After years of Ohio and California being the reigning champions of the coaster game, it’s amazing to see Florida take charge recently. If you live in any of these states as an enthusiast, I honestly have to say you’re pretty lucky.
My son and I have been on Velocicoaster over twenty times and Iron Gwazi about 7 times and we still prefer Velocicoaster. There is no wrong answer here. It’s like comparing pizza to chocolate. Both amazing but completely different. We love the launches on velocicoaster especially the second one over the top hat. And the mosasaurus roll is just the icing on the cake. We feel the mosasaurus roll is more intense than Gwazi’s death roll. I can understand why many prefer Iron Gwazi. It’s a more violent and aggressive ride and some prefer that. I actually got a little banged up being whipped around so much within the restraints especially my thighs. But that’s what makes it so incredible. Velocicoaster has better trains and more comfortable restraints also. We’re lucky yo have both of these in florida. And let’s not forget Mako.
@@YElighS_17 Iron gwazi is still an S-tier coaster. Theming means nothing when your violently ejected out of your seat. When you have pacing that relentless, there's no time to stop and admire the scenery .

I'm definitely an Iron Gwazi, then Velocicoaster and Mako guy. Velocicoaster is 100% the whole package and amazing, however Iron Gwazi is just a better coaster.
Its been amazing to see FL go from having just a decent coaster collection to a world class lineup in my lifetime. Great list always good to see love for my home state

Slinky Dog over Mine Blower and Kumba is.. interesting, but I guess I can’t say anything since I skipped riding it when I was at Hollywood Studios. I would actually put Mine Blower up near the top 5, but maybe it has gotten rougher since I rode in 2019. My top 10 list would look something like: 1. Iron Gwazi (may be home park bias here) 2. Velocicoaster 3. Mako 4. Hagrid’s 5. Mine Blower 6. Montu 7. Cheetah Hunt 8. Sheikra 9. Space Mountain (have not ridden in awhile but I remember it being a blast) 10. Ice Breaker 5-10 are all pretty close and could be interchangeable, but the top 4 are set.
My Top 15 is as follows: 15. Tigris 14. Hagrids 13. White Lightning 12. Sheikra 11. Cheetah Hunt 10. Kraken 9. Hulk 8.Mine Blower 7. Ice Breaker 6. Manta 5. Kumba 4. Montu 3. Mako 2. Velocicoaster 1. Iron Gwazi The 2 old dragon challenge coasters would have been slotted between Hulk and Kraken as I rode those and that is where they fall in my rankings. The coasters I've have not been on but could sneak into the Top 15 are the following: Expedition Everest, Coastersaurus, and Guardians of the Galaxy, and maybe Tron but I doubt it. Hurricane, and Cobra's Curse just missed my Top 15.
Now that's a solid list I can get behind. Iron Gwazi on another level over Velocicoaster. I enjoyed a night ride on,backrow of Mako to being somewhat close to Velocicoaster. But a night ride on Iron Gwazi literally destroyed me. Don't want to get in the details 😂, but I have never came off a ride with sweat like I did a full,workout.
We love these lists because they are always so debatable. And this one is no different. Being this is my home state, and I ride all these coasters more than any other coasters (except coasters located at Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Darien Lake), I respect this list. No Disney coasters are in my top 15 and Iron Gwazi a league above Velocicoaster. Some people get too carried away by the "whole package" ride. While a story and theming is great, I look at just the ride itself. I am not a Universal fan at all, but I try to not let that detract from my opinions on rides. I think Hulk is incredible 😉, Hagrids is okay. Not being into,Harry Potter, actually I refuse to look,at anything Harry Potter, I still enjoyed the ride. Velocicoaster is a great/amazing coaster. Personal preference, I flip flop on liking Mako more one day, than Velocicoaster. But I have never waivered on Iron Gwazi. I'm am old stooge, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. I've been riding coasters since the mid 1980s, so my taste is probably old fashion😂
Even though I never been to Florida, I gotta say I live all of the coasters that you mentioned, because they look super cool! And some are indoors and some great theming! Which is also cool as well! You made great ranks in Florida!
In my opinion after riding Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster, Velocicoaster is the best coaster in florida although iron Gwazi has the best drop and more intense airtime, Velocicoaster is a quite a bit better because of the awesome theming and It is a lot longer so you are having fun in that coaster for a lot longer but that does not mean Iron Gwazi is bad, it stills and incredibly awesome ride
GUARDIANS WAS SOOOO FUN (#75)! Seven Dwarfs kinda let me down because I hear suspended and think big bad wolf at BGW. It was cute but meh. I had the most fun at seaworld, I walked onto mako for my first ride ever. Marathoned it til the lights came on and caught a night rain ride 😍☔
Love the list. Lots of love for Sea World parks! It’s hard for me to put anything from Disney and Universal in my FL top 15 due to price of admission and wait times. Also Islands of adventure doesn’t have much for little kids so I will be lucky to ride velocicoaster this decade.
My main criteria is fun/how much i enjoy the ride; includes thrills but also theming and overall experience music, setting etc. 1. Velocicoaster 2. Iron g 3. Manta. Would also include in no order - mako, hulk, hagrids, guardians, montu, cheetah, mummy (bc its so fun and love the quotable catch phrases). Sheikra and rip ride (for the music, climb, and ejector) in no order would probably be next. I do enjoy kraken esp the final tunnel kraken next. Next in no order prob kumba, cobra, rock n rollercoaster. Not a fan of tigris or icebreaker (w its dis/comfort collars). Fave parts of velocicoaster for me are m roll***, top hat, wave turn but really love all of it so much fun and great adrenaline rush. Havent been to any funspots.

