it's an intentional choice, supposed to tie in with 5 being young and full of energy (and they wanted to make 5 as different to 4 as possible due to how long tom baker was in the role)

Stories like these show how Davison's Doctor seemed to be laying down all the time.

He does seem to lie down a lot, doesn't he? Funny enough, when I think of Doctors that lie down a lot, the first one to come to mind is Pertwee's, often cuz his Doctor is knocked unconscious by someone/something in order to slow the plot down. I wonder who's seen laying down more between the two.

I swear that in this episode the Master was just playing kind of racist/deeply embarrassing dress-up (with silly putty??), for once totally not expecting the Doctor to run across him, and then had to confidently cackle like he planned it all along.

This is the one where Anthony Ainley wanted the make up artists to put the bald cap for Kalid over his wig that he thought nobody knew about. It was a theatrical wig that looked good from a distance, but close up you could see the mesh across his forehead. In the end John Nathan Turner found a separate room where one make up person would be allowed to remove Ainley's wig and apply the bald cap and make up.
Hey, if I may, does anyone know, why he used a wig? I read about the fake beard, but haven't seen anything about wig

@loki_fan_7097 oh, to answer the second part of your question, this was told by Peter Davison in an interview.
Another fact about Ainley is that he was independently wealthy and acted only as something to do. He got bored with it after Dr Who and gave it up in favour of watching cricket instead.
