Aww ! Thanks for this. Dorothy was just naturally talented and sexy. RIP Mr. Armstrong and Dorothy Dandridge ! Thank you for Leaving us with your incredible gifts !
Speaking of Harlem; I just chatted with Raquelle Chavis, former Alvin Ailey dancer; hm..when: will you show some archive clips of Ailey performances? Both the company and of himself. Love and respect, Hans.
Oh where did all the talent go? Real people, real talent. No buff n puff, no CGI, auto tune, synth.. just real talent performing. Acting, dancing singing playing instruments... they don't do that today, do they?
ReelBlack, great to see this and many other wonderful videos. Wow.......what a time we're living in of "True Change" !! I pray that the many blessings of the "DIVINE" would be showered upon you to surpass over a "Million Subscribers". Peace, Love & Blessings brethren😊. 🙏🏾
Thank-you Ms. ReelBlack… As a kid I loved The Soul Train, even I couldn’t dance :) but I loved that and had a few 45’s of this type of music. Now, I am 67 yo,but really enjoy… or 9f live in your acct. First time til today on your acct… thank-you again… 😉👍🤠😃
The best quality I’ve ever seen of this number. I see so much of Young Janet Jackson and Kim Fields in Dorothy. I think it’s the dark eyes and smile ❤️❤️
Had fun singing and performing with Louis Armstrong which also featured Buck and Bubbles. Yes! Directed by Ray McCarey Starring Constance Moore. A dazzling number from the 1940's.
It's astounding to think that while this performance was taking place the world was at war with that black-gummy pencileraser-shaped moustache German. Thank you for this Black History
John Bubbles was the finest dancer there was. Every move he did was his own. He could do things that in seconds that others would take 3 months to accomplish.
How did they do it? With those smiles & dance & poise they ushered in the era of jazz & Harlem Renaissance just after those race riots targeting African-Americans in 1919. It was so much Black culture in America. White people seated in Black clubs listening to those golden tunes.
I remember Louie Armstrong when I was a little kid in the 1960s. He was very popular. Who is that white woman talking to the guy? She looks exactly like my late mother😢

Wow! I used to sing Ain't Misbehavin in London Jazz venues a few decades ago. Somehow this showreel seems patronising and racist or am I just an ol snowflake now??
@@marissawilson4644 it might not be ...it just seems a bit of stereo typing of the black minstrels and the white showgirls for the entertainment of a few? Maybe of the small hat brigade

It was Janet who originally wanted to portray Dorothy but Halle kind of snatched it out from under her.

In this footage Dorothy reminds me of a young Halle Berry during her pageant days.
The same Halle Berry who played her in a biopic on her life!
My girl Dorothy 🥰
Thank you so much for this.
Please keep going !!!
Literally just shouted them out during my daily libations. Ashe to the ancestors who continue to manifest in this 3D illusion.