I went Universal Orlando in June of 2021 and I rode the Velocicoaster oh my gosh that’s my favorite roller coaster soo far my second favorite coaster is Hagrids Motor Bike adventure even tho I’m a major Harry Potter Fan by the way and then the Incredible Hulk Coaster. And back in June Of 2019 i rode Expedition Everest is one of my favorite Disney Roller coaster there you go those are my favorite Florida roller coasters soo far I might go to Busch Gardens Tampa in the near future.

I think the Iron Gwazi vs Velocicoaster for me comes down to all around ride or am I just judging on coaster by itself. As a pure coaster I’d have to give the edge to Gwazi. But Velocicoaster is the better all around ride with all the theming and just how well everything is done! But if we are talking about the all around best ride neither of them touch Hagrids. Is hagrids as intense? No. But it’s just got so much going for it that it’s hard to complete with if you are looking for an all around well rounded ride.
Love the list. I put mako ahead of Iron Gwazi. Iron Gwazi was fun but the RMC restraints beat me up. I would rather ride a floater airtime RMC as I don’t leave with bruised shins. I’m a sucker for BM hypers so they usually rank high on my list.
Velocicoaster is a one trick pony with the Mososauraus roll while Iron Gwazi is a masterpiece with an assortment of iconic elements packed into one ride. Also, Velocicoaster’s theming does a fantastic job hiding it’s flaws like makeup with the meh layout. Matter of fact, I can argue that Pantheon has a better layout with no zero theming 😂
Wow. Hard disagree. I flew out of my seat in the back row on Velocicoaster, the second launch is insane, the stall over the road feels cooler with a better view, the head choppers are better, the seats are more comfortable, the operations are a thousand times better, and Iron Gwazi slams to a stop before it feels like a complete ride. Strip away the theming and I’ll still take Velocicoaster any day.
Revenge of the mummy is so fun but breath taking just as he said when you think it’s over you go down a decent ly big drop in the pitch darkyhrill and fun

I completely agree with your top 3, but the rest of the list is wild! Montu is way too low imo, and Seven Dwarves Mine Train is worse than most of your honorable mentions. But opinions are fun and this was a great watch!

Just talking Disney Coasters, I much prefer Big Thunder Mountain to Seven Dwarves Mine Train. The latter is a complete waste of space, and not worth the insane long line.

The fact that you have Slinky Dog Dash and Space Mountain ahead of Kumba is ridiculous. If you have Sheikra and Cheetah Hunt ahead of Kumba, then ok. Once again I disagree. Also, Iron Gwazi > VeliciCoaster.
Couldn’t really find a theme to this video. You placed slinky dog dash and a lot of Disney rides over Kumba, Tigris, Kraken. Etc. and there’s no way those Disney coasters are higher on your top 50 list. This seemed like a video for people who don’t visit Florida. But as a Floridian. 50% of the top 10 are rides I don’t even bother to ride when I go to those parks

On one hand, I wish I waited until Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster opened to go. On the other hand, Montu is my #1 overall.

I flew out of my seat in the back row on Velocicoaster, the second launch is insane, the stall over the road feels cooler with a better view, the head choppers are better, the seats are more comfortable, the operations are a thousand times better, and Iron Gwazi slams to a stop before it feels like a complete ride. Strip away the theming and I’ll still take Velocicoaster any day.

I completely agree with your top 3, but the rest of the list is wild! Montu is way too low imo, and Seven Dwarves Mine Train is worse than most of your honorable mentions. But opinions are fun and this was a great watch!

Great and Awesome List but I just don't agree with Slinky Dog Dash being over rides like Kumba, Rock n Roller Coaster and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. But Everyone has thier own opinion
Just talking Disney Coasters, I much prefer Big Thunder Mountain to Seven Dwarves Mine Train. The latter is a complete waste of space, and not worth the insane long line.

The fact that you have Slinky Dog Dash and Space Mountain ahead of Kumba is ridiculous. If you have Sheikra and Cheetah Hunt ahead of Kumba, then ok. Once again I disagree. Also, Iron Gwazi > VeliciCoaster.

Couldn’t really find a theme to this video. You placed slinky dog dash and a lot of Disney rides over Kumba, Tigris, Kraken. Etc. and there’s no way those Disney coasters are higher on your top 50 list. This seemed like a video for people who don’t visit Florida. But as a Floridian. 50% of the top 10 are rides I don’t even bother to ride when I go to those parks
As I said in the beginning, there was no way to give every coaster in FL its proper representation
