My hunt for 80%+ silver brings some exciting results!
What you might find if someone allows you to look through their coin stash. 😍
Thanks for the coins Milly and Brendon. Cheers for the capsules Phil.

    Nice Finds,
Its always great to find friends or colleagues who also share the hobby.
Networking to find coins that you want or need is great.

Sure is. Coin collecting is typically a very insular hobby, so it's great chatting with people who share your passion in a rather niche topic.

The holy trinity 1966 20c wavey variety, $1 2000 mule error and the $2 2012 red poppy.
Blessed be the noodlers, may their rolls carry favour.
Bless the hands that find them, bestow upon us a great bounty.
      Amen.

Awesome intro video sym, I see you have added to your RUclips handle. I think you made the right choice cause I enjoy watching your hunts for COINS during your ADVENTURES in the bush and coast! 👍🏻👍🏻
Interesting you have a fake 2012 red poppy. I haven't seen any of those before. The $2 red poppy is the one coin I haven't gotten for my collection yet, awesome to see yours. Cheers and thanks for sharing 😊

S2G I have lots of interesting oddities. Lots of coins worth face value or less if that's possible 😝
Thanks, I was hoping to slip the name change past everyone 😋
      Congrats on 500 subs!

It has to be every noodlers fantasy.
It IS possible. Just like finding a 2000 mule or a 1966 wavey 20c.
      Keeping the dream alive!

Hi Sym, I have been a subscriber to your channel for a while now and enjoy your noodling style, background settings and commentary on your channel and other noodlers/coin collectors (PFC, TCH, S2G, HCF, TNM, HRC, DELTA, etc.) all of which has helped me improve my knowledge and quest for more coins, I've only been seriously noodling and collecting mostly Aussie Decimal $2, $1, 50c coins for nearly 2 years now and have been surprised by what I have picked up, but like most I'm still hunting the elusive red poppy and coronation coins, although I have plenty of other favourites, keep up the great work with your channel. Cheers 🍻 Peter J 😊

Thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement ☺
I'm learning and very new to this so it's nice to be mentioned with those other names. I'm not at their level yet!
I'm just having a go and enjoy sharing some of the highlights hoping to encourage others to do the same.
What has been your best coin find to date?
      Keep on hunting! Sym

Amazing to see them in real life. Lucky they were rescued from circulation before becoming no poppies.
The paint is so poorly bonded to the coin.

It's easy spotting a real red poppy from a fake once you know what to look for. 😉
Swapping and networking is the best way to access coins from around the country and the world, for very little cost.
Are you hunting for anything in particular?

Be careful Symbungee if those capsules are the type that don't firmly fit together they tend to come apart and drop the coin leading to damage.I occasionally buy coins online and sellers put them in cheap capsules as a selling point.Twice now i have gone to take coins out of envelopes and the capsule has parted dropping my coin. The best place for that type of capsule is the bin.

The Tasmanian coin collectors on RUclips should get together once a year for a group video to have a chat about coins.

These are a good brand of capsule and can be purchased from various online stores and eBay. This is just the first link that came up when I Googled buy "$2 coin capsule".
You might also be able to get them from your local coin shop.
      Hope this helps 😊

Even with the chipped paint the red poppy will sell for well over $100 on eBay. I was fortunate to buy them on eBay when they were only $30 a pop
At the time. Some people are even trying to fake the red poppy now with red nail polish on the gold poppy coin. You have to always be
Vigilant collecting coins because of fakes unfortunately.

    • @symbungee
      @symbungee  2 года назад

      Thats true.
Fortunatly it's easy to spot a fake in real life, photos on eBay etc may be intentionally misleading... buyers should be cautious.
