressions and dominatrix services. Something very extreme has happened to him as a child. Either he was too young to remember or blocked it out. THIS ISN'T NORMAL BEHAVIOUR, PLEASE DON'T TRY TO NORMALISE IT.
